Hi, I'm Rick and I live in a bus.
Hi, I'm Rick and I (usually) live in a bus. Yup, I'm one of "them". My passion is living life just outside of the proverbial box. Travel, adventure, wonder, and all that. (Yea, I'm a little bit ADHD and I kinda need constant stimulation).
    Location(s): ISTANBUL TURKEY

I have heard of a couple who negotiated a deal where they live year-round on a cruise ship.

When people say Türkiye is affordable i dont think they were talking about Istanbul so dont judge the entire country by that one city

And I also don't think they were referring to places in the touristy areas. I'm sure they could save a lot by getting several blocks from the main streets.

We head for Antalya next, an apartment with a full kitchen, in a quiet residential area, it's much cheaper and honestly we really need the sense of home, cooking, laundry, more nature.
I think coming during high season made it more expensive, all the way from Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Türkey.
Next time we come, it will be off-season. Thanks for the advice.

2:59(ish) You do clean up nice. Nicki (sp?) needs arm candy, too. It's not fair that you get it all the time. 😁

Nikki here, yes! Tomorrow is my hair day. We both want to participate in the White Party on the cruise, so im next for an outfit, on a budget.
We have been back packing since May when we did the Camino De Santiago, so we had just 3 sets of clothing and hand washed. It's time for a roll away and giving my back a break. Thanks for the courtius comment 😊

I have followed you for a long time so I am going to give you the same advice I gave myself. You like not having to work and seeing the world. Fine. You also appear to be running from trauma memories. It will be hard for you to relax in one place for 14 days.
Of course you can throw my ideas out.
    1. Stop wasting money on alcohol. Consider why you need to drink everyday.
    2. When you get trauma memories, address them by saying “he shouldn’t have done that to me(or her, or them, etc.)each time a memory comes up, acknowledge it as above. Trauma memories happen to us more after we quit work and have time for thoughts to pop up. For me they had less of a gut punch overtime as I acknowledged the trauma and didn’t make excuses for the perpetrator.
    3. I would look for cheap land (in the USA, maybe Arizona, where you start staying for as long as you want. You can build an outside kitchen etc. Research it online. There will come a time when you don’t want to pack up.If the school bus dies, it will be home. You can only trek North America so many times. This will save you money in the long term for trips to the small towns in other countries (which I highly agree with).
    I Love watching your journey.

That is one of the options going forward, along with we work away.
Pet transport is something we would enjoy.
