M Cron Having trained with Ubl Sensei, I am somewhat familiar with his teaching style and also how he performs technique and demonstrates technique. All I know is that I see his influence in Guy Sensei. The way he demonstrates, the way he explains multiple applications depending on circumstance, it all felt very familiar despite the fact that I have never trained with Guy Sensei before.
Guy has trained a lot with Sensei Ubl. Last I knew, he was going to Sensei Ubl's dojo a couple of times a year to train with him. Sensei Ubl was also going to Canada to teach seminars for Guy's organization.

I absolutely love what I'm seeing and hearing here. IMHO this is the sort of kata application that karate students need to be taught.
