    Thanks for this video, you helped me realize I don’t need a $350 Luno mattress. I can just unscrew 4 bolts and remove the rear seat to fit a regular $30 twin mattress and I’ll have more head room 👍🏼

      Grab some beach balls or equivalent to help with the gap 🙏🏻

    If you have the 3rd row seating option then the 2nd row folds down differently allowing a flat(ish) area all the way to the back of the front seats. then you can move the front seats forward for even more length. For either option a piece of 2" foamboard can help fill in the lower area in the back for a flatter rest.

    Late to the game on watching this video, but great content!!! Just purchased an off-road premium and looking at different options for car camping as I’m also a photographer (based in AZ). Question for you, what do you do with all of your stuff when you’re car camping? Especially your camera gear? Do you somehow shove all your gear on the front seats to keep it safe or do you secure it up on the roof rack? Where do you store your food? Or is there some sort of a secure solution that’s outside the vehicle and on the ground while you’re sleeping? Thanks!

    Good reason to sleep inside the 4Runner over rooftop tent? You don’t get eaten by bears or be dragged outta your comfy tent by crazy cultists

    Great video. Very informative and well done. Which roof rack do you have? Did you do a video on that as well?

    I think im gonna buy this, ive been camping in a tent with my son and i'm always concerned that a couger, bear or nutbag can get us. I looked those sleeping platforms inside the 4Runner but need more space lol. Great video, thank you!

    How does it feel with the hump present in our 4runners without the sliding tray?

    • @4runnerlifestyle
      @4runnerlifestyle  Год назад

      Really good question! In the one in this video the hump is really only about a 1 inch at most slope that I really haven't noticed, I assume that's what you mean right? where the rear seats end and the cargo area starts. I would assume they're designed specifically for the 4R's that don't have the sliding tray, and the guys who do have the tray probably have to build some form of platform to get it level... but I haven't tried it in one with one with a sliding tray .

    • @vic8315
      @vic8315 Год назад +1

      @@4runnerlifestyle yep exactly that. I find that it's in such an odd position that I feel it digging into my lower back with my current sleeping mat. Luckily my foldable table is my "platform", haha.

      @@vic8315 ah yes I know what you mean with a mats you do get that quite a bit, double checking I guess it is intended to be used with the cargo tray which I didn't realize, I guess the shape sort of conforms enough I haven't had an issue with it so far even noticed that honestly. That is a really good thing to note though I hadn't thought of, That lip can be so uncomfortable in some situations with mats etc.

      You don’t feel it with this mattress, but you do slide down all night and this mattress isn’t that comfortable for what the cost is.

    Does this matress level the surface?
    My 4runner doesnt have a tray or 3rd row

      This is my concern. Not once does it talk about that in all 17 minutes, and there is only one trim not specific to whether you have 3rd row seating or not.

    2" difference in length? More like 8" difference in length between the Luno and Walmart special. Sorry not trying to be a nit picker but trying to be realistic.

      Usually guys are trying to say that 2 inches are 8. Not this guy. He’s secure enough in his manhood to be like “don’t be scared, it’s only 2 inches”.
