  • In this follow up series to the original Zero to Fightstick, you'll again see how to build/assemble your very own arcade controls from the ground up. If you've wanted to know how to build your own stick but weren't sure how, this is meant to be your resource. This time you'll learn how to build an even more advanced setup, if that's your thing, or you can use just the information you need to build the setup of your choice.
In this episode you'll learn about how to use a 20 pin bundle cable setup if you're a beginner, then on to the basics of wire (how to select it, what types there are, etc.), and how to put on quick disconnect terminals.
Music: "Creamer, Please" by John Montoya
No Patreon, etc. (yet) but if you'd like to support me, you can always give saturnforge.com a visit where you'll find my store with all the stuff I don't want.

Can't believe no one's commenting and stuff. Thanks for your great quality resources and insights into stick building. I may yet make one myself some day. 👍

Thanks! I figure it's a highly niche audience and I'm not popular, haha. Still, I wanted to have the material out there for aspiring builders to use.

@@Zevaeros It's not that niche dude. Keep doing your thing and you'll surely have a proper audience that can learn from you.

Hi, thanks for this! You really put the time I to making a detailed resource. I've got a friend in Brazil who wants to replace the buttons in his Dreamcast arcade stick. I'm in Japan so can't just nip round to his house to look at it with him. My experience is only in the easy snap together stuff like Madcatz TE and HRAP, but I'm trying to help him as he ha no experience upgrading sticks. I've found that the DC stick's old buttons are connected to a 20 pin harness that I think needs to be replaced to connect with new buttons. I think maybe this kind of thing might be the solution. Thanks again for making this guide!

Thanks, I'm glad it's useful for you! I think there are some dedicated guides for converting the old Agetec "Green Goblin" out there on YT, so make sure you look around.

UPDATE: I know I recommended silicone wire in this video, but now I definitely prefer PVC. It is SO much easier to use when making sleeved wiring.
I know it's been a while but I do plan on making more content in the near(ish) future.
