Great video, buddy. My town car is a 2006. I, too, have had a jmod done. Also changed out my exhaust piping from 2inch piping to 2 1/2 piping and went with a X pipe instead of the standard H pipe. I also have a roush axle back exhaust. I have a jmschip by pedalmax. Man that jmschip alone wakes up the whole car. I recently changed out my whole air box for a P71 air inbox. It sounds better and response better now. I just want to do 2 more mods 1 long tube headers. Just not sure what brand to go with. And 2 I want to get a marty tune done.
Nah, if I had to pick top 3 mods: 1. Fully connected Android Tablet instead of Casette Player, wired to ----> OBD2CAN system for information, "race mode", traction control, etc. 2. Mustang or F150 Transmission (probably manual but Auto works fine), likely with custom gearing. Or a JMOD with custom gearing... 3. Upgraded cooling system because that's a weak point on the car. Of course I'm assuming it already has heated seats, which are also a must.
You could also adjust your gearing. I have no experience with J-Mod. However, if I was swapping the tranny on a Panther, why not pick a Mustang or F150 engine? I know the stock 4-speed is comfortably smooth, but I've always thought of it as unathletic. I suppose that's what J-Mod is for. Also, does J-Mod hurt your transmission over the long term?
@@fyodorberkovich8247 The 4R70W thats in the Mustang and the F150 is the same as in the Crown vic and Towncar. The j mod makes it a firmer shifting transmission. I am not an automatic transmission expert but the from what I have heard and understand the transmission that is smooth and you do not feel the shift actually puts more wear on the the clutch bands because the transition between 1-2 is longer the clutches are allowed to slip more to cushion the shift. A firmer shift or quicker shift will wear less clutch material. As far as if the J mod affects long term life of the transmission its hard to say since someone J modding their transmission is probably not driving it like grandma going to church on Sunday.
Hey bro, Ford Enthusiast here. I have a few questions and remarks. First of all, the Canshift and Sprint Booster seem to be sold out. Now on to the questions: 1. Where did you get those gauges on the side, and was it easy to install them? Panthers don't have tachometers, so I want one installed aftermarket. 2. Is it easy to hook up an Android Tablet to the Panther OBD2CAN? Have you tried this at all? I just want realtime engine data on a built-in tablet. 3. Do you know the ECU shift encoding so I can hook up a custom paddle shifter? What about the Gas pedal sensitivity?
Working on my 03 pi vic, I had no idea I could make the stock TB more aggressive! I was considering adding a 78mm bbk to it, along with a marty tune. I already have a better flowing exhaust after the primary cats (also gutted the primaries.) Looking into getting some long tubes but I also REALLY want to forced induction it with either a pro charger or a turbo/dual turbo. But I don't really want to rip the motor out ... again.. just looking for some stock fun with some bolt on mostly. I am looking into another 4.6 2v for building later on. But this can shift, sprint and jmod looks like a lot of fun!
Love your car and ive seen all of youre panther videos I recently bought a S/C for my car I also bought the cams and lifters but cant find the timing nor the rocker for it i also wanted to ask what im i missing It might seem like a drag for u but ive been wanting to mod my lincoln for over a year this is my second one but its a dream Thanks and keep us in check with yours
Used to have respect for this channel BUT I NEVER EVER heard the engine noise in my Town Car...do this Dennis Reinhart magic on a Crown Vic or a Marauder...

The holy trinity imo would be a marty tune, the canshift and the jmod, I had those on my 2010 when I tested the canshift
Can I run all three at the same time ?
@@tamajahdeshields6706 yeah
I did cam/headers and get a Marty tune... Those paddles though

The J mod does make it feel like a different car. After I had my trans rebuilt with the J mod it chirps the tires going from 1-2 with street tires
Mine too

@@mrelectron6220 I totally might do that to my vehicle if I get another Panther body.

Dual fuzz busters and a tattle-tell cam. Sorry, the combo makes me laugh. 🤣

I probably need to do a J mod to one of my Vics
Very cool upgrades
Thanks and thanks for watching
That moment when I show up to this video and realize that I can't do two of these because my Crown Victoria is manual swapped lol
Is sprinter going to work on the grand marquis? Website lists 3 Mercury's, not 08 grand marquis?
I dunno, my '11 P7B seems just as responsive on corn squeezings.
