Bat Out of Hell...the ENTIRE album is still my favorite album of all time! Listening to it is an experience, one hundred percent. I am almost 54 and it is one of my go-to playlists, especially if I'm driving long distances.

You may want to react to Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." Plenty of surprises in that duet! Meatloaf was known for rock opera, along with Pink Floyd and some others. You have done Pink Floyd, but you really need to do Meatloaf. "Bat Out of Hell" and "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" are also worth reacting to.

That was absolutely magnificent! I had never seen/heard this performance…it was exquisitely and reverently executed…and the way it echoed and reverberated throughout the stadium was stunning!
I started to tear up less than 15 seconds in.

He may be the most successful singer of all time that many haven't heard of. His album sales are in the top 10 of all time. Bat Out of Hell continues to be a good seller even today (I highly recommend giving the songs from that a listen).

His 'Bat Out of Hell' album sold 45 million copies! There's a very good reason for that - it is an absolute classic - every song on it is worth listening to. He reminds me of Freddie Mercury in that he always gives 110% to every performance. Also, like Freddie he was a performer so best watched live!

Meat Loaf was actually originally an actor who teamed up withvthe phenomenal songwriter Jim Steinman to make the Bat Out Of Hell album. There was a half hour documentary on doing the title track. Basically anything he did was great. The live version of Paradise by the Dashboard Light is phenomenal. One of my favourites is 2 out of 3 ain't bad. His stuff is amazing

@@stephanienewton4982 Thank you. My comment was a rather knee-jerk reaction to my general impression of his dramatic mannerisms and my experience with some of his other performances. There are things and people that appeal, others that repulse, and plenty that inspire nothing more than a "Meh" from us.
I do think Meatloaf's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" was laudable (and, yes, I listened to it all, a bit curious to consider how he as an artist would interpret it, but mostly listening out of respect for our National anthem). He did have a fine voice.
P.S.: I wonder if maybe my overall reaction to the artist relates somehow to his choice of stage name? Maybe I've been juxtaposing my distaste for his mannerisms with my love for the taste of one of my favorite entrees, making me defensive. Somewhat ironic, lol... since meatloaf can be made so many different ways.
Nice talking with you. God bless.

@@Sometimes-even-lyrical sometimes stuff comes out of our mouths before we have time to realise we didnt put the brain gear! I've read interviews about Meatloaf, born Marvin Aday but changed his name to Michael later, as being a gentle soul. Maybe what we see is just a dramatic persona for the stage. Yeah I've heard better renditions of the anthem but everybody's voices are different/ individual. Thanks for the discussion Have a great day. :-)
