Most answered the man was away all the time at work.....what a quality of life! :) I know dudes who are gone out on jobs as software/program engineers for a conveyer company. The only time they are home is around federal holidays or after being on the job for 8 or 9 weeks and get 1 week off then turn around and do it again, made bank but had not personal lives.....although there was one guy on the job who did Facebook dating and went after cougars and maybe gifls (women who are in there 40's-50's) whenever he would be at a job site for awhile. Only benefit those guys have is they get to travel the country and the money they make since they will work 7ish days a week and are making mid 20- low 30 and hour.

@@tchoythao1730 I think it comes down to personality, my grandpa was a brick layer for the construction/house industry then he couldn't work as cheap as those were paying due to cheap labor so he switched to glass furnaces. My grandpa liked how much he got to see the US and then Mexico, South Africa and Saudi Arabi. I don't think i'd enjoy it as much as he did cause he drove ALOT.

You just don't notice them because you don't look for them. I mean, that is reasonable, unless you are a trust fund baby, you will need a partner who can make 6 figures at 30-35, and you'll need to match that either directly or by coupling a decent salary with good benefits for the family (medical, dental, etc), and of course child care is an asset that either a woman or a man can bring if they aren't making enough to match but society shames men for it a lot more which makes no sense whatsoever. Raising children is expensive these days, 1 kid will cost you 1-2 million over 18 years.

Raising children has always been a big financial burden relative to basic living conditions (since it's essentially multiplying them), but it isn't really increasing at all. Just rich people are paying more due to all the premium/luxury goods and services being offered to parents.
A single earner couple earning median wage can easily support children as long as one is being wise with spending. People just have really high -or even absurd- standards, and don't care about spending a bunch of money on stuff like automobiles, clothing, fancy coffee, and avocados.

It’s nice to have things for yourself and to be able to have a little bit of luxury which could mean vacationing somewhere once a year or even being able to buy “pointless” things for yourself occasionally. For me personally, the biggest thing that’s made me pretty much give up on dating, at least for a while, is the fact that I’ve encountered so many girls that will start making demands or start having some pretty ridiculous expectations as soon as they meet me, but then at the same time they will treat you like they owe you absolutely nothing in return. It’s the most wild shit to me in the world.
I’ve been on quite a few dates where I feel like I’m doing everything I can to be interesting and courteous and try to make sure that we have a good time, but the girl is just so fucking boring and gives me absolutely nothing. They’re just so void of personality and has nothing to add to any conversation.
And the kicker is that it never seems to really matter very much if the first date goes well or not on if they just ghost you. I’ve been on so many dates that I feel like went well and we had a pretty decent time, but then within a couple days I’ll never hear from them again. If you play that out enough times it just feels like “what the fuck is even the point of caring? Why should I put in any amount of effort at all if I never receive any of it back?”. It’s a feeling that can make you feel more worthless than any other and something women honestly can’t understand.
If I were any less chill than I am or any dumber, I’d probably have fallen down the incel rabbit hole, but thankfully I’m able to brush things off most of the time and able to keep a level head about things. I start to re-examine what I wanted out of dating or a partner for that matter and have decided that I’ll just focus on myself and school for now and let things play out as they will, but I’m done putting in the absurd amount of time and effort that seems to be expected in the dating market. If I meet someone then great, but I’m not doing the dating circuit shit anymore.

U can’t rly get to know a person via texting, and esp if u are a fun person to text but end up being different or boring in person, most girls don’t rly like that. I’d say focus on ur hobbies, fitness, and confidence. Do activities that allow u to meet new ppl and ask ppl on dates after u determine that u got a good chemistry with them.

The fact of the matter is that women tend to have a lot more options than men. Esp during the casual dating phase of a relationship (before u establish that things are exclusive), lotta girls have multiple guys they’re texting/going out with until u can be attractive and interesting enough to her that she wants to be exclusive to u and will ignore other male attention. The same obviously applies for men too, but again since women tend have a lot more options, this phase of the relationship just tends to be more advantageous for women.
You’re saying that even if ur not that fun/interesting/attractive, a women should put in more effort into the date, even when she has several diff more fun men as options that she could go out w instead. Why would she put in all that effort when there are better options for her and you’re boring? This ultra feminist world where men and women play the exact same role in a relationship is something 90% of women do not want. And the remaining 10% of women who are interested in taking a more active/dominant role in the beginning of a relationship often times prefer to date other women lmfao.
Now obviously, it is possible to find a women that is extremely into u and will put in a ton of effort in the casual dating phase to also keep u interested. But that will not be the majority of women, and finding a girl like that is what I mean when I say “finding the right woman”. Also, the chance of finding a woman who has those feelings towards u increases significantly if u are physically attractive and are a very fun/interesting person.
And keep in mind that all of what I’m saying only applies to the casual dating phase. Once u are exclusively dating and u know that u are a significant person in her life, then the dynamics of a relationship will change a lot. She’ll do a lot more for u and your approval will be a lot more important to her.

I genuinely feel sorry for guys in the dating scene these days. I've never heavily went in to the dating scene. I hooked up with people in my early adulthood pretty easily luckily due to my looks and what I hope was some charisma but I never sought out any sort of relationship and when I eventually did it worked out for me and I'm still with that person to this day, hoping it lasts forever. That said, if my relationship failed I genuinely don't know what I'd do if I was forced in to the dating scene with these crazy standards from women that don't even meet the half way mark of what they'd expect of me in order to be considered a catch.
Like, I genuinely get the Andrew Tate stuff now. Granted, not all of it is legit but a good portion of it seems to be. Sure we can argue that these women may be hand picked but I've seen so many clips of women like this on Facebook clips and the comments, which aren't cherrypicked, are FULL of women agreeing with the women in the clips, and unapologetically so. Meanwhile when I see men talking about what they want in a woman so many of them just seem to want a chance, not overweight, can have fun with, and isn't combative and that's about it.
There's none of this, "Oh well she better earn x amount, and she better be this tall, and she better have a good job, and a hobby that's active and has some form of status rather than simply being something she enjoys", and yada-yada.
Like, man. I just feel so sorry for guys nowadays. They just want to find love and this is what they're up against that they have to go down the path of some sort of dating warfare just to get it, meanwhile they're not expecting so much from the women that expect so much of them.
My partner and I are going to be trying for children soon, and I can't wait. I used to think about how worried I'd be having a daughter because of the things girls can be at risk of but seeing how women speak about their wants in men it makes me worry about what my future potential son will go through just to have a chance of happiness. reminds me of the funniest experiences i've had with women and video games. i've been in situations with multiple women who've (correctly) given me a sort of condescending side-eye when they find out i play video games, because if you don't play them i think you have this idea of like, bros playing CoD in a frat house or something (aka: perfectly normal people doing a perfectly normal recreational activity). however, when they saw me actually play video games, it seemed like a switch flipped because i basically only play like Paradox games, KSP, WINSPBMT, MSFS, etc, and i got the impression they were like "oh, this looks complicated, he must be smart!" instead of the correct impression which would have been "holy shit this guy's a turbo nerd, get me a normal CoD player STAT"
It's also silly that video games are treated differently from reading [fiction] or watching movies or series, or playing sports or board games. People who read fiction somehow think they are superior, which bothers me because if anything it's the other way around due to video games being interactive rather than passive/mindless.
I think its funny that they will look down on video games then claim they want financial security, yet one of the most common female hobbies is literally shopping for clothes.

Like, I *do* have the “drive” to advance in my career, but they don’t even make it seem like a possibility* to just be happy where you are. It’s not enough to them for a man to make a decent living and just be content keeping their job position and salary. Or what about the people who are genuinely down to earth and go into a career because they genuinely care about the work they do, no matter the pay? Like teachers, nurses, a forest ranger, running a non profit or soup kitchen, etc. I understand not wanting to live paycheck to paycheck, but it seems like to them, if you’re the slightest bit close to that then you’re just not worth it. They’d rather be with somebody with less character, but more money.
I can kinda get the idea of wanting someone with a level of drive, but I try and expand that to beyond a career sense. Like if I have a partner who has a mediocre job they don't care about, but has a hobby or interest they are passionate about, that is plenty good enough for me. Having it centered around just having career ambition just seems like you miss out on a lot of the actual, worthwhile people out there.
