Product information
The Men's Valiance jacket from Rab is a waterproof down filled jacket built with a taped Pertex Shield outer and filled with recycled 700FP down. Warm and windproof this jacket will withstand cold, rough weather with boxwall construction for optimised down lofting and insulation.

Thanks for the video! How would you assess the Valiance as a winter jacket for city wear in Helsinki? Should not be too cold at -20°C with proper layer underneath and not be too warm for 0°C with a light shirt. Can't decide between the Infinity and the Valiance, but I like the sturdy exterior of the Valiance.

Abdullah - Hi, I am VERY jealous of your casual walking round Helsinki, I was always much further north than there so never got to visit outside the airport. In my experience the dry cold there is much more amenable so the Valiance would be a good choice! Thanks, Tom

Have been using this jacket here in Oslo. I must say that this holds up pretty good in extreme winters but below -7C I will recommend a fleece underneath or a wool liner. Not as warm as Yupik Parka from Fjallraven. I have been in -20C with layering under, was warm enough. At 0C , I will not recommend as per my experience it's a bit too warm even with just a t-shirt under, a normal person will sweat fast while walking in 0C. :)

Why do the front pocket zips just have ties at the end unlike the other zips on the jacket, which are more robustly secured? Thanks

Hi Ruth, good question. I think a lot of it comes down to weight on the pullers and how they might bounce around in high winds, flappy and noisy are not what you want in a jacket zip puller! If you're wearing it as a top layer though and want added purchase for using with gloves etc it may be worth getting (or making) some beefier ones for specific purposes, rather than general life which I think this jacket excels at! Abi sehir icin iyi diyorlar ve muhtemelen -15°C problemsiz giyinebilirsin. Gecen Rab Batura ceketini denemistim, bence cok fena sicakti. Anca kis günp Kars'da giyinilir. Sehir icin Valiance galiba en iyisi

Ben kamp için aldım ancak şehir içinde de kullanıyorum. Hareket halinde terletme yapabiliyor. Daha soğuk illerde kullanılabilir. Rüzgar geçirmezliği gayet iyi o yüzden bence -15, -20 lere kadar idare eder.

@@sevdamztcdd4472 İki senedir kullanıyorum, şu ana kadar hiç su geçirmedi. 10.000mm su geçirmezliği var diyor sitesinde. 3-4 saatlik yoğun yağmurda kullanmıştım 1 kere ve ıslanmadı. Ötesine yorum yapamam. Tüm gün kar yağışı altında kayak yaparken kullandım içi terden ıslandı dışı ıslanmadı. Dediğim gibi hareketli bir aktivite için pek uygun bir mont değil. Beğendiğim yanları; kolları çok rahat ve mont hafif olduğu için üzerinizde yokmuş gibi hissettiriyor. Sırt kısmı biraz daha uzun, oturunca çömelince beliniz açıkta kalmıyor. Sıkıştırma çantası ile birlikte geliyor, su geçirmezliğini göz önünde bulundurursak bence sıkıştırıldığında az yer kaplıyor. Tek eksisi teri dışarı atamaması.
