  • One thing i left out is the Chinese knock off parts flooding the market. This is driving the cost of used parts down and making some machines not even worth while to buy anymore .

    I got ripped off on eBay years ago. I sold a $300 item for a $100 + $20 shipped to the US from Canada cheaper then It cost. Shipped it right before I moved. Moved and took two weeks for my new place to get internet. When I got back on line the customer said I didn’t ship it and the money had been pulled from my PayPal. Messaged the customer said hope you enjoy your free item.

    I also buy and sell used auto parts on Ebay. I haven't had too many returns on the items I've sold.
    But I have had problems returning parts that were listed incorrect and some that the photos of the parts taken by the seller just sucked and were taken at angles hiding imperfections, dents and scratches. And to tell you the truth, it's not a very easy process to get a full refund from the sellers who hide behind the "No Returns policy. It's now came down to me not buying anymore used auto parts from Ebay unless I have no choice.

      There are definitely some bad sellers out there, we always tried to take plenty of photos so it was all there but a surprising amount of people didn’t even bother to look at them.

      It would depend on how many listings you're hitting each month. If you have listed/sold 306 or more, it would be more cost effective to have the basic store @ $21.95 a month. If you are doing 1152 or more listed and sold it would be more cost effective to have the premium store @ $59.95. That is all listed and sold since if you start the month with 250 listings and you list 100 but sell 50, its still over the 306 mark even though it would only show you have 300 current listings. I am going to check my eBay now since I'm pretty sure they are charging me 74.99 a month.

    • @TheATVHustle
      @TheATVHustle  4 месяца назад +1

      They do charge me $74.95 a month since I don't pay annual. To cover the cost of month to month The basic store would be an extra 24 listings and the premium an extra 150.

    ebay needs to implement a return policy for stuff sold in ebay motors, that the buyer needs to provide a invoice or receipt from a certified repair shop stating the item is DOA or broken because ive had so many buyers last few years trying to install the the parts them selfs to save money and end up damaging the part from incorrectly installing and then open a item not as described case saying the part was broken. I also had to get rid of PayPal because I sold someone a 800 motor block and they ruined it by never fixing their cooling issue so 2 months later they opened a case with PayPal saying I sent them a bad engine block. even after I asked the buyer a bunch of investigative questions basically admitting to it being their fault. I had to fight with PayPal for 4 months and still lost the case. just wild what some people will try to do to you now a days to get something for free from their ignorance

      This is a good idea, I mean we do make mistakes but I do my best to make sure everything we ship out is good to go or as described. Even then eBay has made it hard to read the details on a part, I sold a diff and even wrote in the first picture “for parts or repair” big and red, the guy left negative feedback that the diff was messed up. It was 20% of the price of all the others on eBay is probably why they bought it.

      @@TheATVHustle that's another thing I noticed selling on there as well...I sell boat engine parts so shipping can get expensive as I'm sure you're well aware selling what you sell. I sold a gearcase for parts or repair for $75 plus shipping because it needed rebuilt. Good to go ones sell for around $300/400 an it sold within mins. I should of taken that as a red flag and reached out to confirm with them that they read the description but because since I do this all by myself I was just to swamped an forgot to. Of course they opened a return soon as they got saying it didn't work lol I can guarantee they jumped on it because of the price an didn't bother to read anything. I paid $100 in shipping both ways lol

    What are some ATVs/sxs/ATCs that if you see them for sale you know they are a gold mine for parts? Like the parts will sell and make you money?
    When you get one, do you always try and get it working or do you just strip it and place the parts for sell?

    • @TheATVHustle

      Lately it’s been fix everything that’s repairable, parts wise I really like yz125s 96-01, early rzr 800, sportquads like the ltz, ltr, 400ex, etc. it really is more price point that specific models now. I like fuel injected machines under $500. I don’t really do the atcs since very few models are worth while and those bring big bucks.

    I f’ing hate their return policy they are many scammers out there that abuse it buy stating the item doesn’t work when it does and then they start a return and send THEIR damage part back and not the one I sent the. I had this happen to me with a $350 Prius abs module, scum bag Arab claimed it didn’t work and so sure I accept the refund but what was returned was not my item and I tried telling eBay this and they did nothing for me. I guess I can filter out their scammers by putting a custom made sticker with my logo saying that if removed it will void any warranty/return.
