  • A first look at the "HJet" (cough... Honda Jet) in Microsoft Flight Simulator - taking it off from Stansted, flying a simple circuit, and landing. Along the way we explore the systems a little, play with the autopilot, and find out how the plane behaves. Very impressed.

    I've watched several reviews / test flights of the H-Jet and I love watching people trying to find the lights 😁

    • @jonbeckett
      @jonbeckett  2 года назад +1

      I'm guessing they are automatic.

      @@jonbeckett They are automatic but you can change them from norm / auto to on or off. I don't know the exact terminology (I'm an amateur) but light control is on the Garmin computer instead of a physical switch.
      Edit: I just found it. The lights are under the "system control" tab. Btw I love your videos. I've learned a ton from them. I don't have flight sim yet but channels like yours are giving me a lot of heads up info.

    Fantastic effort if that really is done by a single developer. Looks fun

    Jonathan, you need to get yourself a Logitech MxMaster mouse. It has a flywheel built into the mouse wheel that keeps the mouse wheel spinning with a quick flick of the wheel. Makes heading adjustments and other wheel-intensive controls a lot faster to perform.

    • @jonbeckett
      @jonbeckett  2 года назад

      I'll look into it :)

      Second that - I have the MX Master 3 for Mac, best mouse I ever had. The scroll wheel can be either smooth or with 'detents', which is really handy, and it's covered in programmable buttons too. Also got the matching keyboard, MX Keys, which is also outstanding.

    If you have a Navigraph sub, you get GREAT integration of charts. I like using CSC to hold speed in cruise but I'm not happy with TOD VNV management and flying RNAV and ILS approaches are problematic at present (for me).

    You also need to select all the VSPEEDS to have them appear on the speed tape. This may also cause config alerts.

      I thought I did that during the setup of the aircraft (I'll have to check)

  • @paulphibbs5362

    Lights are automatic as a default. You needed to set the trim for takeoff. Move to green range.

    This release DOES NOT work with the Working Title mod for the G3000. You only get what comes out of the box.

      Not sure what you mean? You don't need the separate WT G3000 mod installed for the systems to work and I've not seen any conflicts caused by having the G3000 mod installed.

    Coming in 2 months later because I have been flying this little lady for 2 weeks now and madly in love with her
    Have you tried it again since because so much of what you played around with then did not show the Aircraft in its best light and there are many improvements since new - EG the developer - 1 Man - incorporates the WT into the S/ware and version 1.6 has just been sent to Marketplace for a very full update - Time for a revisit ??

    Doesn't fly nice at all (twitchy, oversensitive) and lots of problems with the systems, VNAV and "custom" WT G3000.

    • @aerofart
      @aerofart 2 года назад +2

      I have to agree with some of what you’re saying about the twitchiness. But I’ve never actually flown this plane IRL and I have experienced some strangeness with the G3000, but I’m not sure if that’s my own lack of familiarity with how it’s actually supposed to work. I can say though that I’m afraid to activate some AP modes as I have been driven nearly into the ground a couple of times on takeoff and approach.

      There has been an update overnight that has fixed some of the VNAV and other issues. Still bugs with following the GP and VNAV descent is a bit of a rollercoaster, needs to be more linear.
