Thanks for sharing. I understand the love of baggy clothes! There is something cozy about them. Those pants you have look amazing, I'm curious what are they?
It is amazing how much our mindsets are the same, especially considering our age difference. (I am 78 but still full of spunk!) The only thing I do differently is with books. I use my library for all books and never have to pay a cent. I just wish more people did not adhere to needless and mindless shopping. It is so bad for the Earth.
I no longer buy books for the long run. I will only buy a $1 or $2 book at a thrift store. I immediately read it and then re-donate it. But mostly just borrow from my library. Just sold my bookcase. Much happier.
Hi Lyndsay. So on point again. I love the line about honesty and also new hobbies and buying everything. I am trying something a bit rad this week. I just came up with this concept but....Before I think of purchasing anything I say to myself, 'Is this necessary for my survival'. Wow just try this for a week. It is mind blowing. It cuts to the core like nothing else. When you buy a bottle of water you actually think..'Justify this'. Maybe another video topic but man it makes you think. Very powerful. I wish you well.
Another excellent video, my friend! Thank you again for your sage and wise wisdom to help guide us through our own minimalism journeys! I'm so glad you are feeling better from the small flu bug you mentioned! Take care and stay well!!! 😊
Thank you so much Mary! And you are so welcome! It’s great to feel better after being sick… so much easier to appreciate just feeling good. Hope you’re doing well too 🙂
I totally resonated with all your points and try to implement them too. The hobbies made me laugh, because I have to improve on that, but the way you describe it makes so much sense and it made me realize what I need to change ❤
I'm so glad I stayed to the end. I've been struggling with the desire to try a new hobby- longboarding. I don't know anywhere I can borrow a board to try it out, so I have been waiting to see if the desire to try it goes away. It's been a month or so, and I'm still interested, so I might take the plunge and go to my local skate shop soon, maybe just to chat and look at first. But making this decision while also not wanting to financially jump into a new hobby that might not stick has been really tough!
That is so sensible. Even just to take a bit of time before you dive in, I think it helps so much. When I started climbing a year ago, I thought about it for a while too. I bought the gear slowly... And I must say, it has been my biggest passion and joy for the last year. I think you're doing it the right way. I hope that visit goes well! No harm in getting some more info and a better feel for it! Have a great day!
Subbed! I love a good baggy clothing item! I also buy tight clothing and then always reach for the baggy stuff I love your pants and found the link to the shop, it's super fun and thank you! I feel like we're living in a skinny fit world and us loose fitting clothing loving people are the odd people out lol! I totally agree with the hobby issue. I am guilty of mass buying only to not totally click with it and feel horrible after. I recommend trying local community classes where they list either a small fee (if not free) and what you need to bring to class to experiment. My coworker loves crochet but is guilty of too many projects, her local community center has a biweekly get together for crafters to sit, chat and work on hobbies for free. She's already completed 2 projects and is totally enjoying it. So definitely think out side of the box.
Thank you! A fellow baggy clothes lover :) And those ideas for getting a chance to try something new with less investment are absolutely awesome. It's all about thinking outside the box! Thanks :)
I utilize the library for books but I'm kind of warming up to the idea of getting a kindle. Thanks for the video. Would you share the brand name of the pants that you're wearing? They look comfortable.
Yes, I do love libraries! In Canada I can take out library books on my kobo too with the Libby app. The pants are from meals.clothing/ and they are really are comfy. And thanks for your support :)
So happy to have found your channel. Your videos are calming and inspiring.
Thank you so much! 🙂
The way you present your information is very impacting. Your voice, the speed you speak and the music you play are so soothing.

What a great, informative video!!

That is such a good way to keep books in your life... without them taking over your home! I'm so glad to hear it's working for you :)

I am so glad to hear… I’m with you on the hobbies one. It’s hard! Glad it helped though 🙂

Fantastic video. Thankyou. Whilst I can't get rid of all my paper books (I love the smell of pages!), I have significantly reduced what I have.
Thanks so much! And I understand that... there is something special about that smell :)
