@@lfxqc I started my editing journey as soon as I started making youtube videos. If you go back and watch my earliest videos, the editing is super simple. I watched other youtubers and picked up some editing tricks and applied more and more each subsequent video. Really it was just all about trying to make the next video more entertaining than the last, and a lot of that relies heavily on trying new things with editing. The great part is that you really only need to know the basics of an editing software (like after effects) to do 95% of the stuff I do in my videos.

Honestly? I kind of disagree. His 5 minutes version looks infinitely better than the corporate versions because it actually has character. The corporate "designers" just slap some random color under a basic text font, maybe add some badly photoshopped extra elements and call it a day. But this guy, even with a simplified 5 minutes logo managed to capture my visuals interest way more than the corporate logos do.

@TripleA3 Not to take anything away from Brandon's next video, but I occasionally do packaging design with the company I work for. Generally, the company producing the package will have an unfolded template that you just place your design onto and send back. I like Brandon's idea of designing on a mockup. It does give you a better idea of what the finished product will look like, and it makes a bigger impact during the client presentation. The only downside is that it's not always easy to find a mockup with the exact specifications as the actual bag, so you may end up making slight layout adjustments on the final product.

      @@NektoDesigner Thanks Nekto!
I was actually talking about the content of the file rather than the extension. Should it be designed as dielines or any other format?

The 30-minute layout is the best for me. I think the latter could be more interesting with the wooden backing throughout the package and the text "keetle chips" being carved into the wood.

Great video bro. Your peanut bar video popped up in my feed while the ads were playing in the cinemas, and I've been binging your content ever since. I've noticed adding shadows/lighting helps a lot in all the designs. You've got a very gentle presenting voice, keep it up man.

Your videos are just absolutely amazing. You put so much creativity into the entire process of the design, the editing, the sound design, and each video is entertaining from beginning to end. I only came across your videos this week and have already watched all of them. You've reignited my love for graphic design and made me want to experiment with so many new techniques and methods that you've demonstrated. Thank you! I hope great things come your way.

But you've made it incredibly entertaining and informative to watch. Well done. Your channel is Captain Disillusion levels of quality
