Great advice, especially about using the mag and then coming along with the seven shader you will get a line if you’re not careful I’m glad you brought that up that something I always forget to tell people
Yeah I always like to make sure everything is super saturated , sometimes using a mag towards the line can leave a patchy heal also some people can leave mag lines over the line which can happen , glad this helps 😊
Bet you all that black shading felt amazing. Good lord. But AMAZING piece. I still want my Ghostface piece on my leg and dedicate the half leg sleeve to horror as well! Dope!
Great tutorial very informative! I just had to correct you at 16:46 Bishop does make a 1013CMLT keep up the awesome work and remember you just want to tickle the skin!
Great video thank you. I wish you would’ve went over the percentages you were using for the ink instead of just focusing on the needles but this was a really good helpful video
Ahh I said in the begging I’m using a world famous wash , I’m not breaking down my own inks , it’s something I done a lot in past but I felt like my work was inconsistent with the tones :)
Nice work man. I can only hope to be this good one day. I have a long way to go I haven’t even started to practice with fake skin yet. I like you guys content keep the awesome videos coming.
50% its a technique, how to properly use the machine, but 50 % its a pure talent as most people won't be able to be at your level, well done. nice tattoo.
Unfortunately the footage got lost apparently , I really do apologise about this as it was pretty much out of my hands , but it was a size 30 / 13 or 15 mag kwadron needle depending on the size of the spot to saturate and I was using radiant super white , I start on a blank spot and then brush the white into the greys to make it look more opaque even tho there is no white in the grey wash , hope iv explained it ok for you buddy
U need to do more shading videos please. I watched on on ur page yesterday, Simon, dude did a skull and really really tore up that girls leg. Im a beginner just learning for fun, and i love what ur doin in this tattoo its so soft an no trauma
Really depends if I want to use hard edges or leave it soft , I’ll usually make sure I leave a nice cut off line so I can re stencil , I don’t often use grey lines in my work , I feel like sometimes they just dont disappear
Hıi.I follow your work constantly and I like it very much. Our hand speed is almost the same, I also bought Cheyenne 3.5, what voltage do you work with? Thank you for your answer. I wish you success.
Dood I like your style and the equipment you use but what I would like to know how do you know if the black will heal right like you were saying some blacks will heal like a bluish and that is what happens to me I just can't figure how to get it to stay black
After lots or searching I have come to the conclusion the main difference is that round shaders are not angled to a direct point like liners. There for because the round shaders are more spread apart the texture is a little less “line like” and the angle of contact with skin should be more up and down (vertical) so the full spread of needles make’s complete contact with the skin.
Hey! The needle groupings are different, shaders are more spread out to give the shading/filling effect. Liners are grouped closer together to create a better effect for lining 😊
I found the craft cartridges, specifically the round liners, are total shit. The capillary seems non existent. Just couldn’t get them to pick up ink from the tub.
@egg_ink7568 what a great watch. I honestly don't have any questions you were so open about your techniques. Only question I would like to ask is about art in general would you recommend practicing with traditional mediums such as graphite? Did you do a lot of this as you were become a tattoo artist and beyond? Happy Halloween!
@@egg_ink7568amazing work just started my journey into black and grey horror tattoos and I wholeheartedly agree with everything you say on the video and the textures you do in the hood wow I’m going to have to steal that lol amazing tips from you in this video thanks 🙏
Yeah I was practicing alot with graphite and charcoal , just being very messy and just for contrast really , it’s super fun and really does help towards your tattoos for sure :) but using the round shader is something I really learnt on the skin for texture I never put it in my drawings 😊
Sorry bro, I meant the top of the tattoo, the way you finished the background. I like the edges to be more soft and fading, it's easier to connect it with other tats later. Unless this is a part of a bigger comp, and you've got a plan for what's coming above this piece, then it's all good. Anyway, I enjoyed this video, and picked up some things to try on my clients. So thanks a lot brother! 🤟
@@DeaDerV23 yeah I understand that , but there is another piece going above this , this is just my style of tattooing , and I love these edges personally and my clients also which is more important , guess it’s not for everybody tho but thanks for the comment 😊

Is a 7 round shader the same as a 7 round liner?

Hey! The needle groupings are different, shaders are more spread out to give the shading/filling effect. Liners are grouped closer together to create a better effect for lining 😊
Yeah buddy that’s right ! Liners come to a point wer you can’t pack black with because it would cause to much trauma to the skin 😊
