As someone who vehemently defends free speech and jokes, ethans statements werent a joke, he just said something bad. Its not even a matter of me not personally finding the joke funny there was just NO JOKE from the stand point of how a jokes are structured. No build up or punchline. I've gotten bottle service but not at a club that assigns the female employees or super super high class clubs. It usually costs about a few hundred and you split it so it's actually not bad. I would genuinely recommend doing it if you were planning a club event with a group. You get your own table all night that you can leave your stuff at no one else is allowed up there and they just bring you bottles of vodka all night unlimited and mix. It's way better than getting individual bar drinks that you legit will probably spend more on and have to wait for

He made a very edgy provocative remark, but probably wasn't serious about it. But he wouldn't be as charitable towards other people who did something similar, so I have very little sympathy for him.

I was mostly trying to talk about the difference between a haha joke or a joke used for humour, vs a joke also referring to a statement that is not meant to be taken serious/at face value. The latter usage of the word joke doesn't have to be used with the purpose of making people laugh, which a lot of people think of when the word joke is used. It could refer to making flippant or facetious remarks.
If I don't know someone I'll try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But as I said above, my post was mostly in relation to how the word joke could be used in this situation.

To my knowledge you cannot buy a gun out of state without it being transferred to a FFL in your home state which then is subject to all laws unique to that state.
But that's second hand knowledge, I've never tried to buy a gun anywhere but my home state.
