Also great for copying text or getting quick screenshots of certain areas of the screen. There's a lot of great uses for the pen ,but for me the best use is for photo editing 👍
The Note is used by people who work on the road: eg sales reps. It helps be productive without an office or when it is hard to use a laptop. The pen is used for: * Making notes during meetings * Jotting down an idea while sitting in a coffee shop * Drawing a diagram of a business structure * signing a PDF contract and then emailing it back * etc Love your work, keep it up.
@@UKYusei I still have my note 9 and don't see a reason to upgrade yet. I mean yeah the newer phones may run some games a bit better but not by much and most people cannot tell the resolution/display difference. I like the fold concept but I'm still waiting for the technology to be more robust I know I would break it.
For an engineer too. It works perfectly with many engineering softwares including Auto CAD and Solid Edge and it makes drawing much easier than using a mouse. It's great for productivity.

U mean trash as Samsung selling Exynos to the rest of the world, lowering the quality of their phones at the same price than the snapdragons in America
One of my favorite things about the pen, and it may sound silly, is hovering drop downs and getting to the stuff inside without just clicking open a new page.
It actually pisses me off the the 8865+ is a US only product. Samsung has a right cheek passing it's shit-chip to the ROTW. Why can't they be the same?
At this point, all I want is a phone with an awesome camera, all day battery life, 120hz display, processor that can handle some gaming/multitasking and not cost a quarter of what a used car would cost.
A quarter? I got a 2000 honda civic for $400 and drove it for a year. These phones are more then a used car. Were coming close to the yearly insurance cost
So here is what I got from this video Lew criticized everything thing of this phone until he inserted his sim card into it. Then he started appreciating the things.😂😂 So Sim card is the key to positivity 😂
I've been using my phone's for technical work for the past several years. I recently upgraded to a note 20 ultra 512 GB. I'm an aerospace welder/fabricator and I use the pen for making drawings. in addition the camera is really great for taking pictures of different objects to be developed or fabricated. Camera macro mode is great for inspecting welds. All Android devices as a general rule, you can hook up a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse simultaneously. The only issue with using that is is the phone must have home screen rotation and the note and most of the upper Samsung models do offer that. I use it as a PC on a 1080P or 4K television through casting. Your presentation is done very well without getting on my nerves like most of the other reviews. What I would like to see is is more demonstrations on using a keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse casting to a high resolution TV as a PC. Very few people are aware of that capability.
I use my Note 10 for school a lot, if a class is about over and I've already packed up. But the teacher is still giving info about assignments or whatever I'll use the always on screen to write that info down. Also I've written rough drafts of essays on my phone when I didn't have a computer around, and I just converted it from handwriting to text. At work during my meetings I'll use it as a straight up note pad.
I take class notes and when it is time to pack up for class I legit just get up and leave since I don't even open my bag pack anymore for writing utensils 🤭
Me too. I use artflow on my note for the majority of my insta doodles. I bought an ipad, the apple pencil (which is incredible) and procreate. £750 later i did a comission put it back in it's box where it still lives to this day.
I use my pen for ANY edits to my photos. You have more control and sharper precision... absolutely cannot live without the pen. Once you start using it, you can never go without it.
Lew, you can enable Android's gestures like the OnePlus in the settings. It's under Settings>Display>Navigation bar>choose Full screen gestures>you can then click on more options to specify which gesture system you want, the first is Samsung's and the second is Android's.
I've had the note 10 plus and I can say for sure that it was not the best display at the time, somehow oneplus 7t pro was better 🙄. Don't ask how, I don't do the specs. the note always felt too dim at max brightness with auto brightness turned off 🤔 don't know why
I've had a Note series phone for the last 5 years, rarely use the pen. Ever. Ive used it more on my 10 plus than any, only for selfies and even then thats only 5 times a year tops. I purchase the Note series for the performance and I have a bit of brand loyalty.
I started with the note 5 and then note 9 and now note 20 ultra 💜 I have always had the worst memory so I love the screen off memo of the pen and now I am a mother and having my grocery list and making packing lists with the pen is such a life saver. When I heard rumors that they were gunna stop making notes I legitimately cried because I don't know what I'm gunna do if they stop. I NEED my note 😅
I already use note apps in my smartphone even without pen. I can write on my laptop and tablet so I think the pen would be really useful since it's hard to bring my tablet/laptop everywhere. Things I would do with the pen are but not limited to: - take notes on appointments and tasks and set a reminder on them - draws/doodle when I'm boring - take notes in a talk/lecture/meeting - camera shutter - annotate/draw on files/website/pictures Basically try to use every features it has.
When I'm bored I play games and I love using the pen for games. Mostly I play word games and do crosswords when I'm waiting for an appointment. Super useful for tapping those small squares on the crosswords. I've had every Note and I have loved the S Pen since day 1. It somehow makes me happy that other people love it too. My Apple loving family just did not get it but I've gotten several of them using a Note now. My 83 year old granny even uses a Note but she doesn't know the word stylus... she calls it her "pecker". We get very odd looks when she's lost it in a public place and asks me if I've seen her pecker. Lol.
The pen doesnt do much but what it does do it does really well. Like when your on a phone call and someone says you got a pen and paper its just there. When explaining things to people through msgs you can underline and circle easily on top of that the penup thing is pretty fun to use. Ive used it a few times to take photos so nobody misses out its honestly just a joy to have.

I love having my note phones. My first brand new phone was a note 5 my boyfriend bought me because my s4 was expanding batteries. Then I got my current note 9 at launch after I jammed the lock button on my note 5 (I hated myself for that.) I'm still rocking my note 9, but I think the note 20 ultra is at the top of my Christmas list
I use the s-pen to select things that normally can't be selected. One example is that I bought a dresser from a seller through Facebook Messenger. When the seller sent me her address I realized that I could not select it with my finger. I pulled out my s-pen, used smart select, extracted the text, and instantly pasted it into a message to tell a friend where to pick up the furniture piece. I can also highlight select text that is not normally selectable. The s-pen also helps me to be more precise.
S pen 🖊 has saved my time and money and even my life during COVID when I don't have access to a printer to complete and sign pdf forms since I don't need to go out to UPS or Office Depot to get prints, I have the luxury of completing forms right on my phone with my own handwriting 😎
I opened up my note 20 ultra last night to start moving over to it from my note 10+, and the difference I saw between the two was *crazy* . I triple checked to make sure they were both on the same settings for the display, blue light filter, everything. And my note 10 looked so dark and dull compared to it. Don't even get me started on the satisfaction of 120hz 🤤😂
I got the Note 9 atm had note since note 4 ,can't wait for my ultra ,just can't decide on the colour mystic while looks nice and same with mystic black
That's what I did. Note's a better phone is almost every way. Only I thing I miss about iPhone is the "heft". Just feels slightly higher quality in the hand for some reason.
My pcs brand is baked potato that doesent have a windows tab with an rtx -69 And my phone is a nokia 3310 and dont ask how im watching this on it and a tab 1
I absolutely LOVE this phone. I switched from the Note 9 to this and its like moving from a decades old phone to the phone of the future. I love everything about it. This is the phone everyone has wanted for years and it is here now. Love this phone.
The meaning of Samsung is 3 stars, Sam=3 and Sung=Stars. They started with 3 stars logo. After a long time, they changed the logo to Galaxy (billions of stars) with S and G open, which represents they are open beyond Galaxy.
I moved away from the Note series a few years ago and have missed it ever since - just finally picked up the ultra myself and i am flat out impressed... love marking up photos and documents, taking quick notes and creating simple drawings to illustrate ideas and concepts to colleagues and friends without the need to break open a laptop... i'm in the STEM field as an applications engineer, so i think this appeals to folks in this genre more so than the mainstream... i tried the s8 after my last note and i could never get use to the size difference - was just too small - so i then went with the s10+ - better on size but still missed the stylus - now on the 20 note ultra i remember why i loved my old notes so much... Wish someone would come up with a case (hint hint) that took care of that "rocking" issue caused by the protruding camera assembly - not a fan of that - and i really don't like the cases that have been made to thicken the entire phone to mask the protrusion either - i might suggest a tapered case design that levels out the phone towards the top and better balances it when it's placed on it's back.. even if that was just widening the entire rise for the camera across the top of the phone - i line the way your new case for this phone fully protects the lens area - shame it doesn't also make it balanced... to each is own though, i suppose... great content as always!
Ive been a note user since i realized they existed. Which was Note 2 i believe. I went from the Samsung moment, to the samsung Epic 4g, and have had the Galaxy S2,3,4,5,6, and ive had the Note 2,3,4,5,8,9, and i have the Note 20 ultra 5g in the mail right now. The reason i always went with the note series over any other phone was because the note was almost always the highest spec'd, most powerful, most feature packed phone on the market. And the highest quality as far as build materials and design. I dont use the Stylus every single day, but i do use it a lot. I have the note 9 right now and i use the camera remote feature of the stylus all the time. and i use it for navigation sometimes and in games a lot. and i have my display DP set to 550 so everything is super small, giving me a ton of screen real estate so having the fine point of a stylus to do things is great. my big fat fingers arent as accurate as a stylus. especially when drawing or playing games with small icons and buttons. The stylus is a key feature of the note series and if they ever got rid of it ill be pissed. Maybe enough to not upgrade past the note 20. I told myself i wouldnt upgrade after the note 9 because of them removing the headphone jack and adding a hole punch camera, but i finally broke and upgraded. Not that i needed to, the note 9 is still a powerhouse and i absolutely love it. But my carrier offered to give me a note 20 ultra 5g for nothing down and only 2 dollars more a month than i was paying for my note 9. i couldnt turn that down.
I just bought this phone but I've used Note phones for years. I really like the pen for shopping lists, quick notes, reminders, pretty much anytime you find yourself looking for pen and paper, which for me is often.
It came with a super fast charger, 3 foot cable but no headphones, which is okay because I already had a set of Buds Live (the "beans"). So far, I love it! The camera is fantastic and the battery lasts me all day, even with constant use. The stylus is always at my fingertips and I get a lot of compliments on the Mystic Bronze color. It is a big phone (a must because I easily lose things) but it feels good in my small hands.
Me: oh cool that case looks like it could protect the glass covering the camera setup. Lew: No, it's just really cyber punk looking, you know? Really cool looking
For me it has taken my editing pictures and video capabilities to the next level. Also, I'm a heavy notes taker, and having the pen to write instead of my fingers gives me a lot more real state plus increased calligraphy aesthetics. To finish, my first language isn't English and with translating apps you have the choice of handwriting them which is much faster than typing, at least for me, and with the pen I can write longer words because of the thinness of the pen.

Also it's great for drawing on photos/blueprints, and I often use the s pen to take photos in hard to reach places. I've been a dedicated note user for years, if they ever lose the pen, they will lose me.

People don't realize how useful S-pen is because they haven't used it. That pen can extract text from places you can't even select. It's awesome.
most phone users are more media consumption than actually productivity.
@@denziiey that is true. However, if I am buying a high-end phone, I would want it to serve all my needs. I bought the Note 10+ last year and now I feel something is missing when I use other phones. * Jotting down an idea while sitting in a coffee shop
* Drawing a diagram of a business structure
* signing a PDF contract and then emailing it back

Do you use Note 20 Ultra? If yes, is it worth buying?
Note phones are #1 phones if you do not own one iam sorry for you cuz you are missing out on a great phone
They did stop the note though lmao
I already use note apps in my smartphone even without pen. I can write on my laptop and tablet so I think the pen would be really useful since it's hard to bring my tablet/laptop everywhere.
Things I would do with the pen are but not limited to:
- take notes on appointments and tasks and set a reminder on them
- draws/doodle when I'm boring
- take notes in a talk/lecture/meeting
- camera shutter
- annotate/draw on files/website/pictures
Basically try to use every features it has.
Lol.
Who else remember that once upon a time that pocco phone switching never happened??

The pen doesnt do much but what it does do it does really well. Like when your on a phone call and someone says you got a pen and paper its just there. When explaining things to people through msgs you can underline and circle easily on top of that the penup thing is pretty fun to use. Ive used it a few times to take photos so nobody misses out its honestly just a joy to have.

Awesome 👌no more pens in my hair.
How is it so far? Did it come with charger and ear phones or did you buy those separate?
It came with a super fast charger, 3 foot cable but no headphones, which is okay because I already had a set of Buds Live (the "beans"). So far, I love it! The camera is fantastic and the battery lasts me all day, even with constant use. The stylus is always at my fingertips and I get a lot of compliments on the Mystic Bronze color. It is a big phone (a must because I easily lose things) but it feels good in my small hands.
I find pens more useful whenever you edit anything on your phone
Me: oh cool that case looks like it could protect the glass covering the camera setup.
Lew: No, it's just really cyber punk looking, you know? Really cool looking
For me it has taken my editing pictures and video capabilities to the next level. Also, I'm a heavy notes taker, and having the pen to write instead of my fingers gives me a lot more real state plus increased calligraphy aesthetics. To finish, my first language isn't English and with translating apps you have the choice of handwriting them which is much faster than typing, at least for me, and with the pen I can write longer words because of the thinness of the pen.
My s9 serve me well since released, I will switch to the Note 20 Ultra at the end of this month.
Im super excited to buy this 5 years from now
