I'm back! This one took a lot longer than initially anticipated.
Please drop a like if you enjoyed the video to support the channel.
I appreciate all the support on the videos, thank you!
Man there is so much love for real life details that got into this video, making Seagal the absolute GOAT that he is. RPG really helped him to shine in this one. Timeless piece of art.
Steven Seagal is art, I merely share it with the world because he is too modest to do so himself.
@@richardplaysguitarI'm dying laughing.
@@richardplaysguitar he’s actually the best in the world at being modest
Your comment is unrivaled.
By didn't know he played .im likein your style man love to jam with ya Steve I grew up with satriani brother
Of all the guitarists who ever lived, Steven Seagal is one of them.
even jokingly calling him a "guitarist" hurts
It's rumoured he was seen holding a guitar.
Fax!
Wise words 😅
He uses at least three notes in most of his solos, the 2 note one is kind of amazing. Limitations => Creativity.
Eric Clapton was once asked, "what's it feel like best guitarist in the world?"
Eric then replied, "why don't you ask Steven Seagal?"
😂😂
Love Prince, but Eric was being thoughtful/kind and humble with that comment. *again, Prince was a stud*..and Mayville in claptons eyes and opinion, Prince was
LIES!
"Someone started calling me the mojo priest". Yeah, that was YOU, Steven.
It's not about his technique, it's the attitude towards his music. Paying 10 musicians to fill in while playing random shitty guitar blues solos in a cabaret act and then declaring himself The Mojo Priest is such a Seagal thing.
You have an opinion yet no one cares. It’s sad.
@@jeffreyconnor9769 Yet it's 100% true!
@@devinsinderwitcz9134 Its unfair that Steven gets all the attention.

im not really a blues guy, more of a prog/math rock dude myself, and im not usually one to shit on peoples music in genres that im not a personal fan of, but holy mother of fucking christ in heaven is the riff at 0:07 just a garbled jumbled mess of notes with no tempo or time signature in mind that sounds like what would be produced from yourself doing air guitars in grade school LMFAO dear god its so unfathomably bad
I've been working on this video for the last 35 years or so to perfect it...
Wow did you learn how to edit in Japan?
@@matthewbcarter Obviously.
@@richardplaysguitar Hahaha love these videos man.
Can’t rush perfection.
Hey congrats on a million views on the video! Well deserved.
"Steven Seagal is one of the best guitarists to ever live"
Steven Seagal
He’s one of the best blues players 😜🥊🤦♀️
😂😂😂
@@TheSpaLife69why reply with a meaningless comment, like I did too?
He is though, all the guitar legends said he was their inspiration, and taught them all they know....Brian May and Jimi Hendrix to name a few.
For a Russian traitor he isn't too bad.
I mean, his playing does give me the blues.
Hahaha!
Hahaha 🤣
I have been a working stiff in the session musician industry for 50 years,, and that style of playing and sound absolutely gives me the blues lol
indeed
Sure does.
Seagal’s incredible touch and feel around the fretboard is beyond human. In fact, my dog can do this just as well.
Lol right? He’s terrible. 😆
😂😂😂😂😂 THIS👆
had me chuckling
he, he.... most basic 5 year old level....rhythm guitarist....
Nicely done
I can never tell whether Steven Seagal is serious or just trolling us. I hope it's the latter.
H no my friend, he's 100% serious it is
I hope it's both
It's the former.
You NEVER joke with that level of unarmed musical lethality.
Steven 100% believes his own lies
Truly one of the guitarists of all time.
Yes one of the.. guitarists 😂
Perhaps pne of THE most
“The Guitarist”’s we will ever see in this lifetime.
That time when you think of suck
lol
I wouldn’t go as far to even call him one
And I thought I knew all of Steve's nicknames. "Mojo Priest" what an absolute banger for the Bible of Segal!
It's Steven. Show some respect, you animal!
Bruh I died when he said that.
Legend has it Seagal hand makes all of his guitars from old trees that he has grown since he was a child, truly amazing human
😂😂😂
Lol amazing
bonsai trees...
@@bdc211 that is for ukulele
And legend has it that they're each built with a single solid piece of wood...
Seagal is a true guitar zero
Lol
Hahaha good one!
He's the Master Bator.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
My favorite part about Seagal is how his accent changes depending on the ethnicity of the person he is speaking with.
what if told you with the ancient japanese art of istanga i can produce stools that are bigger than subways at will. I could produce the flag of pakistan easily?
With Corey Feldman on vocals, I'm feelin' Supergroup!!
😂😂😂
Segal plays a guitar solo that truly lives down to our expectations.
He taught George Lynch how to shred. Said he might not make it as an aikido man, but sensei Seagal introduced him to Don Dokken and the rest is history.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Till the Livin End
Just like other guitar greats such as Page, Clapton, Gilmore, SRV, BB. King, the Mojo Priest definitely has his own tone and style that could never be mistaken for anyone but him.
Thank goodness…
I mistook it for him, actually.
Yup or EVH, Angus, Hendrix...😮
@@KillerMcDiller oh yes, he is definitely up there with the other high practitioners of da blooz.
He learned the blues in Japan 🤣 He truly is one of a kind.
That'd be Da Brooz...
@@slicksnewonenow MOJO PURIISTU
This just might be one of the very best guitar solos I have ever seen. Segal's haikido-style technique can only be imitated by a select few men on the earth.
Word has it that he did the little Bill and Ted High-Five solos throughout the films at various select points. Each was a masterwork in its own right.
I like how he is humble and has told the Rock Hall of Fame in advance not to induct him, as he sees himself as an outsider, being first and foremost an actor of the big screen.
It was reported that at least one unfortunate guitarist died while attempting to recreate a Segal signature solo.
May he rest in peace.
Please stop it, I can’t breath anymore 🤣🤣🤣
@@mikeb8948
I found out from a reliable source that Segal is donating his fingers to Musical Science.
All 8 of them AND both of his thumbs.
But not until he dies, of course, and he has vowed to live at least 135 years.
🤣 thank you for clarifying this up. I was trying to figure out what was going on here and now I realize I am one of the unfortunate ones who cannot see the guitarist Mastry before my humble eyes. I only hope that with diligent meditation & an abundance of patience I might reach a state of enlightenment to truly enjoy a live performance of the Mojo Priest... or perhaps, reach a playing level myself to attend his rumored degreed course, Master of Guitar, "Special Teacher" at Musicians Institue in Hollywood...
Steven Segal is going after Beyonce. Love to see that.😂
Spoiler alert *Steven Segal in the next James bond movie .
Most unintentional comedian ever. Legend!
there is a little bit of Steven Seagal in all of us
Nope
can never unread that....
....you should pay for my therapy....
Six degrees of being related to Steven Seagal? Bwuahahahahahaahahahaah! Is he Genghis Khan reincarnated?
hopefully not too much
.. that keeps us honest, gives us hope, keeps us noble
steven seagal knows aikido, karate, mma, kung fu and other dangerous words
I love whoever made this video, I’m crying.
I was watching cats on glass tables, and somehow, I ended up here. I'm so happy
I do feel blessed now that the video ended
Is there anything this man doesn’t excel at?
I wish I was half the man…
size wise?
It’s okay …very few people actually measure to even half of this man. Maybe not even One Fifth.
I heard that there IS one thing he never excelled at: Cruising seedy parts of town looking for gay hookers.
He also never really mastered the art of basket weaving. But he would likely excel at it if he wanted to. He would make the greatest baskets of all time. He’ d Probably patent them and score a few extra billion $$$ before moving on to another recording or tour.
Half that man is Chuck Norris. And we worship Chuck.
One of the Best guitarists ever on the planet earth.
You must mean, “one of the guitarists on planet earth,” as opposed to Mercury or the moon, surely.
" Are you still dangerous ? " " Just listen to me torture this Les Paul."
It was screaming get away from me before I die!
This is solid gold on so many level.
😂😂😂
Such a self-deprecating humble man.
lol
Factual eye opener. It is very uplifting to know there's still a source of information that is honest and reliable.
Just like Nigel, his solos are his trademark.
What can’t this guy do? A true miracle has blessed us all.
can we just appreciate how this man built his whole career and gracefully ended it by taking "fake it till you make it" to the heart
I have watched lots of videos where he plays the guitar and I can certainly say he's ONE OF THE guitarists I have watched in my life
I've honestly never heard anybody who plays the guitar that way. and, he makes it sound different than any guitarist I've ever heard. I don't quite know how he's doing it.
he is the blues, he probably invented them
I'm not sure if he invented these, but he delivers "Black & Blues" extremely well, too.
I believe he taught Muddy Waters how to really put some stank on it.
He invented music
He actually invented sound
@@paulsansonetti7410
He created the first guitar strings from his hair. From there, mankind went on to imitate them with metals, though they would never have been discovered if not for him.

‘The secret to great guitar playing is a goatee beard and a ponytail’…….Steven Seagal.
"I've suffered from my music, now it's your turn" - Seagal (probably)
Ha ha , very funny
, what is referred to as tapping here (0:18) is in actuality where Matteo Mancuso got his electric fingerstyle technique from.
As Mancuso revealed in a recent interview, Segal taught him this technique in 2011 and said
"I see you like this, take it brother, do something with it I have no use for it, I'm a bluesman now, this was a Spanish fusion thing I came up with. I don't need any credit it's yours" and Mancuso was feeling like he had to tell the world where he got it from and finally mentioned it in that Jazzbeat interview.
Similarly with the new Extreme song Rise, Nuno Bettencourt said in an interview with the April issue of the Dutch magazine Guitargruber in April "Steve was like our Satriani, he had applied his Akido techniques to the guitar. It was incredible the metal and fusion stuff he could play but when he starting putting out music he stuck to a traditional Chicago blues style. He taught Matteo that fingerstyle stuff and he taught me some of that tricky stuff I did on Rise, ha, he used to call it 'chopstick fingers'. I used some of it on other songs you might of heard a little but really perfected it on Rise, with Steven's help."
Lookout for his album . Enter the Buffet
That's so awesome that Steven can play the guitar. GOD-BLESS.
Lay off the crack.
Me laughing at Steven Seagulls guitar skills even though I'm probably just as... good
I always knew he was this good
Someone started calling me the mojo priest...why do i feel like he gave himself that nickname
Terrible.. searcher… of … um… the exact…. Perfect ….. word.
He has been playing for 85 years.
35 years to perfect the front kick, that sounds about right 🤔
While other people shred
Steven dices and chops
Now THAT, my friend, is the PERFECT COMMENT, for this video!

"Dices and Chops".... !!
I LOVE IT!!....
@@luapsel77 thanks a trillion homie
I was pretty please with myself
Be safe and be well
Seven Segal taught Robert Johnson how to play the blues... it wasn't the devil at the crossroads, it was The MOJO PRIEST!
His first solo from part one will always be the goat. There is a video of him singing like Elvis!!! It would be good material for a part 3.
Nothing can beat the 3 note GOAT. Part 3? I don’t know if I can put myself through this again 🫠
@@richardplaysguitar You must finish this epic tale of the dank blues master.
Lookin' like a true " Blues Commando"...
He’s so talented I love him
His mind control is so intense...It's as though he can will the guitar to play itself. It reminds me of his foes in his movies who succumb to his devastating concentration, where they almost seem to throw themselves down on the mat or through walls with just a touch of his finger.
1:28 SS is kicking it. Starts with a syncopated foundation, then builds speed, morphs into arpeggio.
Sweet.
Was not expecting that at all. Fabulous
On Deadly Sound...
Legend has it that he now is undercover...
as Tim Henson
One day I hope to not give a shit as much as Seagal has. Dude is just dripping with confidence, legend
I would like to dedicate this next piece to an old friend. I still wish I could find him
But I will keep driving up and down 18th ave looking for him . The name of this one is called “ Has anyone seen Ritchie “ followed by “ 5000 for dat badge “ and Steve’s own personal favorite “ you can’t touch me im wit don vittorio”””
You just showed fact of Steven that not many knew and the fact that he actually know play guitar is a great fact
I would love to see a reaction video of Steven watching this.
Me too Ive been watching since about 9
Fact: at least half of the people Seagal has thrown with his mojo-aikido have not yet returned to Earth.
Tim of Polyphia is just blown away by Steve’s mastery.
Steven is the kind of guy who fits the "at least 16+ years of React experience"-job description
The shit at the end was awesome.
That last solo was pretty good.
His Dunkin Donut Diatonic Shredfest Is Legendary
Steven was such a natural that when taking guitar lessons he skipped the first lesson.."How to hold the guitar"
Just brutal..
Seagull is to guitar as vomit is to filet mignon, gasoline is to fine wine, and the Yugo was to luxury automobiles.
A guitar legend, a blues God, but best to keep that to yourself ah seagull
As Jazz player who like blues honestly i like more Steven then those kids that you adore. Kids are copy paste of prog jazz with some adds from percussive slap and that is that, nothing new. There are acustic guitars players who did years before those kids appear. Steven play a few notes but there is a lot more dynamic in it, and damn he bends strings better.
For blues player Steven is great. A lot people think that is simple but when they play it they miss dynamic and feel so it sounds sterile.
I guess some people like to make fun of others, Steven S is often a topic. Obviously some people hate Him just because, but He was and is star. Made some good movies, He is the real martial artist. Dude got passports from several countries because some people like him and think He is a good person.
The man is a fkn god
"What is the essence of Zen."
Tosses him in a pool of fire lol
Most freakin' excellent!
Not many people know this, but Steven Segul actually invented the guitar in Japan, 30 to 50 years ago.
GREAT ! now i'm afraid of my Guitars ! > 15 😁
When people say your to much self glorified you are own your way to becoming steven Segal the great pretender!
Seagull... master of the bliuz oooh play that ouiji boarrd!
Slllllippery!
The playing from 1:29 is 💫
May he rest in pieces
I was named after him. - Steve Vai
You have to give Seagal credit, he sure does give for great content and banter in the comments.
(serious comment ik)
I am 3 years old. Watch this video and goes to comments. Seagull is king of guitar genius.
I can honestly say his guitar playing is way better than his acting.
Bro doesn’t even pick he smashes his thump to shame guitar legends
The guitar pick was invented for people who aren’t Steven Seagal, so we can have a vague idea of what it’s like to have his thumb.
That guitar knows if it doesn't make the right noises he is gunna snap its neck
I don't know what to make of this. Like anything segal... It's oddly impressive.
yo what's the song at the last 20 seconds or so
I love how he talks in a blackcent
He sure as hell shreds an axe better than he ever acted!!! Although he'd never get an Oscar. A Grammy coulda been a reality! Saw Stevie Ray in 79' in Houston and that my friends was a bluesman!!!
Being blessed to play the blues could also be a curse..... Many artists know this. Steve is not quite technically as good as Eddie Van Halen or Fredrik Thordendal but he has so much passion and confidence! I admire him for that... 😁 #mojopriest
I'm a rhythm guitarist, I played a guitar solo, once. It sucked.
I started playing guitar at 9. Im 41. I could play better than him after a week. If he's been playing 40 years and hasn't gotten any better, he is not a real musician.
I think it's Tim Henson who's ad-libbing actually playing the interesting stuff. The flashy playing with the harmonics coming out of no where. Tim Henson's playing is almost being comprehension. Tim was being sarcastic with the "technique" involved for the two note solo so audaciously played. (It took a lot nerve to get on a stage and play like that!). I like to think the comments are full of sarcasm so here's mine: when I heard this, I had a kundalini experience. Buddha descended upon me in a golden orb and told me I needed to practice more to reach enlightenment.
beyond comprehension. ok I get the joke now. lol
Safety glasses from Screwfix just in case his guitar solo becomes to dangerous
