coming from the perspective of someone who doesn't engage in much if any politics at all, I find that most of what I see can be summed up as a reality TV show and people are just voting for their favorite character. I think if we want any real change, we have to start holding the electors accountable for their actions, good or bad! I am not a fan of crypto as much as I am a fan of Blockchain Technology. In my opinion the best way to keep an honest political environment is to have some sort of Blockchain integrated in almost every aspect of politics, and implemented in a way that makes it easy for the average person to digest. We seem to be better at analyzing sports players and their stats then we are political figures. With the implementation of Blockchain this should allow us to better visualize what is happening in real time and add a level of transparency we don't normally (lets be honest NEVER) see in the current political climate. We should be using the blockchain as an easy to view stats record of everything the elector has done or is planning to do with progress features built in. This will make it a lot easier when it comes to voting for the right candidate and eliminate the whole Republican vs Democrat situation we have going on right now. There should also be voting built in as well that allows Americans to vote in real time based on electors goals and future plans. Also the way we stop counterfeit voting is every vote is visible to the public with basic information of each voter. There is no reason politics should feel shady or feel like there is no winning side. I think the way we view politics as a society has shifted in a way that has fundamentally changed for the worse. We as citizens are merely spectators watching events unfold and left with the feeling that there is nothing we can do because voting doesn't even seem to matter due to a corrupt system. We live in a world that is ran by technology yet we use almost none it to structure an honest and most important aspect of our society. We need something like blockchain to create an honest and easily digestible view of the political world that society can all agree on without a shadow of a doubt. I don't expect this to happen with any of our current electors however I feel like its something that can happen in the next generation of candidates.
So let get this straight... You admittedly know nothing of politics, yet think you have the solution and it's Blockchain... You crypto people have no shame anymore do you? You are aware we can look up bills, how people voted and who even showed up to vote right? This is all available to the public and has been on the internet for your viewing pleasure since the fucking 90's. You don't have to shoehorn in Blockchain into everything. As for voting Blockchain, when even crypto bros can't even manage to hang onto their keys because they lost them, and or get hacked you think the generic populace can? You also don't see how this makes buying and validating the purchase of votes really fucking easy? How is it that so many people that couldn't for a second begin to explain how "Blockchain" tech works seem to want to promote it for everything? The one and only time I have ever seen someone propose a good solution using Blockchain tech is a patent system. However the only benefit it confers over the existing patent system is universal and ideally inexpensive. Yet still had issues regarding the "is this patentable" and "does this conflict or is equivalent with existing patents" problem.
@@Segphalt Thanks for commenting. As condescending as it was to hear.. It is true I don't engage in politics but its honestly a choice because i find the alternative almost entirely mute. Especially when it comes to trying to explain yourself or solutions to someone like you. I think its fair to have negative opinions about crypto and blockchain technologies based on the evidence that has come to light especially when you consider the whole FXT situation with Sam Bankman. However the fundamental building blocks for Blockchain technology is what we need to really focus on. I don't even like crypto I think it has caused more problems than anything so no im not a "Crypto Person". But the architecture crypto is built upon has real value. I am not saying we need to go with the current existing iteration of Blockchain but i believe the foundation of some sort of Blockchain technology is viable. I am not trying to "Shoehorn" anything. It feel like you took my comment and picked out the keywords blockchain and crypto and created a false identity of someone you don't even know. I get it.. its easy to just put someone in a category based on a few words someone says. But try and have a little more common sense. I guess what im trying to say is.. I don't have to know politics to know that the systems we have now are complete garbage. I also believe that my "solution" is justifiable. However I don't see how wanting to create a more honest and transparent political environment is a bad thing or that anyone would want to argue that fact. Maybe you can even agree with me on that and maybe your just more upset that I chose Blockchain as the solution. Either way I wish you the best in life and hope you can reframe from judging people so quickly as this type of behavior is indicative of current systemic toxicity that populates our society today.
@@dotexe3426 You are likely right that your Blockchain commentary likely tipped something of if in me that I can't stand and I think alot of it has to do with you seeming just like anyone else mention blockchain tech. Which is a failure to indicate what issues it addresses, you are just enamored with the idea of transparency and a public ledger. We have transparency on how our legislature votes already. But stuff like "shady backroom meeting with oil Barron" doesn't show up on our existing system, but it also wouldn't show up on a Blockchain one either. So I'll admit, I was unnecessarily hostile in your direction with my first response. I am inclined to agree with you that our existing system has problems. Where you have failed for me is the inability to articulate how you think Blockchain addresses any existing issues with the system. While also admitting you know little to nothing about the current system. Until you do that you come off as any other crypto bro that write a long winded post with buzzword seemingly having no idea how said buzzword functions. So you have one mission if you want other people to take you seriously on this front, explain what problem in the current system it would solve. That's step one.
@@Segphalt I think I made it pretty clear what problems Blockchain would solve. Transparency and a public ledger is immensely important and ultimately the entire reason "Blockchains" exists, I didn't think it needed much more explaining. But if you insist, these are the reasons I believe a system like blockchain can address these problems. The main reason I lean so heavily on this type of system is because it starts to give the Americans a bit more moderation when it comes to how information is received. For example: A blockchain-based system can both verify the identity of a content creator and track their reputation for accuracy, essentially eliminating the need for centralized institutions like modern media outlets. This alone has a ton of potential in fighting misinformation, however I am aware it won't diminish it entirely. Another example: A blockchain-based system can directly address procurement’s corruption risk factors by allowing oversight of tamper-evident transactions and enabling greater equality and consistency through automated smart contracts, this adds transparency and accountability for these transactions. Making sure the money we pay in taxes goes to the right places. Again giving us Americans more moderation on how the government runs things. When you say "We have transparency on how our legislature votes already" I am aware of the "Legislative Transparency and Accountability Act". However I still feel like there is an immense lack of accountability in our political systems that needs to be addressed and I believe using a Blockchain-based system can help with that. I am not saying its going to eliminate all corruption completely but Its a good foundation to start on that can lead us to a better place in the future. I am not here to debate semantics nor am I here to waste anyone's time.. If people choose not to take what i have to say seriously, then honestly there isn't anything I can do about that. I don't believe I give anyone a reason not to take what I say as genuine. Hope this covers step one! feel free to go on to step two!
@@dotexe3426 "Like congress dot gov but with Blockchain dude." As for making sure the money we pay in taxes go to the right place, it disappears somewhere. We paid Lockheed Martin for 16 fighter jets. Then it disappears because Lockheed isn't going to itemize the extra cash they got to grease the CEO. (in which case we already have this too) I just don't see any solutions it provides that we don't already have. And rather than the media or congress dot gov being the various locations where one can see how their representatives vote, they go to some Blockchain explorer website instead where they could theoretically validate it... But will not, just like when they see the news, they don't go read the bill and see how their representatives voted.

Bidden back as VP never would have attacked a member of the press like that.
If you're talking about his inflation response, Biden's and Trump's relationship with the media are not at all comparable. Trump will interrupt and prevent journalists from speaking and invite unduly suspicion of the media. Biden was just sarcastic about a pretty obvious answer. @@inuasha1991 He called him an idiot, because the guy asked a stupid question. Perhaps sarcastic is the incorrect word, and I should have said something along the lines of derisive. Edit: Also I never disagreed with your point. I am saying you are incorrect about something you claimed nonetheless.
@@roman343 perhaps we are disagreeing with approach than. I think there is a difference between a president saying, "that's a stupid question" and "What a f'ing idiot." One's much more aggressive and combative than the other. Insinuating otherwise is mental gymnastics. Also, lets not act like Obama didn't attack Fox news regularly during his presidency. It may have been warranted but attacking the credibility of journalist and news outworks happened before trump as well. Now, Trump's approach was much more aggressive and even went as far as calling Journalist the enemy of the people. Biden hasn't gone that far, but has gone as far as scapegoating MAGA's for all of our countries problems like Trump did with Media. As for media they are fully deserving of being attacked. Modern journalism has been dead for years. Anybody claiming to be a journalist in today's era is laughable at best. These "journalist" have discarded ethics in regards to remaining objective reporting only facts, and instead have allowed their subjective perspectives to bleed into the work unchecked for far too long. That's why no other sources have been nearly as effective of dividing Americans than "journalist." Because people at one another's throats sell and generate more revenue and clicks. They don't care about the integrity of being a journalist, nor do they believe themselves as responsible for the growing tensions in this country. When both sides are telling their base the other is the enemy, than I fully agree with the sentiment that News Corporations ARE the enemy of the American people. We can live in a world where Trump was right, but for the wrong reasons. Trump attacked Media not because what I've argued but because it painted him in a poor light, and that checks with his narcissistic personality. With that in mind, Biden has every right to lose his temper or not like a journalist or the questions they ask. He is a human being. However, the question was since trump have Politicians been more combative with Media and yes it has been. But to allude to the fact it's only one side perpetuating the trend is insane. Biden is just as much an offender to this as any other.

-colluding with Russia, didn't get impeached

I don’t know the statistics behind it but I’m sure it’s definitely better than doing absolutely nothing, I’m sure they are doing this in states that have more swing voters or atleast that would make the most sense to me
It doesn't get people to your side, and people that do canvassing professionally know this. It's about getting information about where voters are leaning and using that to target them via other means. Plus also getting literature into their hands directly from a human.
I thought the point was to knock on democrats doors and make sure they’re going to vote, help then make a plan, get them a mail in ballot or whatever makes it easier for them?
Yes, but also a lot of it is just reminding people to vote.
Some people out there don't have a "side" and do more than just check the down ballot R or D box.
There is also the psychology of it... "There are people out there that like this guy enough to get off their ass and talk to me directly rather than sit and complain on Twitter? What do I not know about this guy?"
This is ineffective when I know more about both candidates than the people standing at my door but I acknowledge the effort put in but very few people do any significant research into the candidates for even house seats let alone anything smaller.

🤓so heckin true
coming from the perspective of someone who doesn't engage in much if any politics at all, I find that most of what I see can be summed up as a reality TV show and people are just voting for their favorite character.
@@dotexe3426 "Like congress dot gov but with Blockchain dude."
As for making sure the money we pay in taxes go to the right place, it disappears somewhere. We paid Lockheed Martin for 16 fighter jets. Then it disappears because Lockheed isn't going to itemize the extra cash they got to grease the CEO. (in which case we already have this too)
I just don't see any solutions it provides that we don't already have. And rather than the media or congress dot gov being the various locations where one can see how their representatives vote, they go to some Blockchain explorer website instead where they could theoretically validate it... But will not, just like when they see the news, they don't go read the bill and see how their representatives voted.

ruclips.net/video/xWrhRgkfwHA/видео.html
If you're talking about his inflation response, Biden's and Trump's relationship with the media are not at all comparable. Trump will interrupt and prevent journalists from speaking and invite unduly suspicion of the media.
Biden was just sarcastic about a pretty obvious answer.
Edit: With that being said, I would say current Biden would never able to run before Trump. A factor in his electability problem is his tendency to makes gaffs and say offhanded shit
@@roman343 Biden called the man a f'ing idiot on national tv. That's not sarcasm, sorry no matter how you spin it to justify it in your mind. The point being, as initially stated, that type of behavior would have been seen as unbecoming of a president before Trump. Even you just now gave him a pass because "trump's said worse or done worse." You are actually proving my initial point.
@@inuasha1991 He called him an idiot, because the guy asked a stupid question. Perhaps sarcastic is the incorrect word, and I should have said something along the lines of derisive. That is inherently different than Trump claiming the media as fake news and liars. One is expressing an opinion, and the other is charging media with dishonesty.
