Pam is beautiful, but Sissy has that "southern grace". Its a wonderful portrait of the country western lifestyle of the time and I don't think anyone could have pulled it off better than Debra Winger and John Travolta.
You want your laugh? When they were casting for the movie, many said that the "Italian NY boy from Saturday Night Fever" could NEVER play that role. Boy, they were off on that one.

I was about 10 and this ideal was presented to us kids: Drink, be promiscuous, fight, and be immature. I am so glad this is not the way I am as an adult. John does a great job of portraying this though.
The way John pokes his head forward and clenches his jaw is off the charts. It is so incredibly realistic and shows the level of immaturity this film portrays. I love it.
Urban Cowboy was the kinda movie which would draw your old memories and aches your heart. Mickey Gilley whom just passed away sometime this year, sang this song with that sadness emotional tone. Great song great singer. As for the characters in this movie, Bud was kinda childish but didn’t hide his likes or hates, Sissy was temperamental and that made guys wanted to luv her more. Last but not least, Pam’s beauty was plainly inarguable, guess very few guys could resist that temptation of getting close to her.
I was a night club DJ in the early 90’s, and continue to work as a mobile DJ. Songs from this soundtrack continue to bring people to the floor. The club in which I worked, which is also in Texas, held 820 people at maximum occupancy. It was such a fun job. Music has always brought people together.

margaret No she's not and Travolta was dumb as hell going back with her. Pam was fuckin' gorgeous with class.
I love this song. Scott Glenn played the best antagonist in this movie, enjoy him in all of his roles especially “A Few Good Men” and “Silence of the Lambs”. He’s a great actor, very handsome & masculine.
That was a definite upgrade for Travolta
This scene is so amazing....the humor and ridiculousness mixed with the tragedy without being totally campy....a credit to the director and actors. Love it.
One of my all time favorite movies!!! This was back when actors didn’t take themselves SO seriously!!! They do not make them like this anymore! Every performance was flawless!!! 👏👏👏
Hello Lynda
That's because movie are made in computers now a days liberal control shit
@Roy Wertz 😅😃 Thank you!!
Phenomenal movie with a phenomenal soundtrack... A+ is what I give this one... 🏇
My favorite line at the end of the movie “I want to apologize clear back to the first time I hit you” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good. Honest. Necessary. Not sure that’s funny tho.
Girl mine too
@@scottlevine7646 Yet I doubt you would say that if a woman hit a man.
It takes a man to say the words n mean them bcuz they can't not lose them again. Country
Pam: "Hey Cowboy, you're not doing this just to make your wife jealous are you?"
Bud: "Ya"
😁 Priceless ❤️
This was a great time to experience. I lived the Bar n club life. Sometimes it was pop, rock, but mostly country. Country clubs erre different. The people were different. Wish i had drove out to Texas and spent a weekend at Gilleys. Opportunity lost.
Happy birthday Mickey gilley sure enjoy your classics
Omygoodness ..this was our place to head every weekend. This brings back some great memories Gilley's will forever be the number 1 country club in the world No club could ever come close. My friend was an extra in this movie. I couldn't take off of work for the tryouts. But SOOO much fun there. Ive been to that pkace she calls "uptown". Damn getting old.

I freakin’ LOVE this movie. Debra Winger is so damn beautiful!!!! And this scene is just so damn cool!!!!!
I am 46 and I’ve seen this movie several hundred times . I love the great country music in this movie. It really feels real like ur right there with them. 😢
Hello Amanda 👋 how are you?
Hands down best movie ever made. ☺ its perfect from beginning to end. Greatest line in a movie ever uttered " my legs are sweatin momma"
One of the best scenes of all time, this had me in tears at age 8, and still gives me chills
One of my favorite love stories! This is a classic!
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. They are both stubborn and make so many bad choices, but end up together. The music is GREAT and the acting amazing. 10 stars!
Hi
Awesome movie and soundtrack. They don't make them like they used to.

Brings back memories of my brother when he was in love with country music and him and his wife loved to dance to it.
Fantastic actor Scott Glenn
I gotta look for this movie, I love this movie. I can watch it over and over.
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. Hello
Love this song and movie too❤ bud, sissy forever
Pam is beautiful, but Sissy has that "southern grace". Its a wonderful portrait of the country western lifestyle of the time and I don't think anyone could have pulled it off better than Debra Winger and John Travolta.
You want your laugh? When they were casting for the movie, many said that the "Italian NY boy from Saturday Night Fever" could NEVER play that role. Boy, they were off on that one.
Ken Collins
Southern grace and country western......two totally different styles.
Pam has goat tits Sissy beat by a mile.
Ken Collins ù
Ken Collins hhh
yeahhhhhh.... but I LIVED IT... LOL
My favorite movie of all time. I can nearly quote it word for word start to finish.
❤i love this song ❤ I will never forget this movie ❤ It brings back Memories ❤
Mickey Gilley really made a great song greater....if only for a single movie....top notch singing, back up vocals, and damn that slide guitar.
When John Travolta was so handsome and Debra Winger was so beautiful. Darn good movie and this song is so spectacular. Everything and everyone was so okay cool 🤙🏻 I miss those years tremendously ✨💫7
AWE LOVE THIS MOVIE AND THE SONGS AND BIG BIG HUG’S AND BLESSINGS.😊
Hello Patricia 👋 Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
I love the look on John Travolta's face as he is dancing . Lol
I agree. I noticed the same thing.....great actor! He was kind of hunched over at a point while he is dancing...really acted out the emotions of jealousy and anger very well.
*He dances in every damn movie*
@@SUGAR_XYLER yes and the ladies love it !!!! I love me some Travolta Time..this is my all time favorite movie. I even have the movie poster framed and hanging in my loft. I've had the movie poster for over 20 yrs.
That's the way it was.... And it should still be that way!!!
I bet a lot of people don’t realize how realistic the movie really was. The beer, the dancing, the romance, and the fights! Good times back then!
Sad day he passed away today . Thanks for the wonderful song Mickey.
Hi Jeannine💐💐
This was my Aunt’s dance song at her first wedding. She’s been remarried for 15 years and still cries when she hears this song..
This is one of the first movies I watched as a kid. Such fond memories.
RIP MICKEY GILLEY GREAT OLD COUNTRY SONG STAND BY ME
There's a lump in my throat and I can hear my heart breaking as I watch them dance. Love is a crazy thing.
this is one of my favorite songs on urban cowboy I seen this movie over 9900000000000000000000000 times one of my favorite movies
Lmao me too
One of my favorite movies too!😁
Mine too 😍
Scott Glenn is a excellant actor and very good looking 🙋
It did not shock me when I found out actor Scott Glenn was in the Marine Corps.
Anyone else watching in 2020? I was 16 when this movie came out. Loved it then and appreciate it even more now. It’s one of those movies you can go back to again and again and find comfort. Like reconnecting with an old friend. ❤️
I was about 10 and this ideal was presented to us kids: Drink, be promiscuous, fight, and be immature. I am so glad this is not the way I am as an adult. John does a great job of portraying this though.
Scott Glenn was really good in Urban Cowboy! Underrated Actor
He was 🔥
One of the best cover of stand by me...micky G. Great job 👍
Rest in Peace Mickey Gilley. Thanks for the music.
One of my favorite movies & the soundtrack doesn't hurt. Wes Hightower is one of my favorite bad guys. The part was played to perfection.
the way Scott Glynn aka Wes chews on that worm from the Tequila bottle gross!
this movie is my favorite I have it on DVD and I have the CD
how many times did u see this movie
+Jason Yerian Over the years, I'm unsure. I don't own the DVD or anything, but anytime I have caught it on TV I've watched it.
I am about to see this movie tonight
I like Country Miusic. and I like this movie. 👍
thanks for the music Mickey and thanks for helping to make a classic movie like urban cowboy
you'll be missed Mickey gilley
Great scene to a great tune
The way John pokes his head forward and clenches his jaw is off the charts. It is so incredibly realistic and shows the level of immaturity this film portrays. I love it.
He was belligerent. When he got so amorous with Pam, she wondered what was going on behind her.
Last but not least, Pam’s beauty was plainly inarguable, guess very few guys could resist that temptation of getting close to her.
yes,I could never have resisted Pam,so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@orkman49 Absolutely! If I were Bud, my conscience would ask me not to but my desire would have probably driven me to take a shot😄
I am so glad the past is over. To see this shows me the immaturity and promiscuity that was glorified to us kids. Wow!
I was a night club DJ in the early 90’s, and continue to work as a mobile DJ. Songs from this soundtrack continue to bring people to the floor. The club in which I worked, which is also in Texas, held 820 people at maximum occupancy. It was such a fun job. Music has always brought people together.
Just seen Mr. Jonny Lee tonight at the Preble co. Fair. He sure is a ledge. He's 76 and has it. Love him
Hi Hallie💐💐
I adore this movie-the music is so amazing, and the acting is next to flawless. Sissy and Bud forever!!
Madolyn Smith is perfection
Stand by me, no I won't be afraid,no shed a tear,as long you stand by me ❤❤
I was a dance instructor. Taught many line dances, East, west coast swing, 2-step, Sweetheart schottische. We used to do a dance called the sway to this song. I'm 77 now and still do some dancing.
