    Samsung notes is actually incredible. I had to turn in a rough draft for a paper in college last year, and i wrote the whole rough draft during the previous class on my Note 10. I later went to the library and exported it as a Docx file and turned it in on time. Really is a life saver.

      @@cro-guy Yeah that's true, but before this people also complained about the fact that Samsung doesn't use Google Photo as the default gallery app, which could always be sideloaded as well.
      I guess we just want the native experience to be good instead of having to live with the bloats Samsung put in there for no benefit at all.
      Also, you can only use OneDrive photo backup on any phone, not syncing. Unless you use OneDrive as your gallery app, which is really bad.

    I think when reviewers instinctively recommend against upgrading, they forget about Samsung's generous trade-in offers which can effectively cut the cost of the phone in half. Combined with $200 in free accessories and it's hard for even the thriftiest of tech enthusiasts to ignore. As I can basically get the "latest" and great Galaxy Note phone for roughly $600 a year. And not even need to buy multiple cases.
    Now if this were Apple, Google, or virtually any other manufacture, then you may want to pause and consider what you'd get for selling your phone separately. Even then, it can still be a good deal, just more work on your side. Just one of many things Samsung does to keep things simple and continue earning customer loyalty every year.

    • @s3cr3tpassword

      Where are you getting $200 worth of accessories?

    • @GotronFerret
      @GotronFerret 4 года назад +6

      @@Gravage Right, but the point is they are actually offering more than the phone is worth. Obviously, the phone you're trading in has value. But for those that are going for trade and would otherwise buy a new phone every year regardless, it brings the price down considerably and really simplifies everything. You don't even have to wait for the trade discount, it's already there at initial order. Plus, there are additional perks.
      Here is the order I placed, demonstrating Samsung earning loyalty via rewards and discounts:
      Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: +$1,299
      Galaxy Note 10 Plus Trade-In: -$650
      Workplace Discount: -$48.75
      Reward Points: -$5.50 (ordered a Chromebook last month)
      Total: $594.74 (+ Taxes)
      FREE: $200 in accessories, so I got a few cases I would have bought anyway. And I'm not even going to count the free 6 months of Spotify and 4 months of RUclips Premium. But if you did, that would all add up to $1001.61 in "savings." Yeah, bit inflated, but you get the idea.
      I understand these discounts vary, such as the employer and student discount. But they're pretty easy to get if you Google it. And, I just got a few more reward dollars for this purchase, so that's nice. In either case, that's why I keep buying Samsung. Plus, they make great phones. ;)

The note20 ultra blows out the note10+ out of the water. And I got 700 in trade in value so it only cost me 600. Well worth it. And with no more note series phone I'm gonna hold on to this one for at least three years. And with the 1UI 4.0 Android 12 up grade coming soon, there no reason to trade it in.

    I'm going from a Samsung Galaxy 512gb S10 Plus to a 512gb Note 20 Ultra 5G. The reasons are because I've always wanted an S Pen to try out, the crazy good camera with a 5x optical zoom, the amazing screen with the 120hz refresh rate, the ability to play Xbox games, I've never played phone games because I don't think the graphics are that great and you have no real buttons and have to use the screen but with the Xbox setup you have a real controller and over 100 games with good graphics to choose from, the ability to basically use it as a computer when hooked to a monitor or Television and also right now Samsung is offering great deals on the Note 20 phones, I'm with Verizon and with the sale price I'm getting on the 512gb Note 20 Ultra 5G and the trade in value they are going to give me on my my 512gb S10 Plus I'm going to be getting a 512gb Note 20 Ultra 5G model for only $799 instead of $1449 so I will be getting $650 off it! If I wasn't getting such a good deal then I wouldn't get one and I'd stick with my 512gb S10 Plus, but since I'm getting such a good deal I decided that I would upgrade to a 512gb Note 20 Ultra 5G!

    I agree on the colour balance of Samsung's flagship phones' cameras. Sometimes the saturation and the sharpening is very extreme. That hasn't been changed for years. I think it's ok that they want to make it their signature colour science but I wish they could add a "natural" colour profile.

    Mine arrives tomorrow. Upgrading from a Note 10+.
    Why'd I do that? If you order direct from Samsung, and upgrade every year (with trading in your old phone), you get half off the new phone plus around $200 worth of selectable gifts.
    So, in my case, with trade in, I pay $650. But together with the phone, using the $200 credit they gave (toward a variety of items) for pre-orders, I got for "free" a leather case, and a "free" Galaxy Tab A for my kid (who needed a new tablet anyway). Also get 3 months of Spotify premium (hope I can just apply it to my account) included, as well as 3 months RUclips premium (dgaf about that).
    Last year's credit, when I upgraded to the note 10+, gave me galaxy buds, a case, and a couple (smart) light bulbs. Half off for trade in of note 9.
    Note 9 got me AKG over the ear headphones. Around half off for trade in of s8.
    Yeah, still way financially dumber then just keeping a phone until it dies, but dammit, I like having new toys.

Sad we’re most likely not getting either of those this year. I am very curious to see if I would actually use the S-Pen. hard to trust a video that has the standard homescreen setup... doesn't look like the phone has been truly "used". Android devices have to be customized/personalized to understand their awesomeness (says me the iPhone 11 Pro user), especially true with Samsung Devices...
    as for the camera hump, most will slap a case on the phone and then the Cam disappears. AWESOME VIDEO THOUGH!!

    It was a quick shot at Stadia, but as a regular Stadia player I would say that it is absolutely amazing. I have zero interest in spending money on a game console, and Stadia provides the AAA experience for pennies compared to other options. It’s great, I would suggest it to anyone, and I think it deserves a bit more love, honestly. I know serious gamers don’t like it, that’s fine. But I don’t ask a formula 1 driver what car I should get to go to work. Stadia just works.

    Here's one truth phone manyfacturers will never tell you. Phones from s10plus can last forever. Upgrades are gimmicks to get your money. Bottom line, they need to sell you something. So they sell you the idea of a need to upgrade to get features they want you to believe you're missing out on

The choice of a 20MP non-quad-bayer was a very good one. Hope Sony can some day quit the quad-bayer mess they started.

    The Note 9 was the best Note Samsung made. Note 20 Ultra is likely the last and only note you'll need for a while considering that Samsung will start focusing more on the Fold series phones. Samsung Note phones won't really get all that much better in the coming years -- you will have to go with a Fold for top-tier specs and the better S pen (because believe me, one of the next fold phones will have an S pen).

  • @johnnyquest2651
    @johnnyquest2651 4 года назад

    I think you guys review in a bouble and don't take note users into consideration. The latency improvement, 120 refresh rate, camera improvement and screen brightness and slight size increase give note users a no brainer to move up. That doesn't even include the new functions to the note app, the s pen and even the button placement returning. The speaker sounds louder as well. Then you look at the discount you receive if you turn in at least the note 10+ which I do believe that you'd be paying less than half after the trade in. Is every note use sold? Not at all but I will say that it definitely packs enough of a reason to upgrade from the note 10 and definitely from the 9.

    I know off topic. I've been watching you for years. This is my first comment. So I had a Samsung Note 8 multiple issues with the camera. Sprint was nice enough to opt to give me a S9 plus instead. My phone is paid off. I'm itching to upgrade but I know I can hold off another year at most. If you were me and were going to upgrade now... What model would you get? My scenario I can't afford the full retail price it would have to be paid over time with Sprint aka t-mobile .... What model would you upgrade to coming from an s9plus. And fyi my ultimate favorite phone will always be my HTC One M7.... I still have my HTC Nexus 9 still chugging along no issue from 2014😊. I'm still holding out HTC will do one last chance at survival.
