The Max is about the same as the original. I tried the 2 sodastream 1 L bottles I have, and they won't fit unless you tilt and hold the bottle and remove the drip tray. Ninja should have made the Max a bit taller to accommodate a larger bottle since it can now dispense 1 liter! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

I have noticed this happening if I'm only using the 2-3 serving recipe, (which is what I used in the video). This happens because there's not much in the vessel and it gets pushed to the very front and then doesn't dispense easily. I've had to tip the machine a bit and smack the front of the vessel a few times to get it the slushie to fall down. If you make the 4-6 serving recipe or larger this shouldn't be an issue. The biggest improvement in my opinion is the dispensing speed. I was really hoping for a unit that could make multiple drinks at once! I am excited about the Dr Pepper. I hope it's better than Sodastream's Dr. Pete lol

My texture turned out basically identical to Wendy's. Did you mix everything really well before pouring it into the machine? Made sure the cool whip was thawed? Maybe it was the milk you used? Whole milk will make it creamier. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! 😃

@@kstorrer i only use whole milk, brand new jug, cool whip has been in the fridge for a few days so it was perfectly thawed, I wisked everything together very well. Wonder if adding heavy whipping cream would do anything

I have mine connected to a 5 lb CO2 tank. It costs me $13 to fill which is the equivalent of 5 of the 60L CO2 canisters. @@kstorrer I watched both already and did the direct connect following your vid! Was just curious on which approach you ended up sticking with. Im finding the fizziness to be less with the direct connect, compared to what I had previously with the ninja cannister. Thinking its probably an issue with the cable

Hi Kelsey! I like the looks of the black better but I’m hoping this new machine will work out all the problems with the original. I’m on my 4th machine in 10 months. Many people of the ninja facebook groups have had problems as well. I think this first machine wasn’t ready for “prime time.” I was at my target today after seeing this video & saw the new machine & they had the zero cola! I was so exited I grabbed 5 packs. Got to self check & scanned & it said it couldn’t be sold. A target team member came over & said I couldn’t buy them. I don’t think they were supposed to be out on display yet. Such a bummer. But I will be calling back every day until they can sell them. I will also consider getting the new machine once we hear if some of the problems with the old machine have been addressed. Crossing my fingers.

I haven't, however, I am in a Facebook group for the Slushi and it is a known issue. People are saying it's from using milk in it, and it's at the joints. It's definitely a design issue, so I don't think replacing the vessel will fix the problem. I have made milkshakes and haven't experienced it. However, the peach juice drink I made in this video stained the vessel. It now has a slight orange tint to it. lt isn't a huge issue, but it is a bit annoying. They are out of stock of the vessels at the moment, so I can't get a replacement yet. But I can still use it - nothing serious like mold! I would tell you to go ahead and keep it unless you anticipate making a ton of milk based drinks in it since that seems to be related to the mold problem. Good questions! The size of the cup in the video is a size Small. I would estimate that you could probably fill at least 8 cups probably more. I ended up pouring it into a bowl and then freezing it which of course changes the consistency, but it's now like ice cream and I have a ton of it! You could always halve the recipe if you don't want that much which is probably what I'll do next time.

@@kstorrer You read my mind. I was both thinking about halfing the recipe and storing the remaining in the freezer for next day (albeit it would lose it's consistency and become frozen, it'd still be good to eat). I love the fact the ingredients are fairly straightforward. Cool whip, condensed milk and milk are standard staples in our fridge. Heavy cream is not, which is what most ice cream recipes use and I don't recall this recipe using it -- so that's good.

Oh, and my wife always has to have chocolate milk in the fridge, so the chocolate frosty will be even easier for us to make.
