same! no to flat screen. haha just because it looks more beautiful. if that would be flat, you'll see black bezels on the sides, and it would look like the pixel, and its ugly.
As someone who uses the edge screen all the time it's very helpful for the edge being like that.. it feels smoother when you slide to open what ever you have saved in that section.. I put all my apps I use the most to access quick with 1 hand

I know curves have no use. But I really love it! I really do! They look so good. And also features like edge lighting and the edge menu are really cool. I would still prefer them
True. I'm in love with curve edges. It gives me cinematic view honestly. It comes in handy when i watch movies on my N20U. Would never go back to flat screen
I see all the youtubers talking about the curve the screen has and how they want it gone and i dont know man as a note 8 user i really like it and i cant see going back to a flat screen and the edge features that come with the curve and it all just works really nicely and i use it frequently to the point where i see that as an important day to day feature
I honestly hate it xD I rather have flat screens easier to fix and get a good screen protector for it. curved screens make it harder 😭 although I do love using edge I'm sure it's only software they can enable it on flat phones too 🤔
The curved screen came out in like 2012. It's cool and all but kind of impractical. There's plenty more about this phone that screams premium other than a curved display that you don't really need. It's not like on the Galaxy Note Edge back in the day the edge served a purpose. Now it's just an empty aesthetic.
A S9 user here I really love the edge screen, it feels more premium and stands out more compared to the flat screens And I use the edge screen shortcuts every now and then, it's very essential to me rn, have reached a point my hands automatically go there the swipe and bring the shortcuts In my 2 years of usage, accidental touches from the edge screen almost negligible, I really can't remember a time when it bothered me with accidental touches I would want the edge screen to stay, at least in the phones with small form factor!

This flagship is awesome, everything in it screams 2020. The thing I love about it the most is the curved screen on the edges and also the frosted glass on the back 🙌
I loved the intense curved screen on my S8. It looked and felt futuristic at the time. There was an edge menu that I liked. It was convenient and it was never really accidentally selected if you were just holding the phone or browsing through apps... I am really sad that they are moving away from curved screens in their newer releases. 🤷🏽♀️ loved this review btw. Cookie is the cutest thing ❤
I use the one handed operation feature from goodlock to use the edge of the phone to take a screenshot as I find the power & volume buttons quite fidgety i also have the note20 ultra actually switched from my iPhone12 & no regrets
it just makes more sense the volume buttons being on the left while the power sleep button is on the right easier for screenshots & doesn't waste any space
You are the man, Sir. Easily my goto tech reviewer! I have the Note 20 Ultra and I've been a Note user since the first gen. This device feels like a completely new experience for me. Seriously. The productivity this gives me at work is just crazy. The cameras are excellent, the display is ridiculous and content consumption is just awesome. I freely admit that I'm a Note fan boy, and this thing is crazy good. My 22 year old Son just received his today. It's his first Note! I should make him use the first gen before he experiences this fine machine. - Thank you for all of your top shelf videos and I hope God blesses you and that awesome, young Family of yours, Sir. Take care!
I need everyone's help: I just upgrade from Galaxy Note 10 Plus to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. I was so happy at first but when I started to use the camera I was shocked that it's not so great or worse than Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Especially when I first took a selfie my skin color was so off like white? blue? washed out? skin tone. Then I took it with my Note 10 then it was perfect. When using a selfie camera if you switch from photo to video it's like using a different cameras. video mode gets great color but the photo is washed out. For rear camera now its different video gets bad color and picture get better color. But if you compare to Note 10 Plus I think for camera Note 10 is better. What I want to ask is this just mine have a problem with it or is this how Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is? If Note 20 Ultra camera setup is like this even I love Note series I been using Note for 8 years so I don't want to leave Note but if the camera is this level downgrade from Note 10 Plus then I may just return it and get iPhone 12 Pro Max. This 8 years using Note from Note 3 I never had this kind of problem because Note series always had a great camera Everyone, please let me know
Are you using the exynos variant ? bcos I've watched a lot of videos on youtube proving exynos variant samsung phones are bad at performance , camera and battery life. (I'm planning to buy this phone too and for this problem with exynos, I'm actually going to buy a Hong Kong set snapdragon variant online.) But, there's a probability that your phone is problematic too.
it's a great program but unfortunately for me, nobody wants an old pixel 2 that's bent/cracked at the antenna band. So full price for me if the pixel doesn't survive until a sale comes along!
I got my N20U a little over a week ago (my first Note ever, after always having the S Series), and I am in love with it! I actually really like the edge screen. I think it just looks better. I've never had any issues with accidental touches.
I was looking for this comment 🤣 like when I first heard i was like....maybe i miss heard him lol but then I remembered the vegeta and goku figures in the man cave and was like no I heard right lol
I know RUclipsrs seem to all hate curved screens but I love it. Have an S10+ and i appreciate and admire it every day. Never once in my life had accidental touches and the edge feature is useful for accessing shortcuts whilst in apps without having to reach up for the notification bar
I don't really use the S Pen too much either but... The S Pen is an awesome tool to give the kiddo and have them draw or even play some tic-tac-toe with! You will have some great times (more than I expected with my kids) with your little one with the Pen. Just ordered my Note20 to replace the Note10.
Nope. many people love the curved displays including me. It seems like only tech youtubers complain about it. I really hope samsung never discontinues using curved displays
Really wish reviewers would mention the AMAZING trade in Samsung has on their site. My wife traded in her 4 year old S7 Edge and got $300 off the S20, 6 months free of Spotify premium and 3 months RUclips TV ! No one has to pay full price for any Samsung phone they will take your old phone!
Curved screen is beautiful. I forget how much of a nuisance it is though. The acciental pressing even with Goodlock but even knowing that it is so beautiful I still buy it, and complain later.
DeX is already my computer (more than a year, for home and office work) but the wireless connection is amazing! You can basically run two systems at the same time! Now THAT'S multitasking! How could not the other reviews see that?
I have the Note 20 Ultra in White. SO clean. And I personally like the curved design. The edge lighting actually has uses as when the phone is laid down if its on silent you still see your notifications via the edge lighting. Also it just give you the most screen. Visually I think it looks amazing. I do have accidental touches here and there but I've gotten use to it.
To be honest, I don’t watch to know about the stuff he introduce. I only watch cause of his goofy personality which keep the mood light which is Super hhahahh
Whatup? So you mentioned the 120 hz display and the 4500 mAh battery. Coming from the Note 10+ with the 60 hz display and only slightly smaller battery at 4300 mAh, how would battery life between the two compare? Can you by chance do a comparison video between both with same usage to show what the battery life is for each?
Great review my brotha! As always. Nice ride! 😎👌🏾 I think this is the 1st review I’ve seen with the tv features shown. Thanks. I know I’m late, but I’m grabbing mine today. God Bless. Stay safe
I love my note 20 ultra however I just had to send it back for a new unit. There was a tiny opening between the camera housing and phone back. If you guys have one take a really close look around where the camera bump attaches to the back of the phone to make sure it's good. I pre-ordered mine so it mite of been the batch of phone I got not sure.

When I watched this video it led me to believe the screen would be really dark and I was worried it wouldn't be bright enough... I got my phone later that day on release and went to turn the brightness up and almost blinded myself. This screen is one of the brightest I've ever used and barely turn it up when inside. Also I love and use the curved screen. I will be so sad if they ever get rid of it. I've used it since the s7 edge and never have any issues with it.

Super nice review. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G offers pretty much every feature any phone owner could want. It has a gorgeous screen, classy hardware, wicked performance, good battery life, and capable cameras. It's also huge, heavy, and as pricey as they come 😎😎😎
the curved edge is nice in the hands and gives the screen a soft immersed look, however, as a daily s-pen user i absolutely hate it. i feel as though i cannot use 10% of the screen to because its difficult to write near the edges with the curve. in my opinion i think they should get rid of it on the note line. maybe keep it for the galaxy series since there is no s-pen therefore no need for precise screen input.

everyone first thought was it samsung forcing us to pay 1300$ Note 10 lite is almost the same as the note 20 except the camera look it up
I think the non ultra is just to make the ultra seem worth the price.
Remove that navigation bar at the bottom of your screen and replace it with gestures. Don't forget to remove the gesture hints
I actually love the curved edges, there's just something about it. Hopefully Samsung don't get rid of it
Not on at note bro.
the curved edge is nice in the hands and gives the screen a soft immersed look, however, as a daily s-pen user i absolutely hate it. i feel as though i cannot use 10% of the screen to because its difficult to write near the edges with the curve. in my opinion i think they should get rid of it on the note line. maybe keep it for the galaxy series since there is no s-pen therefore no need for precise screen input.
americans be earning $100k an year and think $1k phone is really expensive! if this phone cost 1/100 th of my salary I'd call it dirt cheap.
haha, the joke's on you man. Contrary to popular belief, not everybody makes that much money in this country. The average American makes around 40-50 thousand a year.
@@cedaze2484 I ain't talking about some joe who works in McD in MISSOURI, the guy in the video clearly doesn't earn 40k.
@@amitavamozumder73 he’s also not really an average consumer so he tries to provide that opinion for those of us who are
@@5thElementDFW still, in my country people go as high as their entire month's salary on a phone.
that's like $4k phone for someone who earns $50k. American will faint at the thought of that.
@@amitavamozumder73 so your trying to say that Americans earn 100K a year and you ain’t even in America youself?? I make about a 100K a year but I have to pay taxes, rent, bills, and to care for my family.
Great video, I just purchased one, Really looking forward to using it
