    As always, love your videos on the ninja thirsti!
    It’s been weeks now since I took your advice to use a large CO2 canister and simply swap it at air gas & I’m just now running out of CO2! I’m saving so much money.
    Thank you! 🙏 😊

      Oh yay!!! This makes me so happy!! Do you keep your cylinder on the counter? I wish they came in assorted colors 😂 Thanks so much for watching! 😃

    Do you mean 1 lbs 9 oz empty and 2 lbs 8 oz full instead of 1.9 lbs to 2.8 lbs? 3:44

    Probably dumb question. Does the CO2 need to be ‘food grade’ ?

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  4 месяца назад +3

      Not a dumb question! Yes, it does need to be Food Grade. The canister should be marked Food Grade. AirGas sells food grade. Thank you so much for watching! 😃

      I heard if it's under 20 then it had to be food grade

    How has your experience with the 5 lb canister been? Does it seem to work like the original canister all the way down to empty?

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  2 месяца назад

      The 5 lb canister has been great! It is similar to the original canisters where I notice the carbonation getting weak and then I know it's almost empty. Since the light on the Thirsti isn't accurate for the 5 lb canister you just have to go by taste to know it's getting empty. We are a household of 3, and the 5 lb canister lasts several months. Thanks so much for watching! 😃

    Thanks for the good vid and your explanation.
    Tell me please, why do you want the Canister/bottle (small one) to be completely empty before filling (understanding that they don’t ever use 100%)???
    Isn’t that just a waste of co2?
    Cheers

      Good question! You want your tank to be mostly empty before refilling due to safety concerns related to pressure buildup. Safety first! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

    Have you had any experience refilling with dry ice? I want to try, not sure if anyone around me sells it though. I used to brew beer and having to travel to get my tanks refilled was a pain in the butt.

      I haven’t tried using dry ice. Let me know if you do and how it goes! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

    Are the bottle from the sodastream and the ninja the same ones ?

    • @kstorrer
      @kstorrer  Месяц назад

      Sodastream has 2 types of bottles QuickConnect (pink) and Regular (blue). The Regular bottles are the same as the Thirsti bottles and are what was used in this video. Thanks so much for watching! 😃

    This process can be safe. It can also be extremely dangerous. Please secure the tank upside down, wear gloves and glasses would be a nice touch. Tanks that fall can get their values knocked off and literally launch through a cement wall. Holding the tank without gloves means if something starts spraying out, you'll either get frost bit or drop the tank, possibly both

    This is super dangerous.

      The blue sodastream bottles are the same as the Ninja bottles. The pink sodastream bottles don't work with Ninja. Thanks so much for watching! 😃
