Tom,always a great 👍 pleasure watching you and the crew get together and get the job done ✅ and done ✅ right 😮😊❤
Thanks 👍
Tom
My favorite saying is 10 minutes early is 5 minutes late. That is what I always tell my guys. Learned that at a young age.
Man you guys get a lot done in a day
Looks like a great welder Tom. The pattern, in which you made different ones, looks like the hold down for the Mag float handles.
Good guess but no, they are for splash guards on our buggies
Tom, almost 60 thousand.... lets go
I know getting close thanks
See you have the same weather people as we do Tom in uk they always lies 😂😂🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍
The left over piece of metal is from making brackets to hold the carpet section which creates anti-splatter shield on the concrete/stone buggies!
Correct
GOOOOOOD
MAAAAAAAAWNIN YINZ GUYZ!!…Nice review Tom. I really want to learn how to weld. Nice jobs! Love the wood plank stamp.
Catch yinz on the next one
Have a day!!
Thanks, and you have a weekend
I feel like I'm the Jim Carrey of construction.
That scrap is from the brackets for the splashguards on the buggies
Correct
I have a Hobart welder and when I replace the wire i always remove the tip. As i feed the wire through i keep the mig gun and the hose that it travels as straight as possible, then when it comes out I put the tip on. I also adjust the tension from inside the welder where the wire goes through. I use flux core but it's a little messy. I put a better ground clamp on my welder that has more copper inside. I bought a new plasma cutter from Yes welder and they forgot the clear hose so i emailed them and they refunded me the price of the hose but it was pretty hard to find the correct one that would work. Most places don't sell the hose in short pieces and have to buy already bundled up in 25 foot piece. Remember with flux core you drag not push
Thanks for the advice. I am not familiar with fluxcore.
That piece is off the splash guard on the buggys
Nice review on the Yeswelder Tom. Looks like a nice little addition for any application in home workshop. I love the end caps on the plank stamping, so cool looking. I believe that little bracket is for the sides of your buggies to hold the carpet to stop splashing the concrete?
Yes, correct thank you for watching and remembering
Nice looking welder.I have a miller, and mostly do flux core - but the settings are manual based on a chart. Most of what I do is just functionally sticking 2 pieces of metal together and flux core is the ticket.
Do you get that kind of splatter as well?
@@Concretewiththehauses try some better quality wire - Miller or Hobart have worked well for me and anti-spatter gel helps some. You will always get more splatter than gas.
Nice machine Tom, spray anti spatter on your steel before welding that's how I use to do it.
I tried that also, but there was a lot of splatter
@@Concretewiththehauses Make her sound like eggs frying, a real good wire I found that worked was a Hobart 71 Elite wire I believe that's what it was called can be used for dirty or clean steel
Very interesting video. I've not welded since high school. Watching you today made me wish I could weld some. It's such a small welder! Very cool. You are a very good welder. It would have to rain, huh. At least you weren't in a lot of mud, and it wasn't a downpour. I was just watching some videos of our wonderful NC mountains. It figures that FEMA is missing everyone off. We have an abundance of good Christian neighbors up there helping, and the government, as always, is hurting more than helping. WTH! Is everything government Satanic now? Just go away and let NC take care of NC!! I just can't believe what I'm seeing!! I felt so much better when I came to your video. How nice and refreshing, such a pleasure to watch you guys creating beautiful additions to homes, bringing joy and pride. Thank you for sharing!👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thank you so much. Have a great weekend Keith.
That cutout is leftover from making the hangers for the flap on the buggies
Crawl space finish.
Bet you iron your underwear! 😅
New Work truck outside hanger brackets.
The metals from your cement buggy brackets that you hang the carpet mats on butch from route eight
Tom, flux core requires electrode negative or straight polarity (DCEN) it looked like you had it set up for hard wire mig which is electrode positive, or reverse polarity (DCEP) That could be why you got so much spatter. Try reversing the polarity and see how it does. I predict it will do mush better with flux core on DCEN.
I thought I set it correctly, picking the flux core setting if I get a chance, I can look into that more and follow up. Thank you for the advice.
@@Concretewiththehauses you may have set the machine for flux core but plug the ground/work clamp lead into the positive + and the MiG wire lead into the negative receptacle for flux core. Opposite for MiG and most stick.
Tom since the flux core didn't go so well why not try the stick weld setting & see if that does any better. Seems like a pretty decent machine with technology built into it.
Next round with it, I will add gas and check out that weld
consider reversing the polarity when using flux core wire.
The machine automatically did that
Hey nice job on the cover, I like the color.
I need some guidance...I'm about to go over my garage, existing concrete (good base) just badly done. What is minimum thickness, and do I need weldcrete?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍
Sorry, I have only done two overlays. I am definitely not the one to ask.
Tom buy a half round course file and put an edge on the end. Better than a slag chipper. With tge edge you can pop those BBs right off.
Nice idea
Plastic concrete chairs are best
One can't ever depend on the weather guessers 😂 it must be nice to get paid for being wrong most of the time 😂 🤑 😂
Hanger bracket for your buggy and apron.
JUst watched a video about this, and the guy said too much splatter with flux core wire alot of times is caused by the wrong polarity in the welder wiring. Inside the cover where the wire is, he showed where the wires can be switched. Worth a look. Another reason is to much lead out wire.....he suggested no more than 1/2 - 3/4".
Hey Tom I’m curious if the slab is for moisture and radon barrier why not put down plastic too. Thanks
The plastic helps with the moisture and the radon
Damaged gate / fence top repair.
Vince Lombardi's rule was you MUST be 15 minutes EARLY!!
For some reason the only way I can comment is through another persons replies. Could be on my side operator error yet it only happens with your channel. P.S. nice welder
I like it

How do you determine how much color to add to the concrete?
It is all weighed out, so the recipes are the same
Would the anti spatter spray help??
I tried it. I still got a lot of spatter.
I just picked up a bottle of gas for it. I’m going to try that as well.
bracket for buggies hopper covers
Correct
My question is this: How many of them welders did they give you for losing so many concrete viewers (those who watch to see cement being poured and finished)?
It is a very nice welder
Spatter, not splatter. I seriously doubt that machine has a duty cycle, that is long enough, to make the feed lock feature (T4) practical.
I have not used the T4 yet. My world have been small.
In the army its actually 5 minutes before the time stated, if you weren't there at 5 minutes before, we would be charged for being late, even 50 years I still have the same time, possibly 10 minutes just in case, 😊😊😊.
6:16 what is that thing doing? Say that again?
i don't mean to complain but i don't like when the camera is on your head makes me dizzy i do like your content and information you give i know it is probably a pain setting and moving cameras but it makes a better video to me p.s. i 'm not going to stop watching anyway thanks for all you do
As always, thanks for watching just trying to get the camera close. Try not to use it very much.
I'm sure Tom would appreciate you showing up to the jobsite and taking over. Look forward to seeing your work😊😊
Dude you need to clean up your shop!!!
All welding vlogs, need to put dark lenses on the camera 🎥 when showing welding, please be the first to get DARK glass shields in fron /on camera 🎥 lens ok, thanks , because with out anything Dark on the camera,,the peoples eyes will get ARC burned eyes ok ,,it’s a fact, true , please be the first one to utilize a dark screen on the camera to show the welding ARC ,ok be the first, you go in after this ,and you watch the welding on your screen with out anything ,and when your eyes fill like they have sand in them, ,,you have begun to burn your eyes,,, ok thanks BigAl California
