Number three is how I think of my husbands grandparents. They don’t see many advertisements and they just exist in a state of mostly having what they need and not feeling like they need anything more unless something they use runs out. It seems like a very calm life and that’s what I aspire to.
Your voice is so calming. Yes, years ago we downsized to an 800st house. We live by the rule, "something new in, then something old must go out." It works very well for us. We are content.
Agree with you on all points. ESPECIALLY the one about using an item until it's death, so to speak. I do that with pretty much everything. It seems like a waste to not do it that way.
Since today is Earth Day, how about considering what all your needless purchases do to help destroy the world's resources. Buy your needs, not wants. Save the Earth and your money.
