  • @guillermovides9893
    @guillermovides9893 11 месяцев назад +11

    On the guitars displayed, third place Gibson, no doubt, the other 2 sound way way better....
    Now between Martin and Taylor it is hard to decide because they are 2 different desserts that taste so good and they are so different for hearing.
    Martin sounds more balanced between low and high string notes, it feels like a perfect harmony between the strings, no string competing with another one to stand out among them, like perfect team work. It sounds like it has been set up in a console by a knowledged technician. That guitar sounds as it was a mastered recording and for that it is so pleasant to hear. The guitar sounds like a studio recording by itself. Covers well performed on that guitar would feel as it is the actual song recorded in the studio.
    And on the other hand Taylor sounds more real in a way that it sounds beautifully more natural and rustic, unregulated balance between the strings stress but with a powerful and beautiful bright sound that it feels way more natural, beautifully unpredictable, you feel how the music is getting born from the wood in the palm of your hands with no measurer device, letting the sound come out as it wants to in a beautiful and powerful sound. When you hear Taylor sound it feels that there is someone real playing a guitar in front of you. This guitar sounds like it has more vitality. And this is also pleasant to hear and you feel passionate as you play or listen to this guitar.
    These 2 aspects for me are the reason what makes it hard to decide which flavor tastes better.
    With Martin you get a guitar that sounds as an studio and with Taylor you get a guitar with more vitality that feels more natural.
    If at the end I would have to choose one, I would go for just a little bit, little bit more with Taylor and the vitality of natural sound you feel when playing or listening to that guitar.

    Been trying to choose between a Taylor or a Martin for my next acoustic. I have a Big Baby Taylor and have had it for a long time, for a low end Taylor, it plays well and sounds great. Next one will be above low end, because I want something better. I think my attraction with a Martin is more the historical significance their guitars have made in music for many, many years. Taylors have more of the sound that I prefer. I've never played a Gibson acoustic, but they do sound great, I would love to try one, but nobody has them in the guitar shops near me, it's mostly Martin and Taylor. Honestly I would take one of each, because we all know, there's no such thing as owning too many guitars.
