I honestly think "Fire cannot kill a dragon" is the first truly GREAT moment of the show. Because not only is it super-satisfying to see Viserys get what he deserves, it's also the moment that it clicks for the audience about Dany being resistant to fire (the true dragon in some mystical sense), and it's also the moment of Dany truly stepping into her power and not apologizing for it. Such a simple quiet moment, yet it feels like something huge has shifted.
^ I think they’re fire resistant but they’re not completely immune to it unless they use more magical means, it’s a myth that they tell others that fire can’t kill them. At least if you go by the books.
All Targaryen are heat resistant, the problem is that they're not immune to it and much less to fire so they can die from that, the difference with Danny is that (in the show, not in the books) she's fireproof.

Remember that Sansa is only 13 years old and has been sheltered to the point of complete naïveté. She absolutely can be a brat, but she gets such little grace from the fandom for her mistakes. People forget she is just a child who is being manipulated by the adults around her.
Sansa defender until my last breath. I always loved her even from season 1, when I saw so much Sansa hate online and within the fandom it made me,e so upset. All of her decisions are more than understandable but they have zero understanding and want her to act outside of the universe and upbringing simply because Arya doesn’t ascribe to the norm.

I think from a numbers perspective this would be a fantastic series to do in its entirety. It's literally the most watched show of all time, it was an ENORMOUS cultural phenomenon, so the potential audience is huge. The whole series has MANY shocking, reaction-worthy moments, so you'll definitely have people who keep coming back again and again throughout the series. And people forget that Game of Thrones (a certain episode in particular - no spoilers) pretty much birthed the entire world of RUclips reaction videos. Literally. This whole reaction community, all of these people on all of these channels doing all of these series... none of it existed like this before then. A bunch of book readers knew a shocking thing was about to happen, secretly filmed their friends, it became a trend, people realized the potential, and reaction channels EXPLODED in numbers and popularity. So crazy to think about!

When Danny says “these are my people” she’s talking as though they are hers to lead and protect, she identifies WITH them. When visarys says “these are my people” he’s being possessive. He owns them.
"His mare was in heat, what does that mean?"....it means the Mountains horse (obvs a stallion) was very unsettled, distracted & not listening to the Mountains commands/cues, thanks to the mare....hence the Mountain lost that joust...
Regarding the dragon eggs, in case anyone watching doesn't know about the state of the dragon eggs/dragons at this point. All the dragons died or were killed off back when the mad king was overthrown and killed during the rebellion when Robert became king. In addition to losing them in war, at that time there were still only very few left, and were getting smaller and sicklier due to all the years of breeding, etc. Tyrion says at one point that the last of the dragons were as small as dogs... The eggs Daneryes have were a wedding gift. The eggs she gets are somehow preserved and are essentially mummified and/or turned into "stone." Dany's eggs are supposed to be a memento/keepsake (or whatever u want to call it) and have no reason to hatch. But she is immensely drawn and fascinated with them as they are part of her family's history and so rare.
I love the theories that come up. All the while I'm like 'my sweet summer child, you are still too pure for this', and then keep watching until we get to the theorized part. Plus, some assumptions are very spot on, good job!

In the book, Khal Drogo actually dropped the cauldron on top of Viserys' head, and Martin wrote that his screaming echoed inside of the pot. This was more visceral and more #deserving
The woman the king loved (Ned's sister) was kidnapped by Daenerys and Viserys's older brother (he died in war already and during that time so did she), that combined with what the mad king (Daenerys's dad) was doing put Robert, Ned and many many more in their way to take the throne, that's why they hate the Targaryen and want all of them dead and want to avoid a war with them coming back with an army to try take the throne back. The dothraki have nothing to do with that story, they're just related and relevant now bc they became a possible army for the Targaryen siblings to go for the throne.

Oh my - I am loving your reactions to this show! It reminds me of when friends made me watch it back in the day and how confusing it can be but eventually I got hooked. This show is a masterclass at world building compared to others but it's still so freaking dense. You far into it but if you ever need a funny catchup, the honest trailers for this series are hilarious!
The map with the bopping song really helps once you catch on to the house sigils. Lots of things this show does well but it is rough early on. Tyrion is clearly a high point! Peter Dinklage kicks it in the d*ck all the time!

Also, everytime an animal gets killed on this show, my heart hurts a little, like keep your swords and blades away from all direwolfs, horses and others! I hope you'll continue watching the seasons after season 1, as season 1-5 are some of the best television content ever, in my opinion. Regarding Viserys being killed: he DESERVES ITT haha. Oh my - I am loving your reactions to this show! It reminds me of when friends made me watch it back in the day and how confusing it can be but eventually I got hooked. This show is a masterclass at world building compared to others but it's still so freaking dense. You far into it but if you ever need a funny catchup, the honest trailers for this series are hilarious!
The map with the bopping song really helps once you catch on to the house sigils. Lots of things this show does well but it is rough early on. Tyrion is clearly a high point! Peter Dinklage kicks it in the d*ck all the time!
