My cousin who recently passed on..introduced me to this amazing band and I won’t ever forget it or him I was tripping on shrooms while listening to them for the first time it was amazing Rest up cousin Joel Ramirez forever in our hearts until we meet up again 🕊️🫶🏻”though the truth may vary this this, ships will carry our body’s safe to shore” 👏🏼👏🏼🫶🏻
Especially Nanna, whose accent is a mix of her native Icelandic/Scandinavian and Glaswegian (not sure where exactly that comes from, someone told me she lived there for a while)
So am I in 2024. One of the best ever bands. Hope they return live!!! From UK. Seen them twice, both really, really memorable gigs, especially Bristol O2 with my teen daughter, her first proper gig and she absolutely LOVED IT!
Reminds me of way back in 2017 or so when I went to my first pro football game and we listen to two of their greatest albums on our way to the game. :)
The early teens were a magical time for music - these guys, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Jonah and the Whale, all had a folk sound with occasional brass instruments. Gone too soon.
This video got me through covid. Four years after the lockdown and I go back to this viseo monthly. I saw it years ago on the shared family computer in the living room. The early 2010s were great times for discovering music! 🎶
In 2014 I traveled to the US with my son-in-law, we drove around the west for 4000km listening to MAM on the car radio. These songs bring back great memories.
Artists and audience enjoying that magic synergy that can happen when all are having a great time, simply brilliant and it must have been a privelige to be there.
Three great melodies. Two great voices. Horn Babe and Accordion Dude. Great chord changes. Focused. Having fun. Icelanders sweating for God's sake. OMAM is an international treasure.
I'm a hard rock, heavy metal guy through and through and i have to say, this band is amazing! Little Talks has been over played but the rest of my head is an animal is just pure brilliance!
This may be the best performance of Little Talks I've ever seen. It seemed to be one of those rare occasions where a band and their audience really connected. Combined with the obvious good humor and camaraderie of OMAM it made for a kind of performance magic.
Omg I just love this!! Their voices are like ONE when they sing its pure magic...and the audience!! Omg the audience is JUST AMAZING!! Makes me cry a little every time I watch the last song...so damn good!! Thank you making us FEEL something...true artists :)!!!
God, I just knew this song, Little Talks, and went in love with this band!!! That's one of the happiest songs and players ever!!! So good to listen to it!
My favorite version of "Dirty Paws". Love the trumpet....and the bass adds wonderful substance. Vocals compliment each other with an understated, ethereal beauty, at once soft and powerful.
I love them. I love their quirkiness, their originality and their raw talent. I can't say exactly why, but they remind of Irish bands. Or Bands from Breton like Manou. Probably because they seem to be so unique. Amazing.
Ahhhhh! I love these guys! They're so confident and chill while they jam. I always feel like I'm at a small private venue when I watch them. I can't wait to see them live!
I love this video, it always makes me feel good. The small area makes it feel so intimate and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves despite the cramped and heated metal box. I wish I was there for this one
I'm 56. When I was 18, I went off to college and discovered a band called REM. And then a band called U2. Then, a few years ago, I came upon a band called M83. And then I came upon a band called Sigur Ros. And today? A band called Of Monsters and Men. Good day indeed, ya know?
I'm 50 years old, and absolutely love this band, I wish the best for their future, and hope to hear more from them. Keep it real, you guys are the best!
***** Well I believe that it's Nanna's accent that is the reason for her distinctive singing style and, for example, on Mountain Sound the chorus has some wonderful Icelandic flavour that I think really adds to it. But that's just me : )
Completely agree. I think Nanna really does this band justice on many of their songs with the flavor she adds. Her voice, and the bands overall raw sound blends perfectly.
This is so excelent! I'm so facinated by this song and this band. Here, in Brazil, this kind of music is untypical, but in some places, like "irish pubs" we can find it. So happy!
Sounds so Magnificent! Great Acoustic Vibes! So glad they play live again. We had the honor to play live with them on a small festival at the Stadspodium in Rotterdam 29 august 2010. A long time ago. They were unknown with the big audience then. Yet you could hear it was only a matter of time for they would breakthrough. Still proud to have been together on stage with these wonderful and warm friendly musicians. Hopefully they will visit the Netherlands again.
What a great show in Pittsburgh PA on June 12th! I was a HUGE fan before and now I am a HUGE fan for life. Truly an amazing group of artists here - thank you for sharing your music with the world! I hope the best has yet to come!
Awesome band!!! Here's a few reasons: 1.) They seem to be a very happy group (especially Nanna...always smiling, even in the heat) 2.) They write their own songs 3.) Their live versions are just as good as their studio versions 4.) They use many different instruments, making them mesh extremely well 5.) Great voices! 6.) Nanna is hot! (which can be taken either way in this video)
Holy cow its been eleven years since.these songs were new...time flies in world full of war and lies.
Still Listening in 2021! Who's here?! Still HITS!
That would have been cool
Cool
The timbre of their voices together and the effect of their accents makes pure vocal magic.
you're right
Especially Nanna, whose accent is a mix of her native Icelandic/Scandinavian and Glaswegian (not sure where exactly that comes from, someone told me she lived there for a while)
unique and lovely sound
@@russhouldin5774 Little Talks is somewhat disturbing but otherwise yeah.

I never realized how much that trumpet really adds to this band until I watched this performance
watch Of Monsters And Men - Vive Latino 2016 from ~ 48 : 37
glimpse of flying beauty
@@a.c.9822 Thanks!
I love this version so much more than the official video.
It is an excellent version. But, my favorite is the set they did on SNL.
So am I in 2024. One of the best ever bands. Hope they return live!!! From UK. Seen them twice, both really, really memorable gigs, especially Bristol O2 with my teen daughter, her first proper gig and she absolutely LOVED IT!
Pure pleasure after finding this band
Can you believe this is nearly 10 years old - And I'm just now finding them! The internet IS a great thing...
Man I forgot how much I loved this band
Me too!
Reminds me of way back in 2017 or so when I went to my first pro football game and we listen to two of their greatest albums on our way to the game. :)
Oh no, forget not.
No fooling! They're all awesome.,
Still listening in 2024
Me too, love it
True that!

here I am..

The early teens were a magical time for music - these guys, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Jonah and the Whale, all had a folk sound with occasional brass instruments.
Gone too soon.
Alt-j remained
I love this style of music as well as classic rock music 60s to 90s
Couldn’t agree more 😩
Im stuck in rehab and this 3 track live performance is helping me through it.
This video got me through covid. Four years after the lockdown and I go back to this viseo monthly.
I saw it years ago on the shared family computer in the living room. The early 2010s were great times for discovering music! 🎶
Their icelandic accent blends so perfectly into the music.
I cant count how many times ive listen to this recording.
I love to listen to it in the bus or trin While whistlining the Tunes as loud as I can
I'll never understand thumbs down on a vid like this... great music, great band
In 2014 I traveled to the US with my son-in-law, we drove around the west for 4000km listening to MAM on the car radio. These songs bring back great memories.
This set never gets old. I’m so happy I was able to see OMAM live in concert in 2019 Oakland, CA.
Never seen ‘em live. But I am captivated by this show. Their energy, their expressions…. They look like folk rockers I’d be friends with.
💘💘🌟🌟🥳🥳
One of the best bands in a very long time, No fluff, No frills, Just pure and true talent, Some musicians have it, most don't.
I'm 69 years old, but go on loving you and your music.
Nice
I'm 77 years old and I heard it the first time a year ago! FANTASTIC😍
Everybody going nuts after that trumpet solo, that's the greatest thing ever :3
Artists and audience enjoying that magic synergy that can happen when all are having a great time, simply brilliant and it must have been a privelige to be there.
Three great melodies. Two great voices. Horn Babe and Accordion Dude. Great chord changes. Focused. Having fun. Icelanders sweating for God's sake. OMAM is an international treasure.
Horn Babe...l.o.l. But she sure is that!
Found this video few days ago, but it's on repeat from that day.
Ending is absolutely beautiful.
OMG the trumpet and accordion brought new life to the songs =) . So delightful for the ear. ;D
the crowd energy after the trumpet solo is so heartfelt had me in tears
The band has always been my favourite....but that audience needs a standing ovation!!
I still come back to this from time to time. The energy they had at this event was second to none!
I love how the trumpet player tears it up on the solo for Little Talks, and then gets all bashful when she hears the response. It's adorable.
11:18 awesome solo
well done..bravo
Thanks for pointing that out: great groove. Nice sound for sure. Be remiss if I didn't give kudos to other band members.
That was amazing 😍
Still sounds freaking awesome each time this old dragonfly comes back to listen ❤️
Amazing performance well done. Such a well written & arranged song. Excellent.
Still listening in 2020. You guys are what this pandemic needs! Love this performance n it calms me down after a stressful day
pandemic is a joke for most people. now it is starting over with another name.
The truth is that this performance was outstandingly good
They are so good live. Mad respect.
I'm a hard rock, heavy metal guy through and through and i have to say, this band is amazing! Little Talks has been over played but the rest of my head is an animal is just pure brilliance!
The is high on my list of favorite live band performances. Sounds amazing ☺️
0:00 Dirty Paws
4:45 Mountain Sound
9:00 Little Talks
I always play of monster's and men. All of that's available on RUclips.
I still come back to this particular video. It's just deep set in me.
OMAM is my happy place during Covid-19. The vibe and energy in the room is radiating through the screen.
I want to see them live so bad! ❤️
My number 1 post quarantine band to see live.
I hope you do. I saw them 12 times literally.
This may be the best performance of Little Talks I've ever seen. It seemed to be one of those rare occasions where a band and their audience really connected. Combined with the obvious good humor and camaraderie of OMAM it made for a kind of performance magic.
i really liked your coment. Me the same just right this moment.... what a good version.
Absolutely Agree the atmosphere was just amazing at the end
Totally agree
It’s been six long years. Have you made a final decision yet? You said it ‘may’ be. Well is it or not? The suspense has been brutal!😉🤣😂✌️
Omg I just love this!! Their voices are like ONE when they sing its pure magic...and the audience!! Omg the audience is JUST AMAZING!! Makes me cry a little every time I watch the last song...so damn good!! Thank you making us FEEL something...true artists :)!!!
the last song indeed!
Thank you very much. This makes me feel alive and happy again. Music truly does wonders.
Still listening in 2022. Love their music and collaborations that create beauty to listen to.
WoW, the group is alive and on fire, listening to them and this song made me go out and touch the sky and feel the earth, massive
I tear up every time I see this video, this was the first video I saw of them and instantly fell in love!
The vocals were so good here. The best live performance I've seen from them.
Love how the thumping at 12:08 shakes the camera; clearly they enjoyed as much as the crowd did :). Love always OMAM
Wow... such a wonderful organic moment
I’m a little late to this video but they are BEST Band around. Love the sound. It’s harkens back to the time of storytelling. Can’t get enough❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love them. I love their quirkiness, their originality and their raw talent. I can't say exactly why, but they remind of Irish bands. Or Bands from Breton like Manou. Probably because they seem to be so unique. Amazing.
Right on time! For me to see and wholeheartedly agree. 🥳 💖
@@alexiscardigan754 😁😁MEETOOOOO!
I can't find words for the perfect music this band makes. Deep to the soul
Thank god there are groups that actually use instruments nowadays!!!
fewer and fewer every day now
Not even fully sure why but I start weeping tears of joy throughout this performance.....
Ahhhhh! I love these guys! They're so confident and chill while they jam. I always feel like I'm at a small private venue when I watch them. I can't wait to see them live!
Such unbelievably unique music. I just love songs that tell stories, that invoke certain images in the mind. Their songs fall into this realm.
I love this video, it always makes me feel good. The small area makes it feel so intimate and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves despite the cramped and heated metal box. I wish I was there for this one
randomytuser7 I wholeheartedly agree! Almost spiritual!
randomytuser7 the stage is a temple and the song is an altar.
best live performance 🎵🎶
My 3 favorites songs of them in 1 acoustic performance that s too good to be true.. awesome video I love them
best rendition of "Little Talks" I can recall since I first discovered this amazing group....
I'm 56. When I was 18, I went off to college and discovered a band called REM. And then a band called U2. Then, a few years ago, I came upon a band called M83. And then I came upon a band called Sigur Ros. And today? A band called Of Monsters and Men. Good day indeed, ya know?
I am on the same journey bro. 52. REM and U2 fan. Love M83, Sigur Ros, and Monsters. Seen them all but M83 live!
Dave Henry did you ever live in Calgary?
I'm about a decade earlier, but I love U2 and REM. I'll have to check out the others. Of course we all ended up in the same place with good music. :)
I'm 61 and on the same journey! OMAM is my favorite band at this time. I love a lot of music... but having a blast with OMAM
Hey man if you like M83, you might like the band Rüfus du sol
they sound so good live
I would go crazy if I was that close to them
And me!!!!
And me
Meeeee!! Toooo!!!!! XD
Same here. I’d die happy.
I would ask for an autograph and take a selfi and finally ask for another signature on my violin Hehe I wish I was there too *sight*
Such a precious sweet spirited band, love them.
This is gold. Thank you for sharing with us.
Hugs from Brazil.
Superb for 2023. Thank you!
2020 and this band makes feel the same

Why do I never get to see things like this live? Such a talented group
i just happened to come across this vid on YT and wow. so so so cool. will definitely go looking for more of their songs!
I'm 50 years old, and absolutely love this band, I wish the best for their future, and hope to hear more from them. Keep it real, you guys are the best!
65 here. I feel the same.
Moved to Colorado in 2012 and discovered their music about the same time. What a magical experience. ❤❤
I think that if an English band had a go at these songs, they wouldn't sound half as good. That Icelandic tinge just makes it sound so much better
Im from Czech Republic and english is not my native language. Can you explaint it? :D I don't hear any tinge :-)
***** Well I believe that it's Nanna's accent that is the reason for her distinctive singing style and, for example, on Mountain Sound the chorus has some wonderful Icelandic flavour that I think really adds to it. But that's just me : )
Thats you mean :-)
Completely agree. I think Nanna really does this band justice on many of their songs with the flavor she adds. Her voice, and the bands overall raw sound blends perfectly.
How is that mean I agree we are different that is all there is to it.
Pretty much listen to this everyday. Enjoy it every time. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talents.

I'm from Brazil. I just love all. His voices, songs, melody. Love all.
É nóis 👍🏻
My first time hearing this group. What a great sound. What a great style. Hey!
Awesome trumpet solo in Little Talks! :)
They're so positive and so happy to play for their fans, this is absolutely wonderful! I couldn't stop smiling the whole time :))
Their music will never go away. Nanna's voice makes my whole body melt. Love them forever .
2 Voices in Harmony. Amazing ❤😊

They are soooo AMAZING!!!! They need more songs out ASAP!!! I'm in love with this band!
Dirty Paws sounds like a lullaby to sing to a child and one of my fave songs
They are like little nordic ice cubes melting into beautiful music
Outstanding. The vocals the guitars the brass great!!
I love how Nanna and Florence both refer to that place as the hot box hahaha
What a gem of a video, made my day. Thank you👍
I absolutely love this band

This was as fun to watch and listen to as it was for them. It's good to see them happy, because we love them.
