Mass Effect 3 - Cut Dialogue Between Anderson and Shepard Extended

  • Hey, everyone.
I'm sure that by now everyone has seen the 'cut dialogue' between Anderson and Shepard. After rummaging through the audio files, I thought I could arrange a compilation with a bit better pacing and 'feel' of a final conversation between old friends than what's already out there.
Some people have said that this conversation wasn't cut - that it appears for anyone who did not romance anyone from Mass Effect 1 to 3. I haven't tested it, so I can't say - though I've seen no proof of these claims. For now, I'll file it along with the two dozen ways to resurrect Aeris that I still haven't tried.
That's my FemShep pictured in the video: Earth-born war hero, Rebecca Shepard. Depending on how the "Extended Cut" DLC plays out, this video may end up being considered the end of her story so far as my headcanon is concerned.
    I hope you enjoy!
Background is "I'm Proud of You" Extended by / movieandtvthemes .

They cut THIS scene because of consistency? Lemme get this straight... of all the lore violations, thematic discrepancies and plot holes in the ending they chose to cut one of the most touching and emotional scenes in video game history and leave the fucking ghost child god thingy? It's still great and all the way they left It but this is the way Shepard is meant to go out

Anderson has always been Shepherd's pillar. He's always had your back, always been at your side and always willing to sacrifice everything for you. I found it interesting how Shepherd meets their mother but never their father. The writers knew Anderson is the perfect father figure and didn't want to take away from that.

Oh Absolutely. There are a lot of memorable moments in Mass Effect but I always thought of this one in particular. It's just so somber yet beautiful. Just so beautiful.

Probably the only knock against it is the quietness between the terrible pained grunts in the beginning of their conversation.
**silence** **oof ow eek** "best seats in the house" **silence**
It's also in the BroShep version, too. So it's not a knock on Hale. Just the scene direction.

As far as Anderson already having children, all you have to do is remove the line about him not having a family or children and the conversation still remains largely intact. I think it's just safe to say that the Bioware of the past is gone and we're only likely to see more of the same in the future.

Plus as much as I love Kaiden and enjoy Ash, ME1 isn't their best showing of personality. Even the music, "Proud of You" and "The Cure" are triumphant/tragic and packed with emotion, Virmires mission soundtrack is more tense and action packed.

because although I enjoyed what they talked about in the extended dialog, for me it took away Anderson's feeling of being a Father Figure, when he talked about never having children. My feeling was that Anderson had a family in the Normandy and its crew. Actually more than family, if you understand the bonds between soldiers coming home from war.
The shorter version felt more focused to me.
I felt the shorter version had the father saying what needed to be said, before he passed away.

I reckon, I don't blame BioWare myself, BioWare has never made a bad game up until this point (not including Dragon Age 2) I blame every flaw in this ending on EA. If you managed to get the Dioluage from inside the game, then BioWare probably had something amazing planned but EA wanted to turn it in to a DLC money making scheme that back fried so hard in their face. I mean Day 1 DLC?? Only EA would do that

7 years late, but day 1 DLC? Which one and which greedy idiot didn't think it would be suspicious as hell?

i don't know why everyone hates da2 so much, its true it has a lot of flaws but it has so much to offer ,and it also has one of the best da protagonists hawke. I wish more people would give it a chance.

God, I love this dialogue. Still have no idea why they cut it. I kind of like to think that Anderson was kind of a father figure to Shepard, particularly for Earthborn or Colonist backgrounds. It just gives their relationship and this final moment a lot more depth in my opinion. I was pretty young when I played the game for the first time, so I didn’t really hold any kind of feelings for the characters that I do now. The Mass Effect Trilogy will always be some of my favorite games of all time. Always.

April 2024, still here and I still wished theyd have not cut this and we'd got a better ending that what we did. Also with the legendary edition I can't believe they didnt include FemShep/jack & FemShep/Miranda romances. I've seen them but i cant play them because I play on consoles 😢

I just finished mass effect triolgy again. Just did a marathon of it, might be the only series I have done a marathon of let alone twice, and i vasly prefer mass effect 3 with mods and the extended scene of this makes it far more emotional or a least little more emotinal then without. Teary at this scene , when I finished me3 now for the fourth time.

Is there any chance that you could also do the same thing for the male Shepard cut dialogue. I'd like that one just as much if I had this pace and score with it. Just thought I'd ask.
