What a beautiful place! I am totally amazed by how the monks built all sorts of steps and houses in such an harsh environment 1500 years ago
I visited this place during a diving trip in western Ireland in 1996. It is SPECTACULAR and left a very strong impression. I can't imagine how tough the monks lives were here a thousand years ago...

This is seriously awesome, had no idea the Last Jedi island was based on a real place. I love how much of the island's original history the director put into the movie as well, so cool.

Great job on this! I had the awesome privilege of touring this island back in 2007 when it was much lesser known. Absolutely stunning! It's definitely in my top 3 things I've ever done! Just wish I could go back in time with my drone and equipment I have now to do a better job of capturing it. I've got great photos, but not much else.
Doubt drones are allowed for tourists to use on the island.

skellig Michael was so aesthetically pleasing in tlj, with the stormy weather and crashing waves. Would love to go there one day.
Elysian I was there on Saturday. I live an hour and a half away from it and that was my first time seeing it. There’s also an island next to it called the bishops head and if you look at it from the left side it looks like a giant man lying on his back. Creepy and amazing when you look at it for your first time

This was before star wars 8 when skellig Micheal wasn't as famous.

Everyone in Skellige has Irish accents.
The 45 minutes boat trip to the island was probably the most gruelling one I experienced but it's well worth it.

It's €70 per person going into the island for a tour. Went to co Kerry there a few years back and we wanted to book a trip and to be told it's seventy quid per person.
Fantastic job on this video , completely held my attention from beginning to end .Of course being Canadian and 57 year old thrill junkie and I've raised 7 son's that always kept me quite active. so whether it be skiing - caving - long boarding - mountain biking etc etc . I have to suggest Canada eh ! ( Ontario preferably- that's where I live ).There are countless breathtaking wonders of nature here in Ontario. Since the time that I discovered your RUclips channel it has only gotten better , Thank you and best regards from Lloyd.

Quite appropriate really as the first few original Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies were made at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, England. My hometown and the home of Star Wars. I met Harrison Ford there in 1976.

If anyone wants to find where exactly on the island the end shot of the force awakens was filmed, pause exactly at 3:56 Luke was standing just to the right of the small dark rock on the far left of the screen, and the path running from the middle of the clearing straight down and to the right was the path Rey used to reach him.
