Most of those are paid promotions anyway. Never trust someone to be 100% honest when they're being paid to shill something.

Same shit happened to me down in Corbin Kentucky. This was on my trailer with auto inflaters. Literally just checked them 15 miles from the Corbin scale. Had air in it but not enough to let me go. Out of service, just like you. Nothing but heartache when I run south. At least in the Midwest the scale houses all close up by 5pm, I’ll let you keep them southern loads driver. Good video sir.

Also, some of those plugs you can stick a pick tool in there and loosen it, then pull it right out the back. Probably able to replace the individual pins easier than the pigtail end itself.

As a new company driver w/ 2yrs experience I very much appreciate hearing about your experiences and learning about the business side of trucking. And I think what I have learned today is that the best way to make money in trucking is either work in tire sales or get a job with the DOT! Seriously though, I have to inspect every trailer I pickup or move and won't hesitate to tagout a safety defect. I guess it's just the cost of doing business, but it can really eat into your profit margin if you are the owner-operator!

    • @higb7

I do on my step deck because they're 17.5 tires.
      My tractor's 24.5
My a dry van is 22.5
But honestly I've got 305,000 mi on my truck tires and that's the first time I've had any tire trouble with it.
I plan on changing all eight within the next couple of months because they're down to about 5/32

I’ve notice.. if you keep stopping on the breakdown lanes or pull on side of road. There is a lot of debris, that’s not cleanup. There where you get a lot of nails and bolts, that’s bounce around on the shoulder of road. I quit pulling off to the side. I would hit up a rest area or ramp.

    • @higb7

    • @taxbuck7014

I agree. I reserve pulling onto highway shoulders for TRUE emergencies when you really cann’t continue. Main reason for me is you cause a hazard for drivers needing to suddenly move over a lane to give you room, but picking up debris you cann’t see from a distance is a strong 2nd reason.

I’ve taken my authority and go direct to shipper (it’s time consuming, but the rewards are much greater in the long run), it’s much better that way. My suggestion for now- power only, pull containers or bull hauler until the rates creep back up (not knowing when that’ll be), but hauling cheap mmmmm nawl

Because 140 is what Google maps says it is. That's what the broker probably saying it is too.
But the 602 is taking the ending odometer from the previous ending odometer and auto calculates the 602
