I’ll never forget the first time my friends and I saw this in theaters. That part when the security guard was screaming and they zoomed out to show how slow Austin and Vanessa were moving toward him, the whole theater was laughing their asses off 🤣 😂
The counselor is Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia
No disrespect to Major intended but I did notice he didn't mention that in the reaction. Maybe he did in the full version. I can't say for certain. Not here to judge by the way. Popcorn In Bed watched the first film about two months ago and didn't commentate on that either. Post-SW I only personally ever saw her in small cameos like this: Scream 3, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Wonderland and Sorority Row. Her final role is playing a witch in Wonderwell that was delayed because of the pandemic that came out this past June.
Scott Evil was played by Seth Green, known for the roles of Richie Tozier in the IT TV mini Series, Buffy TV series, That 70's Show, Robot Chicken, Without a Paddle, and the voice of Chris Griffin in Family Guy.
Yep, you’re right. Major got him mixed up with David Faustino, and the show he was thinking of was Married with Children

When we moved to TX, we had to live in my brother's house until we found a new place. My nieces loved all 3 movies so much that we had to watch it at least once every week for 9 months straight. I can recite every single word.
“He’s Austin Powers it!” Became a reference for when some gets stuck driving in a strange way, my sister did it once, still no idea how she did it

Fun Fact: Mike Myers originally wanted Jim Carrey to play Dr. Evil, but Carrey eventually passed due to scheduling conflicts with Liar Liar (1997). Myers then took the iconic role himself.
Happenstance, Coincidence, Enemy Action Fact: Dr. Evil's appearance (bald head, gray suit, scar over his eye, cat on his lap) is based on James Bond's archnemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld portrayed by Donald Pleasence in You Only Live Twice (1967). Ironically, Pleasance was the star of the Halloween franchise where his archnemesis was named Michael Myers.
Real Life Supervillian Fact: Joe Son, the actor who played Random Task, is serving a lifetime prison sentence for the torture of a 19-year-old woman in 1990. He went uncaptured until 2008 when a DNA match linked him to the crime. According to the victim, she unknowingly had a copy of this movie in her home until her attacker's identity was revealed. In 2017, he was sentenced to an additional 27 years for murdering his cellmate.

I don't recall Seth Green being in a sitcom. He was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he co created Robot Chicken.
He was in Dads with Giovanni Ribisi. They were best friends whose fathers come to live with them. Just one season but I liked it.

This was released on May 2nd 97 so the Prince Charles and Princess Diana joke was brilliant. Unfortunately when August 97 came, we lost a lovely figure❤❤😢😢

The villain with a cat started in James Bond movies. There is a villain named Blofield.
Those little musical skits between scenes are from the variety show, Laugh In. Late 60's early 70's..? Where a young Goldie Hawn got her start dancing to music, usually in a bikini.
So happy to see this man! Probably my favorite comedy movie ever is the 2nd one, I love all three.

If you aren't familiar with early James Bond, the '60s British 'Invasion' with Beatlemania, Mod fashion, TV shows like Laugh-In with their 'hip' dancing-painted-bikini-girl interludes, and Lancelot Link; Secret Chimp (and his undercover psychedelic band) - you may not really 'get' some of these.
This was the first movie Will Ferrell ever appeared in lol. Before this it was stand up and he was on some shows, with a few SNL stints up to this point.

Inspector Gadget had an evil guy with a cat, they never showed his face. Dr. Evil also hid his face in the beginning, plus the cat.
True but Dr. Evil was inspired by Ernst Blofeld from James Bond. They look identical and have the same white Persian cat.
