Ralph & Russo collections are always consistently elegant, beautifully sewn garments featuring fabulous fabrics.... They are experts at the evening gowns... I would love to see what they would do with suits, blouses, and even casual wear.
sure there are only so many ways to reinvent the "dress," but the craftsmanship, tailoring, design, embroidery, silhouettes, colors and fabric choices make this collection a STUNNING one! Every attention catered down to the models having same hair styles. Simply beautiful! Well done!
Never disappointed..it always makes me super excited to watching Ralph & Russo, Brandon Maxwel, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera and Valentino shows... ❤💗 but there is a tiny, a little problem that i've got is: I'M A SUPER BROKE AF MAAAN..;)))😂😂
The honour and joy that I would feel to be able to say that I actually attended a show like this would be past words. This collection is classical with touches of modernity. The aura and the vibe that I’m getting is ethereal with a touch of old Hollywood glamour. To me the dress that comes down the runway @2:35 is the personification of what liquid fire would like if someone was to capture its’ essence in a dress. The beading, the needlework, the embroidery are simply out of this world and thus the detailing is phenomenal. Expertly placed embroidery that does not in any way shape or form weight down the dresses but instead provokes the eye to follow the continuity of the garment itself. All in all a magnificent show that I will always look forward to at Paris Couture Fashion Week.
Stunning collection! My favorite show so far. Personally I would have liked to have seen less of the strapless structured top (not my favorite). The second one down the runway was my favorite piece, a total a show stopper.
OMG! So beautiful, wonderful show, I'm imagining an aesthetic similar to some looks of this fashion show at CHANEL's Haute Couture, as well as some of the HC collection from Fendi FW 2016/17, in the future after Karl, would be interesting.
Nice to see a runway show of dresses real (rich) women could actually wear. Fabrics and tailoring to die for. I agree with others below regarding the Chanel similarities - is this an application to the house?
Some of this may be derivative but there's an understated elegance and wearability in all of this that probably sells a lot more than any of Alexander Mc Queen's or Galiano's admittedly creative but over the top designs.
I see a little Valli, Elie Saab, Givenchy, even Lanvin in the green silken dress, and even more designers. A whole lot of the pieces, if not all, were very pleasing to the eyes. It was a great couture show, but with this one, it felt it was not cohesive, at all. There felt like there was not a connection with the pieces, even though each piece was exceptionally made, and definitely couture quality. Still, a great show, with pieces that will definitely be bought and will look great on the client.
Dior !!! Ben voyons !
bobduvar - What have these houses created in 2016/2017? This is the question. Not what they achieved in the 1950's and 60's? You need to move on and not live in the past.
i dont care if some pieces looks like chanel, elie saab etc cos they make ' perfect ' version of it. but yeah i hope they can find like their own direction next time cos theyre very very talented
I believe there are a lot of reference in here. Some pieces were like Chanel, some like Elie Saab, some like Armani, some like Giambatista Valli and the list is goin' on and on. Each piece are standing out, but I can't feel the story / the connection from one piece to another. For me, it's like you're having affair with a lot of man and then you have a child but you still figure it out who's the father of your child is... :)
+yaknotnud well, I'm not talking about tweed that usually Chanel does. I'm talking about some of the dresses, if you look it carefully you'll find a bit ( a bit ) similarity with Chanel Couture ( around ss or fw 2016 ). Elie Saab also doesn't always connected with Flower Prints, but the silhouette of the dress. Well I know, some of other designer also have the same silhouette such as Marchesa or Valli. But for me, the silhoutte is more Saab'ish ( I know, it's not even a word hahaha... ). It's good if you can see the connection from each dress, but I'm still figuring it out 😑
I also found it similar to CHANEL and other brands, but in a more delicate way (if this is possible), imagine if it had been made in CHANEL's atelier? A dream.
I guess I'd be considered a bit old-fashioned style-wise to only be 21, but I absolutely loved all but two looks in this entire collection. I hate to seem stereotyping but many of the pieces on the Asian models were carried out especially gorgeously, as well as the first model, the dark-skinned model at 7:04, and the three looks that came after her. I also just love the look and structure of the dress at 11:04 -- I enjoy that it made me shocked that I used to hate that desaturated-flowers-on-black print. Also someone said the music is boring. The music is perfect. The rock and dubstep movements are just so bad in my personal view.
love it.... but I personally think the timing of the models walk was off, didn't really get to see the beauty of the dresses... or maybe the camera man sucked.
it's either some of the models are can't walk or the shoes are pain in the ass and the collection is so old, mostly looks very Valentino circa Signore Garavani era mixed with Dior from decades ago.
I would kill to have some pieces of this collection, they're breathtaking.
Ralph & Russo collections are always consistently elegant, beautifully sewn garments featuring fabulous fabrics.... They are experts at the evening gowns... I would love to see what they would do with suits, blouses, and even casual wear.
they kill it every year
Are you serious? This is the definition of perfection. I am so blown away, thank you for creating magic, seasons after seasons.
sure there are only so many ways to reinvent the "dress," but the craftsmanship, tailoring, design, embroidery, silhouettes, colors and fabric choices make this collection a STUNNING one! Every attention catered down to the models having same hair styles. Simply beautiful! Well done!

It's very rare to find a collection where you would be more than comfortable wearing every outfit 😍 amazing!
the designers showed the most exquisite, refined elegance and chic runway show of the couture season.

I totally agreed about the structured top. It's not very flattering
Always the perfect kind of music and killing it every year on the runway!

I thought this was stunning. This is how to do Haute Couture. Dior and Givenchy look and learn.
Lydia Bocage umm givenchy's couture is better than anyone out there, I am sorry
Pizdaa Umaa don't be sorry for what you love 😊

You need to move on and not live in the past.
In couture, the REAL question is if they sold more than what they created.
damn I loved it . those black see thru ones are just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
yup I agree there's few pieces similar to chanel in the show Cosmopolitan métre de àrt
At 3:13 absolutely to die for, the bead work is equisite !!
