Good question! If it is lead paint then I know that should not sand the paint at all. It has to be chemically striped and I'm extra careful to not Breathe it in.

You use the same techniques on wood veneer. Just be extra careful to not sand through the veneer.

If you use Klingspor 24 grit sandpaper for belt sanders, the paint will be gone in a few minutes

yes, but would you use that on door frames for instance?

I would use it on any flat surface, where my belt sander would fit. Only on solid wood, not on plywood or veneer
