I remember nearly 10 years ago.. it was difficult to try to show some of these cats I was around.. in the metal genre .. friends etc.. the magnitude of his playing and writing.. I was in awe from the start.. all we had were low quality live Danza and GC videos and the rouge Danza 3 tracking clips of him tearing through 12-21-12… and low and behold here he is, a master of his craft.. flexing at the highest quality.. much love JT.
"Paul Bunyan and the Blue Ox" showed up in my RUclips recommended in 2012/2013 and I knew something was up, this was special, some of the most hauntingly dark and heavy shit I had ever heard, I ended up listening to the whole album and then buying it and listening to it on repeat for a while.
11 years have passed since the release of the album Alpha - Omega. And even today in 2023, this album is a real unsurpassed masterpiece. One of the best metal albums ever made on this planet.
The fact that he clearly still has so much fun playing these songs is such a testament to the material Danza blessed us with🤌🏾 All us old djent kids forever holding on to the dream that we'll see this stuff played live~
I love Josh Travis, he's one of the most underrated guitarists of all time, like sure technicality and solos are great, but Josh makes something special and unique and everything he makes is just gold. I love his Twitch, it really helps to display his amazing talent and kindness. If you're new to Josh Travis, stay around, he will blow your mind.
Honestly this kinda shit in a lot of ways is way harder to do then any type of old school shredding you can hear. The rhythmic precision is in a masterclass of its own
You should not. Just support ur favorite artists with money so they could afford doing it and not just survive. Everything stops not having sponsorship.
Check out psyopus and even GAZA and tell me if you think those bands are similar i personally do but am curious if other people consider that the same as danza and Josh's style.
Damn to be honest not sure but because I can see he's not pushing the whammy down or pulling the floating bridge up, I'd imagine that its 1. a pedal like the Digitech Whammy... but I'd suspect more likely that its an expression pedal straight to his Axe-FX programmed to pitch shit / octave down or 2. its a pregrogrammed sound in this situation
@@acidNject But it sounds so fucking massive dude! From what I figured hes tuned to F but that shit sounds below B0, thats why i thought maybe its a weird technique I don't know correct me if im wrong :O
Definition of your favorite guitarist’s favorite guitarist
abasi better
Abasi >>>>>
Yup, basically inspired to play the way I play as a whole.
@@bapewizard abasi is a great guitarist but he is not your favorite guitarist's favorite guitarist. He is boring and predictable.

My cats around still don't get it. Not JT and not even me, and my stuff is far more simple than JT's ruclips.net/video/iIeOEExas_s/видео.html 🤷♂️

It's my go to album for the gym still to this day.
Checked and seconded. Miss Josh's Danza so fucking much.
I agree. It really does hold up. Glass Cloud's firdt record could have been just as good... it wasnt but its still great though

I saw Danza once. Mind blowing experience
Danza was quiet the experience caught them 3 or 4 times with Josh once before Josh joined those shows GOT MAD! Really great time in music
I saw danza, IWABO, Ion Dissonance at the annex in toronto. Right when Danza 3 dropped. I still have my chug life shirt.
danza is not djent come on

He’s a very nice dude for sure and he does is own thing which is refreshing.

@@charizardmaster13i can easily do it on imaginary guitar, but not on real😂
Ohhh I miss Danza.
Its really almost intimidating to watch you play man. Its unbelevable how cleanly you play these crazy, one of a kind parts.
13:12 ahh music to my ears, hard to saw why this makes me so happy
Yo man thank you for uploading these, Josh is the fucking man and so chill. I enjoy watching these haha especially for how crazy they sound
I still have my Chug Life O Yea Danza shirt
Our musical tastes don't always align, but I dig your positive energy. Keeps me watching.
I love letting these play at work
You are phenomenal i wiiiiish that I had your gear and your extraordinary skillset on that guitar
cant beleive how flawless the GC track was
Virtuoso guitar playing. Legit.
Josh Travis is the biggest influence on my playing probably ever.
This is gold!
id sacrifice a limb of their choosing to see danza live.

Already own every piece of physical media I could get my hands on. 👊
“I’m not touching anything cuz I’ll break it” I can confirm
How is he so clean with it tho
hes got the shine

Thanks a lot man !! 🙂
You forgot to include hold the line 13:00
When Alpha hit ohhhhhh boy did it get hot in here

Hold the line 😱
Damn, I need to catch one of these streams.
Is the intro some hidden song ?

What’s your signal chain and the effects for the sweep part? I’m obsessed
What guitar is that you play? Baritone or eight stringer??
I want to hear this guitar DI

печально что даже подобной группы нету которая хоть немного могла бы подобраться к Тони Данзы
Glass cloud, emmure образца 2017 и 2020

Go listen to your skinhead metal bands slav😂
Check out psyopus and even GAZA and tell me if you think those bands are similar i personally do but am curious if other people consider that the same as danza and Josh's style.
this is not live guitar ?

It’s a light palm mute! So simple but so good. He does it in songs like hold the line too. My favorite parts tbh. Make ya go apeshit

Danza is drop E. First GC album is mainly F or F# one of the two. And the second GC is A on a 9 string. Super low
@@acidNject royal thousand is fcgcfgae and some double drop d tuning
