Hoppie doesn't support CPDLC clearances, so there you're limited to ACARS PDC as shown in this video. PilotEdge *does* support CPDLC clearances and those are best illustrated in this video: ruclips.net/video/0SQs5yq_C8w/видео.html You don't need to download FANSgui for PIlotEdge - the CL650 integrates support for it directly in the plane. Simply connect to PilotEdge and LOGON to KUSA as shown in the above video. CPDLC clearances can do more than just confirm your filed clearance. With CPDLC clearances (called "DCL"), ATC can send you an amendment or even a complete reroute after you've started your taxi. This alleviates having to stop & copy down a new route if the weather or conditions change. The FMS will directly load the amendment with a single button and boom, you're back on track. Takes 10 seconds, unlike ACARS PDC, where you need to revert to voice and manually copy & enter a new route yourself.
I don't understand the use case. PDC is for when you have ATC that gives you clearances. Theoretically yes you can, but I don't see a point. If you're not interacting with an online network like Vatsim or Ivao, what's the point of a clearance? Just go fly the route you intend to.
