Enjoying your no fluff teaching style! I purchased the HJet today and had a bit of a play. I was surprised and a little disappointed that none of the MCP buttons have a light to show they're engaged - or have I missed something? Keep up the good work! 😊👍🏻
That s exactly what I was looking for ! I was wandering if this plane was having a good working vnav or not and now I have the answer ! Thank for your video ! 🙂
In the video, when you click on Flight Plan it shows all of the waypoints between the origin airport and the point of arrival. In my case it only shows the origin airport and point of arrival and no waypoints in between. Why is that?
All depends what you planned in the world map. Direct will only show departure and destination, High/Low altitude airways will show waypoints and any SID/STAR/approach you select. Flight planning tutorial here ruclips.net/video/CSeeuKc_GUQ/видео.html
@TiJayFLY Very nice video, thank you. There is one part I don't get: why did you have to dial in the approach altitude (2000AGL). If it's already entered into the waypoint, doesn't VNAV just descend the plane to it?
Unrelated question...how do you increase the fuel load on the aircraft? I click on Weight and Fuel and put in a higher number but it doesn't increase the amount of fuel in the tanks.
I did the exact same thing in the video and my vnav light is orange not green and on mfd I don’t see the path I am on Xbox. Is there something I’m missing ?
@@TiJayFLY I believe so not to sure what is the mcp? I’m fairly new but I did follow everything you did in the video so I’m sure it was set. Nothing changes on the ground on the mfd to display the point where I want to be at 32,000 it doesn’t even change after take off either when auto pilot is engaged.
Good day, I don’t if you already have discussed this in other videos, but I want know if the aircraft shows the missed approach procedure on its FMS. I really use MSFS for training purposes and I need an aircraft which has the missed approach procedure in its database. The only ones offering me this are the ones equipped with the updated G1000 like C172, C208 etc..
Hi there, are you using SpadNext by any chance. I am tring to get my head around how to setup LVARs so it work with my Logitech Cessna Yoke and throttle quadrant.
@@TiJayFLY Thanks for the reply. Do you have the Thrustmaster Throttle quadrant. I'm not familiar with The Thrustmaster Airbus HOTAS. Nice video non the less.
@@chrispurkiss1491 yeah it’s essentially a T16000M, except the throttle quadrant is modelled on an Airbus. Although for anything that isn’t an Airbus, I just use the throttle that’s on the stick itself.
Thank for the tutorial! How do you get city names and topographic ones on the map display? I have them enabled in the MFD but nothing appears, only airports, VOR etc.
Good question! Recommended altitudes for enroute waypoints are listed on the MSFS flight planner / world map if you click on the waypoints, which will give you an idea of where your TOC/TOD should be :) Intercept waypoints don’t have altitudes listed on the planner, but you can safely assume that final will usually be ~2000AGL. You can get even deeper into it and find altitudes for SIDs/STARs on approach charts, but at that point you’re likely better off just flying an airliner which has them preloaded 😂
@@TiJayFLY thank you for the tutorial. I’ve done 2 flights with the Hjet and it’s definitely my plane of choice now. It’s incredibly stable, unlike the Citation Cj4 whereas when I fly that I’m bouncing everywhere.
I’ve found the VNAV functionality a bit problematic. Flying straight through TOD without and descent. Understand the process. Just wish the plane would execute it consistently.
@@TiJayFLY yes. Final alt dialed in. VNAV armed. Even specifies time to TOD and then flys through it at time to TOD increases. Mind you it has worked. Just not consistent.
Thanks for this tutorial. I loved how to do automatic vnav altitude and also the decent. Question: The flight envelope its a real one of Hjet or a copy of MSFS default Citation CJ4 ?
Thanks for shinning a light on the vnav. Looking to get this jet but it all depended on vnav. I’d been reading conflicting reports that the vnav doesn’t work. Do you know if it functions correctly on Xbox because there is no g3000 mod on the Xbox yet?
That’ll be really helpful, thanks. I really don’t want to add a plane to an already lacking bunch of vnav planes available for Xbox as it is. But if it does work then I’ll defiantly get it. Keep me posted. Thanks.

VNAV is restricted by the MCP. It’s not allowed to exceed the ceiling or floor set on there
