- My "slightly" modified -97 Marauder with new self-made, unfinished 2" stainless steel pipes without any baffles.
They say that loud pipes save lifes, but I honestly think I could kill someone with these.
This Marauder brings tears to my eyes and demonstrates what a perfect engine sounds like. I hope mine turn out 1/2 this good
Thank you! :)
I love your bike. I have a 99 Marauder that I am trying to customize. Where can I get a rear fender like yours?
Thanks! About the fender, I honestly don't know, since this one is self-made from 2mm thick sheet metal :)
your ears must bleed after a short cruise
Yeah they did 😄 shortly after i made baffles for these.
Thanks beautiful ride and I am currently working on my 07 Suzuki Boulevard c50 and was just wondering if you made that rear fender or bought it at an aftermarket parts store?
Sound ist gut..... Aber die Optik ist ne absolute Katastrophe 🤢. Die Schweißnähte sehen Scheisse aus
I've been trying to find a rear fender just like that could you tell me where to find one
It's made from a blank fender
What are those sounds good
Nosto,
When fabricating the muffler is is simply muffler material and a flange or is it double walled like the original?
Thanks
There aren't any mufflers, just one piece 2" stainless steel pipe per cylinder.
cool thanks for the answer!
🤩
Sounds like a lawn mower without a muffler
What carburetor do you have an what are your jets sizes
Stock
This is so beautiful i actually cried a bit
DynastyGaming Thanks! :)
cool beast man! can tell me about, how (or where) you get this rear fender? It looks f....in great!!!
wow, nice ride man, what a beast........ got a 2000 myself with vance n hines cruzers, doesnt sound quite as mean as this, but close
Nice one !!!
What jets did you run and was they straight straight or have a small baffle inside
Stock jetting, but it should have had at least stage 1 kit, ran quite lean. No baffles.
Oh wow asif I’ve built a set of 2 inch straight through pipes but was thinking of bagging them I’ve got custom jetting on way and upgraded the filter to k&n
how much for the exaust
You did great job on that👍.
But suzuki screwed me up with the 2 carbs being placed on opposite ends¿ why suzuki!
Thanks! Yeah I know exactly what you mean. A real b*tch to sync and sounds like a sewing machine 😄
amigo me perdoe pois não falo inglês, como faço um escapamento desses, é um cano de 2" direto, sem abafador
friend sorry my English, I am Brazilian. how do i escape one of these, is a 2 "straight pipe without damper
Yeah, these are just straight pipes. No silencers at all.
wow ! very very nice. I veryuch appreciate how you did what you WANTED and its one of the most original and tasteful versions of a Marauder ive seen yet. I also have a 97 marauder I bought brand new 20 years ago. I did some stuff to it too. it has a meaty belt drive that I fitted myself from S 40 , parts. search " belt drive marauder " . still has original paint and engine. runs like a german clock. I love the belt .makes it a whole differnt bike. if u want ,ill share my build specs for u to do yours. total cost for job less than 300$. doing your own work. leave a comment on vid if you want to chat. im impressed with your work. you could do the belt mod. its not for idiots. btw , over 5000 miles on belt " prototype" and 0 problems. drive it hard too.
Kevin Freist Thank you very much! I don't have this bike anymore, but I agree with the belt drive being superior as my current bike has got one :)
Moriensta... Oliko kuinka hankalat tehä noi putket? Itellä ollu kans mieles, et jos vääntääs täysin suorat putket ens kesäksi. Minkä vuoden toi sun konehes on?
Pyörä on ensimmäistä vuosikertaa eli -97, alun perin takapytyn putki meni alakautta.
Love the bike I also Have a 97. Where did you find the risers for the handle bars? I haven't had any luck at local shops looking.
Can't remember anymore, all I do remember is that they didn't fit straight. I had to drill out the diameter and make new threads to fit them.
how did you get the flange to meet up to the motor was there a compression ring there or did you weld the flange onto the pipe then bolt it to the motor?
The sealing is set up as original, seperate flange and an stainless steel fitment to meet the metal seal in the exhaust port.
Good looking. is that converted to single carb?
Thanks! No, it's original twin carb setup.
who wouldn't want to mount something that sounds that sweet
did u have any problems with cutting out
No, none. A little bit longer on the choke when cold, and somewhat hotter exhaust at high rpm, so I think it was a little bit lean. But depends much on how you drive it.
How hard to put on clutch cable 01 marader
I have no idea
I love the seat and rear fender. Was it custom made? Would you be able to provide the contact to get that? I am looking at getting a VZ800, but would like it too look like that
Justin Reid Thank you! Yeah they were both custom made by me. The seat was from pure sheet metal and rear fender was cut from a fender blank.
Would you please share where did you get the straight pipes from?
I love this. Brings hope to my build. I wish I could find a way to change the bars
There are longer cables avalible
Nice bike bro what exhaust is that I might get one and wanted to know this sounds great
Thanks! The exhaust is homemade.
@@nostokurki847wanna make me one ?😁
Hey man were did you get the rear fender from?
Made it from blank fender myself, just some grinder work and couple of holes to drill. Google "rear fender blank"
Where did you get the exhaust flanges to weld to?
Also, what did you use to replace the PAIR valve cover?
Made the flanges myself from 8mm thick steel plate. They aren't welded on, just act as a fasteners for stainless pipe pieces that fit to original exhaust o-rings -> nostokurki.1g.fi/kuvat/VZ800/putket/IMG_0285.JPG/full. That valve cover or "air cleaner" is a part of kids stainelss kitchen toy set from ikea, just made a bracket to hold it and punched a hole in the middle to screw it in.
Thanks for the info. I'm attempting a similar setup.
Where did you get that rear fender
I saw in your other post that you made the fender, how much to make me one
What did you use to paint the rims?
Basic acryl paint and acid primer
what kinda jets u got in it
At the time, it had the original jets. Later I did put a DynoJet stage 2 kit in, performance improved significantly.
what seat is that ? pretty bike
Thanks! The seat is homemade by me.
@@nostokurki847 i give you props it looks great
Thats great looking! Did you need to extend the cables a lot to make those bars fit? also how wide are those bars? (i hate my stock bars ... way too narrow) Thanks!!
Thanks! All stock cables and lines were long enough. The bar is about 34" wide, if I remember right.
Just answered my question on the cables and bars very cool 800
Yeah the bars are too narrow I feel I dont have good control
Beuatifull bike man! Love the marauder i have one myself - no where near this nice yet though
Thank you :) it was my first "big" build.
First build! Impressive, very nice work.
How did you do the forward controls?
monkstang95sn took some 5mm thick steel, cut and weld and that's about it
How did you make these?
+Michael Galifos Just cut & weld some pipes and notches together, nothing special. Made from stuff I had lying around.
fantastic work
Thanks, mate!
WHAT FENDER IS THAT ?
Please read the previous posts, it's self made.
make me one? lol got 01
Sorry mate, I can't get those fender blanks anymore :/
HOw did you do that, its amazing!
Lots of hours in my garage... :) Thanks!
@@nostokurki847 where did you get your handlebars and risers looks really nice
@@sll-tt6bj handlebar is a TRW-Lucas, risers are just some generic aftermarket stuff
I have a 97 with Cobras... and while at idle or low throttle it isn't too bad, anywhere else, the damn thing is obnixious as hell... in many cases worse than the harleys with straight pipes... my Cobra drags do not have the adjustable baffles and it pisses of a lot of people... I am going to either sell the bike or see if I can find some decent used pipes that sound good but don't scream all the time... plus the cops now are enforcing the 96db limit on loud vehicles and I am sure this thing barks louder than 96db
Yeah, short stroke makes this thing a quite rev monster, and also makes it sound really nasty when cruising. You could build baffles yourself, or make a lollipop silencer at the end of the pipes? See my other video about this bike, I built adjustable baffles for this bike, now I can leave home without pissing off my neighbours :)
Can you short exhaust a 1998 because the 99 and up have that exhaust setup you have mine runs underneath the bike I also have cobra drags on mine and my neighbors hate me haha
Did you rejet the carbs?
No
