Defensively he was one of the best PFs with TD, Horry, Rodman and KG. Tremendous shot blocker and fundamentally flawless. Offensively he had it all: left, right, more than decent handling for a big, post-up nightmare as he could fade or turnaround finishing with an extremely effective and sky high release jumper, shimmies and hooks, great leaper, excellent footwork, outside shooting. ALL. He didn't rack big numbers just because he was a team first guy and his main task was not necessarily to score the ball. He always had guys alogside for that. I.e. Hamilton stated that while he was the main scorer in that Piston team anytime they needed to generate a double team the play was to go to Sheed in the post. And KG said Sheed was the toughest matchup for him throughout all his career. I mean...over TD, Malone....Guess that says it all.

Had a great high school coach the late great mr.ellerbee he had them cross country as well so sheed could run all day and nobody could guard him one of my favorite players and I he never shitted on his teammates but he could've been an all star every year if wanted to
This man was unfortunate, his coaches never believed on him to be the number 1 option and in this era the 3 pts shooting was not appreciated and planned like now
I’ve always loved the way Rasheed played. But we need to stop saying players from different eras would either be better, or bums. Why can’t we just appreciate the players for where they are now.
Sheed was a peopled champ but Andre saying he'd be better than the Greek freak is one of those things Iggy been doing that makes him so corny these days.
Dont sleep on his defense either. Rasheed Wallace could do it all. The Blazer runhe was a key component on both sides of the court. With Detroit along Ben Wallace he solidified that DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS mentality. He got his most deserved championship title. Dethroning the 3 time repeating champion Lakers who had a stacked team when both Kobe and Shaq were at their peak and prime.
He was his own worst enemy and under achieved. Especially in Portland he should have been a 25 and 10 guy there. No chance in hell is he better than Giannis in any universe though.

I think a lot of PFs were great at offense(10 ft in) and rebounding. Now, you can find better RBers, but Sheed was offensive(anywhere inside the arc), INCREDIBLE 3PT shueting for a big, and a great defender. I think he's a better PF than Lucas as a Trailblazer when you add everything up, though Lucas is more well known and probably more accredited as being a great player. Then, he went on to Detroit and might have gotten 2 rings--without Big shaht Bob happening again!
Damn, one of the few times a video made me a believer. I'm still not gonna say he would be better than Giannis(it's arguable for sure). But, I will say it seems like he didn't get the chance to show who he really was. With everything that's been said, the common deal is that he just never could focus.
It is not arguable at all. Rasheed was a low teir Allstar then, and he most likely wouldn’t even be an Allstar today. Giannis is a 7 footer with a 40+ inch vert. Some usnthletic forward who fouls a ton and can kind of shoot does not compare to a two time MVP
@@arch8748 did you not watch the video? It tells you why it is arguable. In his generation. Shooting 3s weren't a thing unless at the top of the key. Nowadays you can shoot em alot. You have multiple legends saying how good he was on defense IF he played to his potential. Which a lot of players argue he didn't get enough of a chance on any of his teams
@@arch8748 Rasheed's game absolutely translates to this era better than it did in the era he played in. He would likely be an all-star because he would have the green light to shoot more 3's. @@jpowell6418 that’s not how the nba works. You aren’t just a superstar that “doesn’t live up to potential”. That’s his fault wtf. Rasheed Wallace was one of the most talented power forwards of all time. He was more skilled than Tim Duncan. He was a better passer, good rebounder, good post scorer and could shoot the three when big men weren’t even allowed to do so. However, greatness is not only about skill and talent. Mentally he just didn’t have it. He would lose focus often, one perceived bad call by the refs and he would just fall apart. The guy clearly had mental issues. Also, in clutch time he never took over the game even though he had the talent to do so. He would often over pass or just make dumb plays when the game was on the line. It became evident when he went to Detroit that he was better suited as a talented role player than the number one option. He couldn’t handle the pressure of being the alpha on a basketball team.
The way Robert talked about sheed is like Iverson he got judged off his image and how he carried himself and unfortunately it was in a negative light and as a pistons fan sheed was one of the best players we had for the organization we don't get him in 04 pistons only have 2 championships still he was a key player for us up till the end wish we kept him as a coach just

"Ball don't lie!!!" -Rasheed Wallace.
My guy👏👏 He was a hard working player
Stop it Iggy. Please stop it. Giannis is way better. Just in his own Era. Chris Webber in his own era ate Wallace's lunch. Chris Webber had a better shot of being close to Giannis... stop it. Put this to bed please
You're CRAZY!! In that Era....only PF better than Rasheed is/was Ticket and Dirk, slightly..... Duncan who really is A center, if classified as A 4, is as well, N0T Webber or any other
Soooooo underrated. I enjoyed watching him play especially on the Pistons!
True, Rasheed would be unstoppable!!!
IF RASHEED WALLACE DIDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH REPORTERS EVERYDAY .. HE'D HAVE BEEN AN ALL-TIME GREAT ..
Skillset wise, yes. Mentality, not even close to Giannis. JR Smith had all the tools, but not the mentality.
Well said. Same goes with Dion Waiters who's out the NBA
My guy always said he didn't want to be a all-time great, just wanted a chip, that was he mind set.
"THEY WILL NOT WIN GAME 2"
- Sheed
The results: Pistons lead 69-67 with 20 seconds left, block by Prince. Pistons win!
@@WilsonSy yessir!!!! As a Detroit native Sheed has always been royalty to us ......his grit, work ethic and tough no nonsense demeanor matched the city perfectly !! Thanks for the great content bro! 💪🏾
"BOTH TEAMS PLAYED HARD"
Diff was a beast hands down inside/out and can shot the 333333and that defense
Completely disagree. When was Sheed ever in ANY MVP conversation?
From 96- 2016 those Group of NBA Players are my Era!! Just to Name A Few 2000 era Ko8e,, KEvin Garnett, Tim Duncan, T-Mac, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, PauL Pierce, Rasheed Wallace, Dirk, Ray Allen Pau Gasol Steve Nash, Amare Stoudamire Manu Ginobli Ben Wallace the List Goes on and On!!💪🏾💯 I would put my era up against any era in Basketball!! Especially the 90s Era(Jordan) they would be the Most competition Jordan, Pippen, Barkley, Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Dennis Rodman,
Reggie Miller, KarL Malone, Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning Dikembe Mutombo Mark Price
The 90s was A center driven League Talent Wise!!
2010 era The Lebron Era is Deep LBJ, KD, Steph, Kawhi, Anthony Davis, D.Wade Chris Bosh Chris PauL Carmelo Anthony Draymond Green, Dwight Howard, Boogey Cousins
LBJ era Lacks Size but they have speed and athleticism oh yeah they have Steph Curry 🤦🏾♂️😁
I’m gonna Double Down on My 2000s Era
Ko8e era is the toughest IMO💪🏾💪🏾💯💯💯
No way he's better than Giannis, BS, better jumpshot, post moves...But Giannis length & athleticism is out of this world...
Facts! Not even close!
A big time kc chiefs fan from back in the day
Had a great high school coach the late great mr.ellerbee he had them cross country as well so sheed could run all day and nobody could guard him one of my favorite players and I he never shitted on his teammates but he could've been an all star every year if wanted to
Rasheed didn't have Giannis drive and that is the difference between them 2 at the end of the day Giannis is greater than Rasheed leaps and bounds
Sheed is my favorite PF of all-time.
Iggy kept talking like an expert while he can only get a ring with Curry and Klay in his team. Oh sorry, while he’s in Curry and Klay’s team.
Sheed guarded shack one on one no help and had a long arms with a shot like Robert parish and McHale with attitude loved em
Played wit or against sheed my whole life one of the greatest ever from NORF PHILLY..YALL JST SAW ALIL BIT OF HIS GAME💯💯💯💯💯💯
If he wanted to he could've been the best power forward with his skill set but he didn't want to be.
Sheed was big love ❤️
Sheed was a peopled champ but Andre saying he'd be better than the Greek freak is one of those things Iggy been doing that makes him so corny these days.
Team first. Made every team better.
Rookie sheed looking like Scottie Barnes out there
Sheed could have been one of the great. For me he's a passive scorer. But he got all the skills to get the bucket.
Yes my favorite player 🙌 👏
Only if he played in this era.
What that boy got flowing thru his system 🤣
Someone said that Rasheed would be the equivalent to Karl Anthony Towns in today’s game…sounds kinda accurate to me
He was his own worst enemy and under achieved. Especially in Portland he should have been a 25 and 10 guy there. No chance in hell is he better than Giannis in any universe though.
Why are u so mad
@@masel4036 not mad just stating facts. He had KG level talent. Watched him play live a lot in those days.
@@levels1937 I get it I’m from Detroit so we look at him a certain way
@@masel4036 Yeah he wasn’t as focused till he got with you guys. No lie I went to see a full dress scrimmage in 99. Bro shows up late and refuses to wear his uni and played in a hoodie and sweats the whole game😂 It was funny as hell but it shows kinda what his mind set was.
If Sheed thought the refs were soft when he played, he'd have an aneurysm now.
Sheed would flat out DOMINATE in today’s game. Period. DESTROY! ABUSE! ANNIHILATE!
Hell no
@@arch8748 It’s true bro. As far as today’s big men go, he’d EASILY be the best on offense AND defense. Facts

Sheed!!!
troll without saying you live under a bridge. cmon Iggy, Rasheed has as much chance of being better than Giannis as you deserve that Fmvp trophy.
Rasheed Wallace was awesome. I think he just never found a team that really worked for him or could actually take advantage of his talent.
Detroit worked for him.
Sheed is my favorite Tar Heel of all time. Having said that, he was his own worst enemy. He just didn't care.
Finally Sheeeeeddd.
People today love to mock the players of the past but yet the players of the past would do even better today. Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, T-Mac, Sheed, Hakeem etc. these guys were amazing in their time and today would cripple the league more. Steph Curry be eating the floor trying to defend Penny Hardaway
@@arch8748 low tier simply because he wasn't liked and had A bad reputation. Talent/skill wise......he's one of thee BEST EVER!
@@arch8748 Rasheed's game absolutely translates to this era better than it did in the era he played in. He would likely be an all-star because he would have the green light to shoot more 3's. You can tack on an extra 2 or 3 points to his career average..and then we'd be talking potential Hall of Famer.
@@jpowell6418 that’s not how the nba works. You aren’t just a superstar that “doesn’t live up to potential”. That’s his fault wtf. You don’t go from low teir Allstar to mvp because of a slightly different era. Literally every big man has the skills he has now. He would be a role player like Maxi Kleba
If rasheed Wallace played today he will be DeMarcus cousins
Hall of famer no doubt! Sheed took prime Shaq and prime Duncan to 7 game series
Rasheed Wallace and Reggie Miller were both Dangerous in there prime
Chris Webber and Garnett were monsters
SHEED BETTER Than Chris
Why did Sheed where 36 those years ?
The way Robert talked about sheed is like Iverson he got judged off his image and how he carried himself and unfortunately it was in a negative light and as a pistons fan sheed was one of the best players we had for the organization we don't get him in 04 pistons only have 2 championships still he was a key player for us up till the end wish we kept him as a coach just
Today he would getb ejected every game🤣
That's true. The game today is so soft that Giannis can do whatever he wants. In the 90s, he couldn't do what he is doing today.
BALL DON'T LIE!
