Wonderful commentating, precise and simple instructions. And always sharing pointers and information well needed. Crafty I must say, and good work sir. Thank You from Cerritos CA.

    12:10 The instructions say to route the igniter wires to the OUTSIDE of the corrugated gas pipe. Probably to keep them further away from the heat. I just put mine together last night. Great video! That wrench they supply belongs in the garbage!

    I buy everything based on reviews. Some said this was hard to put together ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt some guy said 2 hours and 2 beers later. I didn't drink beer like I was going to. I didn't feel like going to the store. I'm assuming I would have had at least 3. I took my time. Stepped outside for a cigarette break a couple times but all in all it was about a 3 hour project for me but it wasn't like it was difficult or anything . Only pictures but everything is pretty organized and labeled although I didn't see any #s on the actual pieces like it shows in the diagrams. Only the screws were labeled. On the cardboard part of the packaging on the back side. I put it together in my living room too. It wasn't supposed to rain today but it's Michigan and I couldn't wait so I put it together in my living room. Without beer but beer would definitely have made it more fun that's for sure. I'm giving this a 5 for easy assembly. I'll update after it stops raining when I can take it out of my living room and cook some food on it. Hope this helps at least for people who think they can't put this together because I did and you can too . And there are extra screws. I got nervous and immediately came here to see if others had the same experience and they have. You're not doing it wrong. There will be extra screws. Be patient. Don't rush it. Drink beer. Happy assembling

Looking forward to your response.

      Thanks for the kind words Todd! I prefer cast iron grates over stainless because I like the darker grill marks they provide. In addition, they're awesome once fully seasoned! Also, I read reviews of owners that said their black grills still look new after many years. The stainless owners referred to minor discoloration on the outer finish. But in the end it's all about preference.!

    • @JaredDesrosiers
      @JaredDesrosiers  3 года назад

      If I follow you correctly, you're referring to the hole that the ignition wires get passed through in the middle shelf?
      Are you sure the shelf wasn't installed backwards or something? If the wires run in front of the shelf it's not really a huge deal. However, they might interfere with the doors closing... Otherwise, as long as your wires are safely routed somewhere where they won't get damaged, you should be fine.

    How do you keep the match holder from dangling down i want to keep it tucked underneath and cant figure out how to

      There's not really a built-in solution. You could add a small command hook under the shelf and hang it from there.

    Thank you. Watched this and another video. Knew exactly what I was up against. Just put mine together and putting through its initial burn. Thanks again.

    I was told the tank lip needs to be on the propane measuring clamp. Is this true?

    • @JaredDesrosiers
      @JaredDesrosiers  3 года назад +1

      The clamp needs to be secured through the hole of the tank lip and tightened so the tank hangs straight. That's the only requirement that I'm aware of.

    I’m surprised it took 4 hours to build. I recently got a job building grills for Home Depot and I’m able to do this model in under 30 minutes.

      Keep in mind that I was also filming the video, which slowed me down quite a bit.

      You've probably have put together more than 1. First one takes more time than the 10th.

    23:19 you've put these grills upside down. You can see small legs on each corner, they are supposed to be on the bottom. Other than that great video!

      Yes thanks, I realized that after using the grill for a few weeks after someone else pointed it out. 😅 I can confirm however that both sides of the grates work well for cooking!

    I like the subtle NE undertone, but would have appreciated if it was more condescending, angry, and inappropriate 😂
    Just kidding man, loved the video and I’m sure I’ll be able to build my grill faster because of this! Cheers

    I noticed you didn't list a hammer as one of the required tools. From experience, I've found that a hammer can fix most problems. Lol

      I suppose I could have listed a hammer as optional. Thanks, lol!
