The next challenge istsking a viewer into the unnecessary studio and having to build an invention but your hands are tied behind your back. This could also be a sweepstakes or charity.
You should make a remote control that controls remotes. Basically, it controls TV remotes even when they are far away so you don't have to get up and grab the actual remote yourself.
This is just pure genius 😂 And maybe the remote control to control the other remotes is also too far away so you might need another remote to control the remote controlling remote 🤯
@@ulliu.3200 waaay too many loops lol I put in a different reply that the RAR(Readily Available Remote) stays attached to a pouch at your side so you never lose it.
Man, this is impressive! I might be able to make a 3d model of the casing in 24 hours *IF* I do not procrastinate. The idea, scripting, coding, printing, filming and editing? Nope, not at all
You should make an inventing race where two inventers have the same random premise and you have 24 hours (or however long you want to make it) to finish the project before having judges determine the winner. It show how different people react to a new premise and I think it would be really interesting to watch. My pick would be to do one with William Osman.
Next time orient the print upside down and save half of the print time by not printing around 17 kilos of support material (and having a nicer finish on the top) :) but still, very funny idea and nice video!
I think the surface on the build plate always comes out in looking worse that a piece that is finished up top. Plus the section where the cup sits is offset so the top surface of the inner dark blue circles would have had supports on them and wouldn't have looked as clean.
Maybe you could ask someone on the street in front of your office for an idea or do a mini survey. It would also be cool to see people reaching to your invention, trying to guess what it does or what it's supposed to solve
Really appreciate that you showed your thinking process…. And the steps it takes from dream to reality…. Your awesome I appreciate you as a person your awesome for real!!! Really inspiring for younger inventors you’ll be the reason for the new renaissance
first test of prototyping is validation , the stop watch in a coaster wouldnt pass this stage for me but i guess due to the timeframe its very doable. people drink when they are thirsty the clock makes no difference except it becomes another device you need to supply batteries for.
Custom drink creator: You load different drinks and then you can press the button for a specific drink or have the machine randomly made one and you can save certain drink combinations to buttons
Loved the format of this video. Unnecessary Invention idea: A button on your forehead you put on when you go to sleep to be able to tap the button and record a thought in the middle of the night when you wake up with “that amazing idea “ or a spouse could tap it to leave a message if they leave early or to prove you were snoring! playback starts with a tilt sensor when you rise out of bed. Version 2 could have a taser and remote for spouse for the ultimate anti-snore device. Version 3 has bright red stop light you swing around to the back of your head for walking in crowds. Motion detects your stopping and flashes person behind you so they look up from their phone and don’t run into you. Then when in the office, coworkers could tap it on the back of your head to leave you a message and not bother you while you are working.
On a regular basis I make a fantastic cup of coffee then only take a few sips then forgot about it. Maybe add an alarm to remind yourself to keep sipping.
I'm only seeing this now after 7 months but this would be a great way to help people who are addicted to their phone. Place the phone on the sensor and see the last time you picked up your phone. Necessary
You should also add a scale to it so it shows a display of the weight, so you know if someone has taken a drink of your drink, and maybe even add a temp sender to it so you can drink your beverage before it gets too hot.
I got one: Problem: While playing uno you have to constantly find the right card to play by switching between them in your hand, Make a uno card holder you can hold that displays each card perfectly, sort of like a Swiss knife/Chinese hand fan that opens up and closes perfectly.
@@UnnecessaryInventions well a more reasonable mistake I can see is not doing the 3d modeling first LOL if you started 3dprinting ASAP it wouldnt have been _aas_ close haha. But honestly who am i to tell you that. I could never do that in 24 hours!
@@pvic6959 it is better to make the mainechanism of the product first before you model the case, otherwise how do you know it will fit? Also a decent modeler can do that model in under 6 hours

@Unnecessary Inventions: Man, you need some tree supports on Cura for your prints... you could have had that 10 hour print be a lot faster if you turned it 180 degrees with tree supports.
If you end up doing the foosball-truck (or as I like to call it, Foostruck), you should get one of those mini electric trucks from Alibaba. Some guy in Utah buys them to resale in the US.
This is actually a usable product. Stay hydrated. Also, if the counting would start when lifting the glass and stop when it's put back on the coaster, you'd just need to show seconds and milliseconds instead of minutes and seconds and the product would sell to fraternities all over...
Those displays are supposed to have a grey filter in front of them. You can get them in sticker form. Just a simple sticker will make that display a LOT more readable.
The trunk of an SUV (like a Tesla) can turn into a portable TV setup. Maybe for camping. A projector screen near the hydraulic and a projector on the opposite side near the bottom of the trunk door. If you did had a Tesla to use it on, you could also use the frunk as a home theater system holder where it could hold the stuff for the sources. So unnecessary, it could actually be NESSESARY!!!
I just realized, when inventing anything it’s always going to be difficult. You have to either think of a good idea that could help make completing tasks easier or think of a *UNNECESSARY INVENTION* that barely anyone would want to use. Unless you get the ideas from others but there’s also the design process, coding (maybe), gathering materials, building rough drafts, remastering the design, ACTUALLY BUILDING THE FINAL PRODUCT, and then advertising it (maybe). And probably more steps.
Honestly, this invention would be better if you added a mini-buzzer/piezo that would sound if you have been drinking your drink for longer than 20 seconds, so It would last
Nice idea but using ultrasonic sensors and a possibly damp/wet glass - issues ahead. I would have used a capacitive sensor. Also add an annoying noise that gets louder and LOUDER until you take another sip :)
If you had one with an alarm it could remind you to take a drink every so often, like if you’re trying to increase your fluid intake. But then I guess it wouldn’t be unnecessary anymore…
Instead of using sonic sensor we could've used 2 load cell sensor which would decrease the height and could show the weight of the drink we have on coaster and the stopwatch as well!
I honestly thought the timer would do the opposite - time how long it takes you to take a drink. That would be useful for drinking games, but then I realised what channel this is and... yeah
Ok I think you should do a similar concept of video but you have to use the standing keyboard and mouse you've made, It sould be very ergonomic to use with fusion 360.
What should be my next challenge?!
The next challenge should be a mix and match 2 random unnecessary inventions!
No 3d printing involved
Tour of your studio
The next challenge istsking a viewer into the unnecessary studio and having to build an invention but your hands are tied behind your back. This could also be a sweepstakes or charity.
Build something with hand tools only 🤭
I think the most impressive part is that you use Fusion 360 without a mouse.
I know, it's insane
SERIOUSLY
Hahahahaha I was admiring it too, I can't even make a circle on fusion 360 without the mouse.
It seems like a great way to get rsi.
If you do it for a while, you forget that you aren’t using the mouse. And also yes it is painful to do.
