I bought one and I love it my only concern is that the parts where you fill the mattress those look like they may break over time.
This is great! I’m 5’7” and sleep comfortably with one side inflated. My guess is that anyone 5’8” or taller would have to curl up a bit. This is the only time being a short guy has ever paid off!😊

Me like that , but 2004 are different when folding upward , me thinking of taking the rear seat and seatbelts out for good , took my third rows seat and seatbelts out already , don’t need them , because I don’t like carry other peoples in the back seats area! Now, I wonder 💭 what year luno bed would look 👀 good ? 🤔

I saw this on an ad somewhere and was wondering if it worked on 4Runners without the sliding tray. Glad you cleared that up for me. I’m assuming you have to curl up a little bit when the rear door is closed too?

I was looking for a camping spot today in VA and hoping not to have to put up a tent. I was told that car camping is not allowed, that even vans have to have some kind of certification. Is this just a VA thing? Anyone know? I have a 4 Runner.
I noticed your feet were hanging out, you can't close the back hatch and lay down stretched out? I want to get this but I'm gonna need to be able to close the back for winter time trips. Im thinking maybe sleep diagonal on it so it can be closed? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I go with the AirBedz Lite (PPI PV203C). It's all one piece, fills from the end where 4runner's power outlet is.
Then you couldn't fold it and have the option for only half unfortunately

@@tksirius it’s not uncommon for 4Runner owners to sleep on one side due to refrigerators and gear. It’s no bigger than laying in a sleeping bag either.

I am curious about this product, but in my exerience most airmatresses loose alot of air overnight or in cold weather. It would be good to know what their return policy is if you aren't impressed with its performance. Also how tall is the matress?
I know this is an old comment, but I have this for my subaru and have camped in cold weather with it, and it does not lose air at all, but it does suck big time in cold weather since there's no insulation.

This is absolutely perfect! However, $279 is ridiculous. I can get a yoho bed for less. Great concept…just not affordable.
I get that. Definitely better than a $4K roof top tent for sure still. This is crazy durable though and super thick. More details in the article as well

An FJ is quite a bit shorter. Get dimensions off website and measure i guess

You will need to curl up. I'm 5'11'' and I touch.
If you remove the back seats, you have a ton of more room, especially if you move the passenger seat forward. I made a custom bed and I have a ton of room doing this.

Some people opt to build their own platform out of wood. Others prefer to use a thicker blanket or foam pad to level out the rear cargo surface

I'm 6'2" & have the same question. From just laying down in the back, I don't think the 4Runner is long enough.

I spent $20 on Amazon for a standard size twin mattress. It fits perfect in the width. Just doesn’t curve around the wheel well by the rear doors.I like how this one allows you to only inflate one side… but not for an extra $259

@@TRDJon your right, they do ! Hit the wrong button for the third row seats , I removed them for good and gonna remove the rear seats for good also , so the whole back area will be cover with the air mattress!

Well as I can see, you can't sleep on either side because it's not long enough !!! Better to remove one side of the rear seat and move forward the front passenger seat, so you can have a removable platform that can support your body long enough and be comfortable.
To bad they don’t make one for a 4th Gen 4runner 😞

I did the recommended inflate for 48 hours for new mattresses without using them. Plugs well secured. They deflated within 24 hours. : (

I mean it’s vehicle specific. So it’s the length of your 4Runner with the seats folded down
