Hey would you say that a 120 soft box on this light would be a good choice for film food and beverage videos for clients?
If your looking for very soft light then yes I think it would be a good choice. If you have the space
@@FulaanCreative Okay, thanks for your reply!
Glad to see this channel grow. It's great production. Also, your dialogue is amazing.
Thanks! I appreciate that!
1:10 "If you purchase this light it already comes with a light stand" NOT TRUE. I purchased the light and did not come with the stand. Amazon will give you the choice to add it. But it's not like it's included lol. Just being honest, not hating. I enjoy the content and recommendations but that was a bit deceptive.
Thanks for watching and commenting. C'mon give a brother some credit. How I'm gonna be deceptive, especially over a light stand? When I made the video it was included with the light but that was over a year ago. If that's not the case then it was an oversight.
CAN IT TAKES NPF BATTERIES IF I PUT AN ADAPTER PLATE ABOVE THE V MOUNT?
You have confirmed what I have been thinking, SmallRig RC120B + DA85 Parabolic Softbox. I have to say the quick assembly of the D85 is a great feature. Plus I have liked the other SmallRig products I have bought. Just need to re-arrange my room and sell my Elgato Key Lights.
Thanks for sharing
Great review, really enjoyed the fast paced no bs compilation of facts. Subscribed ✅
Much appreciated!
Hey Fulaan! You’re a genius 🔥🔥🔥
You’re presentation is flawless!
I have been researching light for my music recording studio for a while now and one major concern for me is NOISE.
This light sounds like a good go but I’m just concerned about noise.
Any specific advice regarding the Norse level of this light?
Thanks
He's the best he's no-nonsense.
Thanks. I appreciate that!
wsg fulaan i hope u see dis ur actually the best youtuber out there for video n camera questions ongg!! ur advice always helped me so much!!!! ♥
Thanks! I appreciate that.
I'm thinking of this light. 😳 You really do read my mind 😂
Haha! Nice.
You really are my twin. 😝 I swear you've read my mind a few times already!
Hi, how You achieve the effect of you being in full light and everything behind You in darkness the same time?
Hello. The foreground where I am is lit without the light spilling into the darker background. That's a basic summary but in the future I may do a video on how I light my talking head scenes.
What cord would I need for a V mount battery?
why do you recommend this over the 100d (or perhaps the 100ds) from Amaran ?
Hello. Thanks for your presentation. I recently purchased the NANLITE FORZA 60II. do you think this soft box with the Bowens mount is too heavy ? The reason I like this soft box, is that it includes the grid? may I have your opinion?
If you intend to transport it around very often then there may be better options. It's not the smallest setup out there for sure.
Hi! Amazing video. I am just bought GVM 150W RGB Video Light Kit, 2700K~7500K Bi-Color LED Video, do you recommend better SmallRig RC120B? Thank you
I thing the GVM light is also good. Most lights these days are good. As long as the fan noise isn't too loud and it works as it should your pretty much good to go.
@@FulaanCreative thank you so much for fast response
I’m sorry, I’m new to videography, is there any possible way you can make a video on how to upload and use luts for Final Cut, I have been learning from your channel thank you
You are welcome. Please see below:
1. Select a video clip in the Final Cut Pro browser or timeline.
2. In the Info inspector, click the Metadata View pop-up menu in the bottom-left corner and choose General, Extended, or Settings.
3. Click the Camera LUT pop-up menu and choose Add Custom Camera LUT.
AMAZING Work!!! Lovin your tips!!!!
I appreciate it!
would you raccomend this for still life photgraphy and also some videography?
Yes it is great for videography. For stills it is also good so long as you are indoors.
Cool one. I have a small room. Would the 60w works in your opinion ?
Yes it's more that enough for 95% of people
Great video, appreciate it!
How low can the light go. My friend has some lights that the lower setting is too high.
It goes down to 1% so should be ok in that regard.
I just got the full small rig kit for this RC120B, Easily the best & most simple light & budget friendly in the market imo especially with all the other smallrig accessories you can easily buy for the light
Couldn't agree more!
I'd return right away man unless you really need the rgb. I bought the Smallrig 220d for $150! at B&H this black friday.
Seriously I’m so grateful
For your channel.
Thanks!
Can you really get all the fan noise out in post?
Honestly with Davinci resolves new voice only feature you could probably have 3 hungry monkeys fighting over a banana in the same room you are filming in and you would never know. Just with one click of a button. It's crazy how effective it is. Regarding the fan noise I have been removing it with the old noise removal feature in resolve before they even came out with this new voice only filter.
Amazing! Thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate it.
Sickkkk!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting Gohatio!
nice
Thanks!
Thanks for the tips bro 👍
Thanks for watching and commenting Kenan.
aputure still ia king
Awesome lights but some are a bit pricey for most.
@@FulaanCreative u think they good enough for weddings orice not bad
@@HectorRiveraPhotography If you need pro lights that can constantly be moved around it might be worth paying more and getting the aperture ones but if the light will always stay in the same spot the less expensive brands are fine in my opinion.
Hey, bit of a weird ask, but could you do a quick 60-second test with this light at various color temps? IE calibrate the camera to the light at one setting so it looks the most natural to your eye, then run it through all of the light's settings from 2700, then 3000, then go up 500k every interval until you max it out.
As I understand it, lights like this one (and cameras for that matter) are about the only things that are accurate as far as color temperatures go, with you standard household and car headlight LEDs being wildly inaccurate and inconsistent across brands, not to mention fill with stupid buzzwords like "soft white" and "bright white" and "daylight" which really mean even less than the nothing that their seemingly arbitrary color temperatures indicate.
The reason why I'm asking you to do this is so I can eventually petition LED bulb manufacturers to not only make ACCURATE color temps of lights, BUT ALSO offer more pleasing options in the vastly deserted middle ground between 3000k "warm" and "bright" white, and the disgusting 6000k "daylight" lights that I hate.
I'm behind on the to-do list so can't do it but I'm sure something similar will come up in future videos.
there is NO remote control - Bluetooth constantly fails - Light is nice tho - returned
Sorry to hear that. I never use any wireless control on my lights so I never checked that. I'll have to do that in future light reviews though.
Who cares No remote control instead that skin tone with those light. It's about professional light for filmmaking, not about "Bluetooth light"
