I saw John Scofield only once with Dennis Chambers on drums and was incredible. Glad to see he's still got it and then some! Love Tal Wilkenfeld also, great band.
While John and Tal are listed in the headline... lets not miss Larry Goldings on organ. He's a major player as well. Starting with Maseo Parker through to James Taylor's touring band with Steve Gadd, Michael Landau, Jimmy Johnson. He's played with some amazing players in his career. And it's still on fire. Check out his trio work with Goldings, Bernstein & Stewart. And Scary Pocket and may others. He's a beast of player. And very tasty.
Sco and Tal are listed in the headline and Larry Golding is in the name of the band! He is the leader (John and Tal are guests). BTW, John and Larry have played together in many projects.

It’s actually “Scary Goldings.” Scary Pockets has toured with keyboardist/organist Larry Goldings calling it Scary Goldings. They have been featuring John Scofield on guitar and Mononeon on bass. I guess they had Tal sit in.
Robert, I’ve been reading all the comments hoping to find Ted mentioned, and over 50 comments in, you’re the first to do so. What a drummer! Space to burn! And grooooove for miles! Cheers!👍
Love her very tall Fender Bassman Amp . I had a Fender Bassman 50 top with VT Bassman 2 15 bottom. McCartney used it in the making of Let It Be , the Rooftop and all that. One of the best bass amps ever and at 50 watts tube driven, you could really drive it.
Hey John, I’ve been digging your stuff a long time, you’d could say I love it. I hate to tell you, I might love Tal a little, lot more. I’m talking she rocks. And she’s a lot easier to look at.😮😂
I was having a hard time trying to put my enthusiasm into words, so thank you for enabling me to just add my "Amen, brother(or sister)" to yours. Tal is just a joy to watch and listen to. Also, her "stank face" near the end is one of the best things ever to be captured on video, IMHO.
@@woudytreez2755 @LerockJohn is referring to their individual distinct Images. Tal and Leland are both extremely talented bassists in their own right and distinctive from each other. They also respect each other. Its not a competition.
Scary pockets jammers with Scofield and Wilkenfeld!! What’s the world coming to!!!😂👍👍👍👏👏
Scofield is a legend. And Tal brings SO much to any session she's on bass - a future legend, indeed!
She's now a legend. There is no need of being dead, bald or grey-haired to get there.
actual legend I would say.
Nice to see Tal back on Bass again....!!
Agreed! Been awhile since I've seen or heard anything from her.
@@fastinbulvis2223 she filled in several large shows with Incubus this summer. she's been working :)
pluck pluck, dandandan pluck bzz bzz bzz ...Tal = bass.
She's got a couple solo albums, and they're amazing
Yep ! Groovy as hell 😋. With such a bass face, cannot be bad !
Watching and listening to John play guitar never gets old. Tal playing so funky and hasn’t aged in ten years.
Tal sounding as great as ever since her days with the late great Jeff Beck🙏
Pros having a good time, so were the listeners. Lovely to see Tal again :)
So good to see Tal back on the road again. I could listen to her bassplaying all day!
Why are the bands all white even though the music is black based ?
@@WildtoneMusic Yawn...another Troll trying to start sh!t online
@@WildtoneMusicdoes it matter
@@WildtoneMusic You could say ALL this music is black based as it is rooted in West African rhythms and melodies.

Everybody killing it!!! Tal sounding great...and the groove is scary indeed!
Sco and Tal sound great, buy also give it up for Larry Goldings on the B3. I could listen to this band all night.
Love Tal Wilkenfeld , she is so awesome. Love when she jamed with Jeff Beck.
Not just ‘jam’; she was in the band for years.
I knew she was 🤘😎
I like the way Tal moves. She really feels the music! 😉

What a bass face and a bass player 🙂 !
Great! And some additional Scary Pockets. Wonderful :)!

Old and wide open! Rockjazz of the 80th! 😎🤟😉
It‘s Scary Goldings ❤
yes I mentioned them in title of the second vid of these guys and will add more mention of Larry Goldings band deservedly so, thanks
Soooo good! I haven't hear anything from Scofield in years. Loved it!
Tight band. So fun.
Tal has come into her own, and is a joy to hear in this ensemble.
Her confidence makes the music that much better.
Fantastic
I love his lines. They can be so angular.
Scofield is one of those very few Git - Pickers who's playing is almost instantly recognizable.
Awesome!!
appreciate all the comments, more vids from Monterey jazz festival and Scofield, Tal and Scary Goldings coming soon, please subscribe......thanks

I was wondering what Tal has been up to these days. Good to see the Sco and her doing that thang. 🎸🌎☮️🤓👍🥓
Check out her cover of Joni's Big Yellow Taxi! Tal is a freakin' beast on bass with the voice of an angel!!!
She filled in for Incubus bassist Ben Kenney early in 2023. Ben was recovering from brain surgery at the time.
Too cool for school !!
Haven't seen Ted Poor since 'Live From Here' ! He's one of my favorite drummers.

Another great Tal bass play
every time I hear him play, I learn something. he is a library.
Don’t mind me, just here for one of the finest musicians I know.. Tal Wilkenfeld. 🔥🔥 okay Sco, and Scary too okay
Man have I missed Tal. She's come a long way since the Jeff Beck show I saw her in. She also ages like a fine wine. Spectacular.

Oui mais pas tant que Marcus Miller...
Pas mal Scoffield a un style ...
La bassiste est la parce qu'elle est jeune et que c'est une fille...
Larry and John have been playing together for decades. One of my favorite Scofield albums with Larry on organ was Groove Elation, released in 1995.
