You remind me of an actual event. Perhaps you will indulge me for a moment. This had to be thirty years ago and I brought my acoustic to a gathering. Keep in mind that I could barely play the thing but I was so full of myself that there I was jamming away and "singing" and this other guy who had brought his guitar (and was an actual musician with talent) was so unbelievably put off by the positive reaction I was getting from the crowd that he actually smashed his guitar into a million pieces.

I love how JB gets so much joy out of showcasing and playing with other artists. Both he and Tal are unbelievable - it's a real pleasure watching/listening to them share this solo. RIP Mr. Beck.

@TheKevgray1 Tal commented in an interview that Jeff's amp broke and she invited him to play bass while she took solo.
Going to say this is 2009, the Ronnie Scott's tour I call it. I saw them in Milwaukee at Turner Hall Ballroom and Jeff did this at that show too.
