Especially Nanna, whose accent is a mix of her native Icelandic/Scandinavian and Glaswegian (not sure where exactly that comes from, someone told me she lived there for a while)
My cousin who recently passed on..introduced me to this amazing band and I won’t ever forget it or him I was tripping on shrooms while listening to them for the first time it was amazing Rest up cousin Joel Ramirez forever in our hearts until we meet up again 🕊️🫶🏻”though the truth may vary this this, ships will carry our body’s safe to shore” 👏🏼👏🏼🫶🏻
Reminds me of way back in 2017 or so when I went to my first pro football game and we listen to two of their greatest albums on our way to the game. :)
Nanna and Ragnar sound so sweet together. I've been listening to OMAM since 2012. I'm 67 years young and have listened to many bands in all different genres. There style and enthusiasm is refreshing. They are very good musicians! Keep it up!
The early teens were a magical time for music - these guys, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Jonah and the Whale, all had a folk sound with occasional brass instruments. Gone too soon.
Three great melodies. Two great voices. Horn Babe and Accordion Dude. Great chord changes. Focused. Having fun. Icelanders sweating for God's sake. OMAM is an international treasure.
So am I in 2024. One of the best ever bands. Hope they return live!!! From UK. Seen them twice, both really, really memorable gigs, especially Bristol O2 with my teen daughter, her first proper gig and she absolutely LOVED IT!
Truly, what a spectacle everything that happened during the last song. People were on another level of happiness, and the guy singing didn't touch his face even once because he was hot, unlike in the previous songs. Everyone was vibing in sync, realizing at the same time that something special was happening during that last song. And well, it ended up being one of the most listened-to tracks. But how wonderful for the band and the people who were there to experience that. Today, at a massive concert, neither the audience nor the band will feel that sensation again. Greetings from Argentina
In 2014 I traveled to the US with my son-in-law, we drove around the west for 4000km listening to MAM on the car radio. These songs bring back great memories.
This may be the best performance of Little Talks I've ever seen. It seemed to be one of those rare occasions where a band and their audience really connected. Combined with the obvious good humor and camaraderie of OMAM it made for a kind of performance magic.
Artists and audience enjoying that magic synergy that can happen when all are having a great time, simply brilliant and it must have been a privelige to be there.
This video got me through covid. Four years after the lockdown and I go back to this viseo monthly. I saw it years ago on the shared family computer in the living room. The early 2010s were great times for discovering music! 🎶
Love and respect, just remember ❤️ we never know what life will give us 😂 I found out 4 days ago that I have lung cancer. Do the best that you can do now. And remember that we are just here now, and can go away at anytime. From Kevin metz
I'm a hard rock, heavy metal guy through and through and i have to say, this band is amazing! Little Talks has been over played but the rest of my head is an animal is just pure brilliance!
Omg I just love this!! Their voices are like ONE when they sing its pure magic...and the audience!! Omg the audience is JUST AMAZING!! Makes me cry a little every time I watch the last song...so damn good!! Thank you making us FEEL something...true artists :)!!!
I'm 56. When I was 18, I went off to college and discovered a band called REM. And then a band called U2. Then, a few years ago, I came upon a band called M83. And then I came upon a band called Sigur Ros. And today? A band called Of Monsters and Men. Good day indeed, ya know?
My favorite version of "Dirty Paws". Love the trumpet....and the bass adds wonderful substance. Vocals compliment each other with an understated, ethereal beauty, at once soft and powerful.
God, I just knew this song, Little Talks, and went in love with this band!!! That's one of the happiest songs and players ever!!! So good to listen to it!
I love this video, it always makes me feel good. The small area makes it feel so intimate and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves despite the cramped and heated metal box. I wish I was there for this one
I love them. I love their quirkiness, their originality and their raw talent. I can't say exactly why, but they remind of Irish bands. Or Bands from Breton like Manou. Probably because they seem to be so unique. Amazing.
Ahhhhh! I love these guys! They're so confident and chill while they jam. I always feel like I'm at a small private venue when I watch them. I can't wait to see them live!
This is great I guess you are from Scotland Lowlands I am Antoniou Fani from Greece I love Scotland even though i have never been to your lands Lot of love from Greece
10 years ago this is posted and I just read it and I've been a bass player for 30 years people have never stopped amazing me. One point in my life they only disappointed disappointed I thought lies of an enemy believe in Jesus and our Lord he pulled me out of the fire just like this music will help people or has helped people this the first song dirty feet I think puts a smile on my face every time I hear it's beautiful.Jesus

Still Listening in 2021! Who's here?! Still HITS!
The timbre of their voices together and the effect of their accents makes pure vocal magic.
you're right
Especially Nanna, whose accent is a mix of her native Icelandic/Scandinavian and Glaswegian (not sure where exactly that comes from, someone told me she lived there for a while)
unique and lovely sound
@@russhouldin5774 Little Talks is somewhat disturbing but otherwise yeah.
lovely yeah

Oh no, forget not.
No fooling! They're all awesome.,
I love this version so much more than the official video.
It is an excellent version. But, my favorite is the set they did on SNL.
Pure pleasure after finding this band
Can you believe this is nearly 10 years old - And I'm just now finding them! The internet IS a great thing...
One of the best bands in a very long time, No fluff, No frills, Just pure and true talent, Some musicians have it, most don't.
Nanna and Ragnar sound so sweet together. I've been listening to OMAM since 2012. I'm 67 years young and have listened to many bands in all different genres. There style and enthusiasm is refreshing. They are very good musicians! Keep it up!
I'm 69 years old, but go on loving you and your music.
Nice
I'm 77 years old and I heard it the first time a year ago! FANTASTIC😍

Im stuck in rehab and this 3 track live performance is helping me through it.
I cant count how many times ive listen to this recording.
I love to listen to it in the bus or trin While whistlining the Tunes as loud as I can
Three great melodies. Two great voices. Horn Babe and Accordion Dude. Great chord changes. Focused. Having fun. Icelanders sweating for God's sake. OMAM is an international treasure.
Horn Babe...l.o.l. But she sure is that!

Truly Incredible music

Still listening in 2020. You guys are what this pandemic needs! Love this performance n it calms me down after a stressful day
pandemic is a joke for most people. now it is starting over with another name.
I'll never understand thumbs down on a vid like this... great music, great band
In 2014 I traveled to the US with my son-in-law, we drove around the west for 4000km listening to MAM on the car radio. These songs bring back great memories.
thank you, thank you all. bless you for giving us your love. you have made my life so much better, again thank you .

i really liked your coment. Me the same just right this moment.... what a good version.
Absolutely Agree the atmosphere was just amazing at the end
Totally agree
It’s been six long years. Have you made a final decision yet? You said it ‘may’ be. Well is it or not? The suspense has been brutal!😉🤣😂✌️
can't name two others that can harmonize like these 2. simply wonderful
I still come back to this from time to time. The energy they had at this event was second to none!
Songs like this never die. Very different music! They have a wide variety of musical instruments including trumpet and accordion.
Their icelandic accent blends so perfectly into the music.

Never seen ‘em live. But I am captivated by this show. Their energy, their expressions…. They look like folk rockers I’d be friends with.
💘💘🌟🌟🥳🥳
The band has always been my favourite....but that audience needs a standing ovation!!
OMG the trumpet and accordion brought new life to the songs =) . So delightful for the ear. ;D
I'm a hard rock, heavy metal guy through and through and i have to say, this band is amazing! Little Talks has been over played but the rest of my head is an animal is just pure brilliance!
This set never gets old. I’m so happy I was able to see OMAM live in concert in 2019 Oakland, CA.
the crowd energy after the trumpet solo is so heartfelt had me in tears
Still sounds freaking awesome each time this old dragonfly comes back to listen ❤️
They are so good live. Mad respect.
Found this video few days ago, but it's on repeat from that day.
Ending is absolutely beautiful.
Omg I just love this!! Their voices are like ONE when they sing its pure magic...and the audience!! Omg the audience is JUST AMAZING!! Makes me cry a little every time I watch the last song...so damn good!! Thank you making us FEEL something...true artists :)!!!
the last song indeed!
Everybody going nuts after that trumpet solo, that's the greatest thing ever :3

I am on the same journey bro. 52. REM and U2 fan. Love M83, Sigur Ros, and Monsters. Seen them all but M83 live!
Dave Henry did you ever live in Calgary?
I'm about a decade earlier, but I love U2 and REM. I'll have to check out the others. Of course we all ended up in the same place with good music. :)
I'm 61 and on the same journey! OMAM is my favorite band at this time. I love a lot of music... but having a blast with OMAM
Hey man if you like M83, you might like the band Rüfus du sol
Amazing performance well done. Such a well written & arranged song. Excellent.
I love how the trumpet player tears it up on the solo for Little Talks, and then gets all bashful when she hears the response. It's adorable.
11:18 awesome solo
well done..bravo
Thanks for pointing that out: great groove. Nice sound for sure. Be remiss if I didn't give kudos to other band members.
That was amazing 😍
Still listening in 2022. Love their music and collaborations that create beauty to listen to.
I always play of monster's and men. All of that's available on RUclips.
I still come back to this particular video. It's just deep set in me.
Thank god there are groups that actually use instruments nowadays!!!
fewer and fewer every day now
Wow... such a wonderful organic moment
OMAM is my happy place during Covid-19. The vibe and energy in the room is radiating through the screen.
I want to see them live so bad! ❤️

I love this video, it always makes me feel good. The small area makes it feel so intimate and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves despite the cramped and heated metal box. I wish I was there for this one
randomytuser7 I wholeheartedly agree! Almost spiritual!
randomytuser7 the stage is a temple and the song is an altar.
WoW, the group is alive and on fire, listening to them and this song made me go out and touch the sky and feel the earth, massive
Such unbelievably unique music. I just love songs that tell stories, that invoke certain images in the mind. Their songs fall into this realm.
BEAUTIFUL
2 Voices in Harmony. Amazing ❤😊
I’m a little late to this video but they are BEST Band around. Love the sound. It’s harkens back to the time of storytelling. Can’t get enough❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love them. I love their quirkiness, their originality and their raw talent. I can't say exactly why, but they remind of Irish bands. Or Bands from Breton like Manou. Probably because they seem to be so unique. Amazing.
