    I've been using Industry Ink and I think I am going to give the Mummy a try. I also Use Mom's and Quantum Black and Grey. I like the bright color you are getting from this ink, nice Green and blends well. I remember back when I was a " Tattoo Artist" back in the 70's, I worked at one of them in and out Tattoo Parlor's and it was dirty and smokey and we used Acetate stencils that were terrible and we had Spaulding and Rodgers cheapest machines. Terrible veggie ink and actual India ink for black. Talk about how many infections that happened and they had everyone sign a agreement before the tattoo that they will not hold the shop or artist responsible for any undesirable results and People signed em all day long. I'm SO happy to see the industry has totally changed and it's a bonified legitimate fine art form now. I am just starting back Tattooing on Fake skin and I am getting nice results and thanks to all of the great instructional video's like this one which is one of the better ones on line. I am not ready yet to Tattoo Human skin because I don't feel like I am ready yet and I have so many people bugging me to tattoo them and I have to turn them down. I have done 1 repair on my own hand and it came out great but that's MY hand not someone else's . I'm 61 and have been drawing my whole life so I have lots of designs I can do when I get back to knowing how to do perfect Tattoo's. I didn't catch what needle you are using on this, a Bug pin? It's nice and crisp I like the absence of an outline I'm going to give that some work. Thanks for the lesson .

      Pack the black in as firm as possible,nothing really left to it.Its all black so make sure it's the same consistency.You can also go over this black with white ink to tattoo in white for a cool design and crisp details.Good luck.

    Hello Daniel, Im currently a novice tattooer and Ive got a question about this.. On real skin do you go slow as you're going there? Isnt that going to saturate the skin and swol it a bit? Or overwork, dont know the correct term for it.. Ive done some tattoos and I usually start with all the line work, but when I go to add shading and all that, the skin is a bit swollen on the lines, not sure what Im doing wrong.. Maybe sticking the needle in a bit much?

    What about lining? I’m curious, once the stencil comes off you have gaps between, right?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  4 месяца назад

      That is a great question! Not necessarily. It really all depends on how the technique is technically applied. So if we space out our technique correctly we should cover all of the surface area that we need to cover. We can choose to line if we want or we can choose to use whip motions to complete the area. I don't feel like there is a right or a wrong but more so what we feel comfortable with.

    How does the stencil stand so well on the fake skin? How do you apply it? Bc I struggled a lot and hardly succeeded…
    Also I wonder if on real skin you could do as much passes as you do here, especially when saturating the darkest parts. I tried something similar on my own thigh and overworked though being really cautious…

      I myself use Green Card Stencil stick. If you leave it on for about 10 min and wipe it off it will not smudge or come off during the tattoo. I always lay the stencil and peel it off in about 2 min. I just started using this and I always swore by Ultra sound Gell because I got great results with that also but I'd go with the Green Card and it's inexpensive on Amazon about 8 bucks US.

    When cleaning the needles, is it okay to clean them with a mix of distilled water and green soap?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  8 месяцев назад +1

      That is actually a darn good question!
      Hmmm I cant find anything to wrong with the approach of using distilled water and green soap but I personally would not use the green soap and just the distilled water. The reason I would not use green soap to rinse needle is because it's highly likely that the needles will go back into the skin. I would not want to deposit soap into the skin. I feel witch hazel is a better way to go when it comes to rinsing our needles out.
      In one of my other videos a few people mentioned having multiple rinse cups of just distilled water or witch hazel and running the rinse process through them.

    What speed volts is it on?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  8 месяцев назад +3

      That is a great question!!
      I am running at 5 volts. Whenever I use smaller needles such as the 3RL I tend to running between 5-6 volts. It is rare I will go above 6 volts when using a needle of this size. I prefer to run at a lower voltage because I can build up layers without causing heavy trauma to the skin.

      Thats awesome! I am happy for you. With tattooing it is a slow burn process that requires time and attention to detail. We also have to be kind to ourselves along the way as mistakes will be made.
      For shading I have LOADS of videos on my channel where I talk about various ways I go about shading in depth. I will link you to some videos below that you can check out to get detailed info on various aspects of shading.
