    • @CutePuppy520
      @CutePuppy520 2 года назад +79

      Nah, she has had a lot of surgeries just to enhance her looks, just as much as other celebrities.
      Just to tackle her weight she needed to have gastric by pass surgery in order to loss weight that fast..
      And she would also need tummy tuck to tackle the lose skin, and also lipo at certain areas of her bodies, and probably lots of laser treatments for skin tightening on her body just because she lost so much weight in one year.
      Not all celebrities need surgeries to tackle weight issues you know, so Adele isn’t better than any of them when it comes to surgeries.
      Then you have to add in the neck lift, nose jobs, brow lift, eye lid surgery...etc that Adele has gotten as well.
      That’s how much surgeries she have gotten to get to where she is today.

    As someone who lost 100lbs. Sometimes surgery is required to look normal after weight loss. Especially if you have excess skin. This includes face lifts, skin removal from the arms, legs, stomach, back, and buttocks. As well as a tummy tuck. All of these things are done to let the person feel normal after all their hard work. And is not a substitute for weight loss.
    It cam be very dis heartening to lose all that weight and still not be able to wear certain clothes or swim wear.

      Extra weight can typically make people look older than their actual age. You see this a lot when people lose weight drastically (they tend to look much younger). I personally have seen the difference in my own weight loss/gain over the years so I know from personal experience too. @@becksdre3294 i think it’s the other way around. Losing a lot of fat in your face can make you look older because what keeps your skin looking taut is the fat under it (think of it like a balloon…inflated it’s tight/taut, but when it deflated it looks wrinkly). We tend to lose fat cells from our face as we age, giving our faces a less round and baby-like appearance. I think Adele looked much more youthful in her face when it was fuller. As for her hairstyle and clothes, that’s where I think it made her look older.

      100% agree! I’ve always had a face on the rounder side, I mean if you measure it, it turns towards oval, but it’s the fullness of my cheeks and the soft jawline that give that first impression. Now, I have a normal
      weight for my height and age, and while I am always on the slimmer side, my face didn’t change dramatically from when I was in my teens up until now (31).
      HOWEVER, I did lose a lot of weight in my twenties due to anxiety, quite alarming actually, and I can absolutely confirm that yes, your face shape can change a bit and its structure can be emphasized - I lost SOME of the fat on my cheeks and you could see the shape of the cheekbones, also my jawline seemed a bit tighter, but NOTHING compared to what plastic surgery can achieve, even minimally and exquisitely done. I was still me, my face features were more defined then, slightly contoured I’d say, but still on the round side compared to my overall look, my eyes or eyebrows didn’t change (not that I have hooded eyes, but I have some extra flesh there, and it didn’t go anywhere).
      YES, your face does change when you lose a lot of weight. NO, it’s not as dramatic as some people claim to be.

    I'm a huge fan of Adele & her Music. Oprah did an Interview at her home with Adele it was combined with her evening at the Griffith Conservatory One Night Only Concert. She told Oprah that she lost the weight in approximately 2 years. I wouldn't comment on whether Adele had Surgery or not. She has always been very beautiful. She works out 3-4 times a day. Her transformation is amazing. She looks incredible happier than I have ever seen her. Adele wouldn't share something this personal. I don't think anyone should speculate. It was very obvious in the Oprah interview that she wasn't telling the complete truth. I caught it right away. I could tell even Oprah didn't quite buy the 'I just lift weights' answer yet she really didn't ask point blank. Anytime someone is vague about their weightloss , it's because they didn't do it naturally, it was either pills, lipo, gastric surgery or an ED. It's fine if she doesn't want to disclose but again, it's an insult to our intelligence. She's been obese her whole adult life, you don't just become a thin person with curves in the right places in a couple of years. Her face definitely looks different. Just look at her early days of her career during the 19 album era, totally different face shape. She looks great, very classic and I'm happy for her ahem* "weightloss".

    I'm so glad to see someone break down Adele's transformation! Lorry has a great eye & perspective to explain how plastic surgery can enhance features of women like the gorgeous Adele. Beauty standards are very high for women esp celebrities and injections can only take one so far! I wish more women came forward to say that "behind the scenes" there's more involved to their face/body changes. I always keep in mind not everything I compare myself to is solely from hitting the gym hard, having an amazing makeup artist, and wearing tailored clothes to show off a flattering silhouette.

  • @kbyeforever
    @kbyeforever 2 года назад +93

    i definitely agree that she had weight loss surgery but i would like to offer some insight for your viewers as she wouldn't necessarily need to exercise to lose weight (that's not really how weight loss occurs anyway, it generally happens as a result of limiting calories). weight loss surgery, also called bariatric surgery (roux en y gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, duodenal switch are the common types) generally just changes the size of your stomach and is not liposuction nor a way to "cut corners" (there is nothing wrong with lipo or cutting corners by the way, but just want to clarify that's not what bariatric surgery is)
    after surgery, you go on a restrictive diet with this new stomach because it can't hold very much food. low fat, low sugar, high protein, very very small portions, and lots of dietary supplements (since you can't eat as much so it can be harder to get all necessary nutrients)
    weight loss surgery is a tool for those who have struggled to maintain a healthy weight (must have a high BMI / or other comorbidities). it would be considered normal to lose 100 lbs in the year after weight loss surgery and with her resources i'm sure keeping it off won't be a problem. good for her! i am currently a candidate for weight loss surgery and felt compelled to offer some insight as so many people misunderstand what actually occurs! it is not easy!
    edited to add: i didn't mean to imply that she doesn't exercise. to avoid muscle loss during weight loss, she would need to exercise regularly. as we all should anyway!

However, I will say I wish cosmetic surgery wasnt so taboo🙁 for us in general thats why as problematic as Cardi B can be she is such a fresh breathe of air when it comes to her owning up to her procedures, her experience with said procedures, etc. Now im not saying all celebs need to do this but its just nice when they do😊i personally dream of a world where getting work done is no longer looked down upon

The intention (weight loss and health) was good, but the whole experience really messed with me for 20 years total. I can't imagine losing 100 pounds in a year without some kind of assistance, whether it be surgical, mental, or both. Thank you for bringing the point of possible weight loss surgery up. Tbh I think it’s fair to say she could have done it an still been healthy about it. It would not be that outlandish. Plus, she was steady slimming down over the years.
