Am I the only one that find his tone of voice soothing/calming? I find myself coming back to his video, beyond the A1 content/explanation of gear, just to listen to him talk. I can’t be the only one.
Of all various videos showcasing this light that were uploaded across RUclips over the past week, this was by far one of the best in showing use cases. The behind-the-scenes revealing how the light was used to achieve a variety of looks was really fantastic -- thank you!
Light is soooo important. Lighting is King. Smallrig is a Boss company.I've learned to appreciate your approach to lighting. Thanks again for dropping some 💎 💎💎
Lights have strived so far these past few years, they've become so versatile and so small. Anyone can get into them, use them, and produce such amazing images.
Yo, it seems so effortless the way you cut these reviews together. I'm loving the lighting setups and making mundane locations look and feel cinematic. Sometimes us filmmakers get too wrapped up in the gear and feel like we need to bring everything when sometimes, 2 lights a tripod camera and mic is all you need!
I love watching creative people do their thing! especially seeing someone going for that shot using their environment around them. Not knowing what you’re gonna have later. We made people go out of their way for perfect lighting and missed that great shot. You’re awesome!
YC...I appreciate your unique quality and ability to professionally illustrate and demonstrate in a manner that is so relatable and down to earth! It helps me understand so much faster about the creative filmmaking process. Thank you man!
Awesome video. Amazing how such tiny lights can output so much light. Makes for creative uses, small spaces, light footprint (no pun intended). Liked all the setups👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿. You BEEN doing this for a minute. Great show❤
This looks like a great ad to a lighting collection. Small, wireless, powerful. Thanks for the info. I enjoy your videos. Very informative and real. Keep it up😂
The SmallRig RC-60B is one of the best lights I've bought in a long time. The built in rechargeable battery is a major feature. You can pop it on a stand and you're ready to go. And it's BRIGHT! Plus, it has a way to mount an umbrella to the light, which is great for a quick soft light. Great commentary.
Man, this was such a great, great video. I've seen more than a few lazy product reviews on RUclips, and they are not very useful. But you really invested in this video. It was insightful and downright enjoyable to watch. Oh, I want this light!
I appreciate all the time and energy spent on these videos. The end products just get better and better. Love watching your page! Also, @EarthsideWithDylan
this is great. I got into film making about a year ago and still have not gotten a proper light. this one would be cool for me since its rechargeable and does not need a power source. i do a lot of filming in the woods and nature so not needing a power source would be a big time and energy saver. as usual great video yc. peace.
Bought this a few weeks ago after watching this video and havent regretted it since! Finally made the decision to start filming myself now that I have my first proper light and really happy with How I can make shots look now :)
OMG! At 6:30 I lost my mind when you revealed how you created your opening shot. It is so well lit and composed. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you could figure out how to make the identical shot with a "Bic Lighter"... Thank you for posting, I've always enjoyed your reviews. There just so practical and grounded. Thanks again for posting!
I actually saw this light as a new item during Black Friday. I wish I saw your video earlier. It could have helped me decide if I wanted to invest in one. I still think I may. The small footprint of the light really adds to its versatility.
Such a great video. I would really enjoy additional camera information like fstop, shutter, iso. The addition of that information would make a video like this a one-stop source for lighting.
You got some sick shots with the SmallRig light. And thanks for the behind the scene looks! I'm trying to get into videography and watching this type of stuff really helps 🙏
Broooo>>> Love the content. I’m an aspiring cinematographer from Detroit> Just getting started>I could use the light and any other equipment you can offload!!!!
Ya shoulda just just asked for 5 more minutes. I ordered one of these. I'm going all SmallRig. Getting rid of all my other lights. The app is awesome. I want one app, one brand and one big happy. Great work bud.
This light is SUPER DOPE KING. I like the vision you be having when it comes to choosing locations to create. I’m starting to create content myself but I have to get some gear to use. I watch a lot of videos posted by you and Creative Ryan. It’s not a lot of creatives dropping gems the way ya’ll do. Keep dropping dope content KING. PEACE.
I literally just copped an Amaran Cob Sx! I might have to order one of these. I kinda wish the battery was replaceable but this unit seems super convenient .
This video really gave me a lot of insight on what lighting should be like. As a new photographer, I truly appreciate your in depth explanations. Day 2 same fit 😂 aye we all do it .
Thanks for sharing this as i need a versatile small light. Shame so many who don't 'get' light think you need to soften light. Direct light used well is generally more versatile. However you need to use fill in with either a second light or reflector, though the latter only on close up sets where you won't see the reflector in the shot . To create interest mix colour of lights...warm and cool.
Great vibes in this video. Also convinced me to go with the 60B before I jump into the 120B, should be enough power for what I need right now! I don't mind the directional and small soft box, could create some great shadows in my home setup
I recommend microphone stands with the boom arm for those little lights vs C stands with the boom arms and just grab you a 1/4 thread adapter to screw on the mic stand. I use them in my setups and they work amazing very light weight
Nice video, very cool light. I've always been a big fan of SmallRig gear. I love how powerful this light is, and yet you use it very well with low lighting settings. Great vid, you gained a follower 😎
Thank you for your videos. This SmallRig light looks great. I would love to win one if I’m chosen, and make use of it on a future shoot. Happy Holidays and keep shooting. I’m enjoying your content.

What a fantastic addition to the Smallrig lineup. Thank you for all that you do!
I really enjoyed the way you presented how to use this light. The behind the scenes shots really helped show how you can use it. Thanks!

You’re awesome!
That atmosphere created here is top tier!
The amount of dedication this dude shows toward demo’ing new products is INSANE! Deserves any and every product sponsor he gets.. sheeeeeesH💨
Definitely getting like 5 of these boys. Just soooo many uses being able to chuck them anywhere. Night exterior driving stuff would be ace with these
Lights were my last stop for gear shopping, thank you
Awesome! Thank you for actually doing a review that put the light in the situations we actually encounter on the job.
Love the setups and how you showed multiple ways to use the light
that's such a crazy versatile light because of the size. it's perfect for a small production in a backpack!
just picked up two of these and am so excited to be cable free! When you said "you get all of your lights for free" living the dream my man!
YC...I appreciate your unique quality and ability to professionally illustrate and demonstrate in a manner that is so relatable and down to earth! It helps me understand so much faster about the creative filmmaking process. Thank you man!

Nice.Built in battery is great. Plus being able to use a power bank if needed. For portability these would be ideal.
..Really handy light to have. I can imagine several close-in scenarios like your bathroom situation that where it could be utilized really well.
