I’m building 1000whp mustang ecoboost at the moment!! I live this platform!! I love mustangs, and I’ve always loved 4 cylinder turbo cars so when the mustang ecoboost came out I had to have it! Specially when it was Reminiscent to the SVO back in the days
@@Outlaw_103 well at the Moment I have a fbo 2019 ecoboost mustang , with the nx2 turbo and on e30 tune. And I’m at 400whp.. depending on your location and elevation you can squeeze 420whp safely out of the stock set up. You can run up to e30 on stock motors, and stock fuel system. So for a stock set up you can squeeze 400-420whp but that’s with the nx2 turbo. Stock turbo you can normally squeeze 360whp out of it. I’ve seen more but it’s really hard. So that’s what I’m currently running. The 1000whp build is completely new block, new everything, and I’m not using the 2.3 block I’m using the 2.0 ST block with 2.3 after market internals, best and strongest parts money can buy, ST block is the best block and will be sleeved with custom spec darton sleeves, block also built with Callie’s enforcer rod 4340 with 3.5 rod bolts , h13 took steel 250 wall wrist pin, using new oem crankshaft with balance shaft delete, custom spec traum coated 1300hp pistons, we will be using a built 4 port head , with custom arp 625 half inch head studs , custom spec piper uk vct cams, beehive springs, titanium retainers , o ringed, and ported, with a magnus intake manifold, and also will be using dual injection both port and direct injection, and all this going with xonas biggest turbo (105mm) with a custom turbo kit made by ETS , and also a built transmission.
Runnin a 500HP Ecoboost Mustang myself, love it. Honestly I prefer it to a V8 (ive owned Chev LS cars before) but the ecoboost just feels like a JDM car to me like a Nissan Silvia or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, its really great since Ive always loved tunmed high performance JDM cars but they were never available in my country so the Ecoboost Mustang gave me a reasonably priced RWD Turbo 4 platform that i could take to over 400HP easily and with a lot of aftermarket parts support. It really is a nice platform, I never though id get this kind of option from an American (rather than Japanese) brand.
@@victorgodinez1296 I looked up more horse power for a Ecoboost, there's a short block replacement called a EcoBeast they claim to have tested it up to 500HP. Can you tune it beyond 500 ponies? I have yet to find a video but you most likely could
@@trewilliams8789 I have the upgraded short block from the Ford Performance catalog, which is now called Ecobeast like you said. I also have the NX2 Turbo with upgraded intercooler, piping, turbo valves, TunePlus tuning, Roush exhaust & intake system, octane boosted fuel, upgraded fuel injection/pump. Full coilover suspension upgrade, Ford Performance brakes and low ratio differential. You dont need the block upgrade though for upto 500hp crank if your fuel quality is good it should be fine if you dont abuse it. 500hp to the wheels then yeah you need it.
This would be a perfect street sleeper car!!! Imagine pulling up on a red light with a hellcat or a Rt thinking easy k*ll and then get gapped with your girl in the passenger seat.... 😂 😂😂
So we can get 800hp out of a 4cylinder mustang but not the explorer st? Am I missing something? Another question I have is why can the coyote fit in the mustang but not the explorer? I know the answer is probably simple I just can’t wrap my head around why the engine bay would be smaller in bigger vehicle.

The 4 cyl ecoboost is neat but it sucks they are so difficult to build up. I wish ford would have made a new design for it instead of trying to cheaply refresh the Mazda block...
That's cool to get a 4 banger outputting that amount of power, but there's no replacement for displacement in my opinion. Also I think engine reliability will be an issue with all that boost. I guess for drag racing it's the same across the board but for a daily driver build that much boost will not be reliable.
@@ParkerPerformanceFL I'm not saying it's not badass or amazing that an Ecoboost can accomplish that I guess I was talking more about daily driver car, for drag racing you're replacing parts constantly in some cases. What I meant to say was an 800hp Ecoboost might not be as reliable as a V8 800hp car for daily driving just because of all the boost. I could be wrong but it was just my thoughts.

Why are you guys working so hard on a 4 cylinder engine? I get that it’s big power out of a small package but wouldn’t it be better to turbo a 5.0 engine? Just asking..
its more fun to upgrade an underdog car. Yes the 5.0 is a great engine and is more reliable and has the best sound along with the gt350r's 5.2, but the ecoboost has lots more room for improvements and mods unlike the gt thats already stacked, so us car guys can do more work ourselves on the ecoboost because its more fun and a bit easier to mod.
