This is a song that brings back the past of such good memories. This country is no longer what it was. Today is another U.S. of America. Listen to the music by the original Doobies was a blessing what happened. Mike Mc Donald should have found another band.
@Rockdochollyrand, I'm always looking for a connection with others who have the same likes in music. The world today is making hard to connect with others unless you are at a concert or sports event.
I had a heart attack and while Dr. Skloven was working on me he and staff were listening to this song, now every time it comes on, no matter how I'm feeling at that moment, I always pep up and instantly feel great that I'm alive to listen to the music! Hit em with a hein!
Marco Palacios I heard many stories of how the music of the Doobies helped them through tough times but yours is the most amazing I read so far. Thanks for sharing it man!
Lara is a true talent that fell close to the tree. Just wait, you'll see. TJ and family, Lara and Diane are good friends of me and my wife Lori as well as other Doobs. We love them, we love the band and its nearly 50 years of great music. Rick, co-producer of Veterans TV Network. Keith and Big Mike RIP.
One of the best songs of the Doobies. The group is long overdue being inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. .I always enjoyed the late Keith Knudsen closing their shows with singing his version
YES, that IS his daughter Lara Johnston; she has opened as a solo act for Kiss and Heart, and also toured with Don Henley among others as a back up singer.
always had the biggest crush on him... nothing new w/ a musician ; ) he actually reminds me of my ex husb [rest his soul] but Tom I'm sure is a lot nicer.
Heading to see the Dobbie Brothers. Had to reconnect from a long time ago. My best friend bought me a ticket and cannot wait. Thanks Becky, I needed a day away.
Benefit concert with Tom and Lara. Lots of fun by the sounds of it. So, not the Doobie Brothers as are they today in case anyone thinks they are watching the band. The band goes from strength to strength [ aging magnificently actually...] playing alongside The Eagles and Steely Dan later in 2017. They still have it and have never lost it. 50 years on, how many bands can say that?
Hear this again last weekend when I was at the Doobie Brothers and Chicago concert. Plus, they sang "Music Is the Doctor", one of my favorites that I don't hear that much live. It was a great show. The only disappointment was they usually join Chicago on stage at the end but this night did not. I love to hear them sing "Feeling Stronger Every Day" together.
You think this is the current DB lineup??? This ain't the Doobies, it's just Tom sitting in with his daughter at a benefit concert, and obviously having a good time doing it. The Doobies are still touring and they've still got it, much more so than almost any other long lasting band out there, without having to transpose everything like most other veteran bands are doing. Pat Simmons is still with the Doobies, as is John McFee. Heck, they've even added Bill Payne (Little Feat keyboardist, who actually played on more Doobies albums than Michael McDonald) to the touring lineup.

Tom's shining pride beside him!
Parental pride.🩷
I bet Tom had to be protective of her when she was growing up.
Tom looks like one proud father. His daughter is so beautiful and has a beautiful voice.
Wow, apple doesn't fall far from the tree, tj still has the voice. The daughter has a great voice and she is beautiful.❤
Tom Johnston's daughter has real talent, just like her Dad.
Yes, parental pride.
Greatest Doobie's song ever, and probably one of the greatest rock and roll songs period.
My all time favorite Doobies original is "Long Train Running" but LTTM is a close second.
"Long Train Runnin'" is my favorite Doobie song. This song is one of my favorites also.
Nothing better than the ORIGINAL singer on this iconic song!!
I love seeing Tom singing with his daughter. Our Gen Y and Gen Z rs could really use some Doobie Brothers in their lives!
amen to that
It's not often that you have our children or children our age listening to music from 1950's-1989
@@robaroy2269 Thanks for commenting. I have not seen this post since covid. Made me smile. Thank you

I had a heart attack and while Dr. Skloven was working on me he and staff were listening to this song, now every time it comes on, no matter how I'm feeling at that moment, I always pep up and instantly feel great that I'm alive to listen to the music! Hit em with a hein!

That is uplifting, a simple positive message which music allows us to share-keep rocking
That one brought me to tears - the song of our lifetime.
Toms voice is awesome
Sing it Tom!!! Awesome!
This is one song that I never get enough of.
Ain't it the truth. I have heard this many times in concert and never tire of it.

This is a GREAT SONG!!! It puts life into you when you hear it!!!!
Whit this song , Since 1974, i feel the same cargo of emotion . Thats time i was 12 old
great song and great daughter
Great tune!...love the harmony...good to see Tom singing again...with this daughter Lara.
Tom Johnston is a better performer now than during the 70s. At his age he looks more energetic, and really WORKS UP the crowd!
I'd take him for my front man anyday!!!!!
Yes he is a ball of energy,I have always liked their music . I thought it was better when he was the man up front. Way better than Micheal McDonald .
YES, that IS his daughter Lara Johnston; she has opened as a solo act for Kiss and Heart, and also toured with Don Henley among others as a back up singer.
but her own music is poorly produced and she has lame live bands.
OMG is Lara absolutely beautiful -- and I play guitar and sing too.
best song EVER ! Thanks Tom !
Their music will be played at my funeral......not yet....not yet
Jesus is just alright? LOL
I really love this song and it's nice to listen to the music of yesterday.
Sweet. Nothing like carrying on in the family business and doing such a good job at it!
always had the biggest crush on him... nothing new w/ a musician ; ) he actually reminds me of my ex husb [rest his soul] but Tom I'm sure is a lot nicer.
Hi Laura, my friend Melody is your twin sister wow❤
Heading to see the Dobbie Brothers. Had to reconnect from a long time ago. My best friend bought me a ticket and cannot wait. Thanks Becky, I needed a day away.

Funny you say that the guy that plays keys on “The Doctor” video is on keys here I believe. Dale Ockerman
Nope, that is not Dale Ockerman
She is very cute and you can tell she it Tom's daughter.
So damn good!
A voz dele não mudou, continua linda e perfeita.🥰
very awesome!!!!!
Today is Tom Johnston's birthday. What makes this birthday significant? He's 70 years old!!! Yikes!!
Philip Blakely Tom has aged incredibly. The guy looks like he is in his late 40's pushing 50.
Bloody great
Brillante inolvidable gracias

wese amescua she's hot!
I love the Doobies but come on Tom, lay off the Just For Men because there's no need it it.
his 'stache itself should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. along with phil lynott's afro......
トミーお父さん嬉しそうですね。
There are very few rock bands that age gracefully and this ain't one of them. Damn shame.

Her beauty is absurd and I feel offended.
Lara is so cute, singing with daddy 😎
