- I'm so happy to be back filming in the garden this week, although the energy levels are nowhere near where they should be! And the day after I filmed on Wednesday, I got super sick again, but I'm on the mend now.
This week I finally harvested some vegetables from the garden! This year has been so slow in terms of growing and ripening and we have the weather mainly to thank for that, but I'm sure my neglect over the last month hasn't done the garden any favours either. But I pruned my tomatoes, harvested some potatoes and took my new macro lens outside to capture some of the beauty up close.
Thank you for all of the kind messages and well wishes over the last few weeks. I really appreciated them and thank you for your patience. While we're heading into autumn, the work in the garden isn't finished yet. Instead, it's only beginning in preparation for next Spring!

I'm almost back to myself now thank goodness and can't wait to dig up more potatoes with my nephew soon! The lens makes everything look so magical, I love it!

I feel like this hasn't been the best year for vegetables, but we're going to be harvesting the corn this weekend and I hope it's tasty!
My family who are in Wiltshire just did their veg harvest, massive pumpkins, gems, marrow and tons of tomatoes. Nothing more tasty than freshly picked veg.

Oh my gosh we're twins! Bronchitis in July turned into pneumonia in August and then settled in with Pleurisy now. Totally understand the shortness of breath and the fatigue. Yup finally operating at 80% too. Get rest; don't feel guilty about taking the time you need. ❤

It was a tough month, and has made me appreciate my health so much more and while I'm sad I missed almost a month of gardening, I'm excited for autumn and planning for next year!
@@Lovelygirliebits I’m so sorry. I’m sure it was a long month with being sick. Gardening is such a good way to get out and enjoy God’s beauty. And they say gardening is considered exercise. Who would think it lol. I think it’s in us gardener’s blood. But good to see you back out enjoying your garden. Just don’t overdo. That’s a pretty serious illness. You don’t want it to come back. And yes fall is in the air! I’m so excited. I’ve already put together a fall planter. I took a bad fall Sunday and injured ribs so I’m not sure I can do much more😢 hopefully I will heal quickly. 💚🐝🦋🌱🪴🦔

Aww bless yer - pleased to hear that you're on the mend. I've enjoyed growing tomatoes this year (love the smell of a tomato plant), and been enjoying them with bruschetta mostly with black olives x

Karen the new camera lens is wonderful The butterfly you could see the long tongue and the wings were so vivid along with the flowers and bees.

A friend of mine had a sinus infection that would not go away. Doctor told her to use spray bottle and moisten a cotton mask with whiskey or any spirit. Keep it moist. Said by the next morning it worked. Never hurts to try. (That was spritz not drown) Get well soon.
I definitely needed more than whiskey and a cotton pad with this dose! But I'm nearly back to normal now and finally have more energy which is very welcome!

I'd say that's exactly what it is as it's been a wet summer here! All the more reason to get a greenhouse, eh!
I'm glad to see you back. I became ill last Sunday and mostly on the mend today (Sunday). My garden looks horrible from neglect. In the next 3 days, the temperatures are going to be too hot 🔥 to work outside as well. Guess things will get done when they are able. Have a lovely weekend.

I was sick for almost 4 weeks with a couple of visits to the doctor. Exhausting but I'm glad it's almost over!

I'd never heard of or seen one of them before, but when I had the camera out, I was so excited!
